Nasty Food. Don't waste your time save your money. Your better off going to a little taco stand, you know the mobile ones. Crunchy tacos are soggy and kids burritos too. The margaritas are super weak. The carne asada is super tough like leather. It seemed that all the food was warmed up in the microwave. I don't care how much food you put on the plate, the food is nasty. There are many good reviews written about this place, you people must be able to eat anything. The service was good. The best thing about the whole meal was the chips and salsa at the beginning and the ice cream at the END... Good food, solid and delicious. MUCH better service across the spectrum than the McLoughlin location, which is too bad. The salsa stays full, the water stays full, beverages are maintained, and the bill arrives quickly. Just moved here to Portland and heard that this was a great Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately I was not that impressed with the food, it was decent but not great. I ordered the 2 tacos that comes with rice and beans. The tacos were full of lettuce that overwhelmed the plate, one of my tacos was missing half of it. Overall the food was fine but it's not a go to place for me. I will try out other places here in Oregon read more

Chicken in the enchilada was flavorless and watery. Black beans lacked salt. The chile relleno was 90% batter. The rice was your average mexican rice. The only star was the chicken tamale which was incredible. Very disappointed. Wish I could find good Mexican food. read more

Oh my, we were seated in minutes even though it was just before 6p, within minutes we had salsa and chips, the food was good, fast, hot and made with quality ingredients. We witnessed the employees clean away a table of 8+ in less than 5 minutes - - it was like magic - - there one minute gone the next. Left the largest tiff I think I've ever given. slow service,very oily food. went with 2 other adults and a child and all off the plates we ordered had large portions of beans and rice and medium size entree portions. all but one of the dishes were very greasy,as in floating in grease, the chilli relleno was not greast but a bit over cooked. the beans were not fresh as they had a pasty been cooked then frozen then re-heated deal going on. i had chilli colorado and the flavor was good, if you can get by all the oil. my daughter had mole, also good flavor but way too oily. she is somewhat of a mole expert as it's been one of her favorites since she was about 5 years old and her first comment was "wow that's a lot of oil". her husband had some chicken dish with peppers and onions, fajitas without the sizzle, same deal there ok flavor but supper oily.grandson had an enchilada which was the only thing we orderd that didn't look covered in oil. and for ground beef didn't taste too bad.` the good- lots and lots of chips and salsa too make the long wait for entrees seem shorter. and the chips were warm and tasted very fresh. they left us a picther of water and brought lots of ice so we never ran out of drinks. also the brought an ice cream dish for my grandson who though only being 16 months ate almost the whole thing. service was nice and friendly but they were slowed down a lot by the kitchen. we went in a around 3:30 and didn't get out till 4:45 on a sunday. not a busy time for any resturant and we were there for 45 minutes before we got food. not a horrible experience but not sure if i would go back...maybe for chips and a margarita :) read more

Consistently tasty, authentic Mexican food, always fresh and sometimes a wait for a table. Portions sizes for a hungry man and margarita's that would make Jimmy Buffet happy. Huge fan of the soups, mole and burritos. Everyone raves about the endless chips and salsa and we are no exception. read more

This is a vegan review. The waiter was vegan friendly, the menu was not. One thing on the entire menu said vegetarian, that was a burrito. How boring. I opted for a taco salad, mentioned it would be meat & dairy free so I asked if I could sub black beans instead of meat. I could. The waiter courteously mentioned the guac had sour cream mixed in but he could sub avocado & I happily said yes. What I recieved was a shell full of black beans & tons of shredded iceberg lettuce & one wedge of tomato & the promised avocado That's literally it. I didn't get the refried beans it was supposed to come with. I let that slide but I did ask the waiter about the one tomato wedge. He says that's how it always comes but graciously offered to Bring me diced tomatoes. With that & some salsa on top eventually it was pretty tasty but I'm pretty disappointed about the lack of options & ingredients. I will definitely not come back unless I'm starving & with someone who really wants to eat there. Mexican food is so vegan friendly I'm very surprised they haven't figured this out but kudos to the awesome waiter who did all my modifications w/ no hesitation & a smile on this face. read more

I've been eating at this restaurant for over 25 years. Today was the first time I noticed there was no guacamole or sour cream on my tostada. I called the restaurant and the following explanation was given: Only when a tostada is ordered ala carte would there be guacamole and sour cream. My order was ordered as a combination and the meal came with beans rice and cabbage coleslaw. In my opinion a tostada should be the same ingredients no matter how you order. A tostada is a layered salad. The person on the phone explained over and over again but it dosen't change my definition of what a tostada should be. He offered to give me half order of guacamole and sour cream but since I had already eaten that didn't help this situation today. When I reviewed the menu above the listed combinations there was a line to the effect if you wanted extra guacamole and sour cream it would cost $.50 more. I didn't want extra I just wanted some. I'll know better next time but I'm really dissatisfied of this tostada today. read more

Food was tasteless! Received the wrong dish from what was ordered and sent back. They did however get the correct dish to our table right away. My dish had no flavor at all not even salt and pepper. I actually had to use salt & pepper on my meal. Being a Mexican restaurant you would think their meat would be seasoned but it was not at all. I will not go back! read more

The food is really good. And i have eaten here serval times and always had a good time. But, I have one suggestion get rid of the seat in the corner. You fill separated from everything. I was there last night and the service wasn't up to par. I'm not sure if it was to busy or the seat in the corner. Again the place was busy which is good but you should take a little better care of the smaller groups. We paid for dinner too. I hope next time is a better experience. :( read more

I love this place and the waitstaff is so friendly if I haven't been in for awhile they ask where I have been. They keep your salsa full and the chips are yummy. I love going here for lunch.
