The food here was absolutely bomb. I enjoyed myself a lot in here with my friend. We ordered 2 sodas, 1 burger, 1 taco plate, 1 side of fries. Total is like $32. Definitely enough food to take home. However, when I asked for utensils, the chef seems unhappy with me. Other than that, great experience. read more

I'd never expect this place to be as solid as it is. I haven't tried their sandwiches but they do an excellent job with the Mexican portion of their menu. The steak tacos are wonderful and their house salsa has a kick. The fish taco was pretty good, but it felt like they might have used a frozen fish stick for the filling lol. I'm assuming he's the owner. So after buying this particular bagel sandwich the past 5 yrs, I was unhappy with my order because the sandwich wasn't made as they usually make it. The sandwich cost me $9 plus a tip. I bought it back after it taste funny, because it left an after taste in my mouth. I usually get a toasted bagel with butter with bacon or extra bacon. They don't usually toast the top of the bagel but this time the sandwich was smashed down and the outside and inside of bagel was toasted. I brought the sandwich back maybe 1 hr later because I was working. The owner was furious and said this is the 2nd time bringing back a sandwich in the past few months and I'm not making you another one. You are no longer welcome to comeback because you've brought back a sandwich twice. I was a little confused because any other restaurants would have gladly prepared a new sandwich. After 5 years and only bringing back 2 sandwiches, I think that's pretty darn good. I was pissed after he said that to me and he better be glad that I was in my uniform or he would have seen a different side of me. When my coworkers suggested for me to Yelp his place. I saw all the bad reviews and I guess that's why he's so rude and mean. Like I said I always ordered the same thing and never had any complaints until this year. I don't know if he's cutting corner and serving old bread or grill had something on it but it tasted disgusting and he told me to never to come back. Well, I will NEVER EVER return to his place and I will make sure I get my other coworkers to Yelp his place also. Help small businesses they say...let me help him with these reviews!!! Great place to grab a bite after a night out with friends. I have to admit that I was a tipsy when I ordered a burrito from here one night. The Burrito was delicious and I also had a side of chips with salsa. My friends had the tacos and they said it was really good too. I actually want to come back and try the food when I'm completely sober lol. Then I'll really know if it's as good as I remember. The downside is that it's CASH ONLY...which loses a star. I'm NOT a fan of Cash Only places.....It's 2017!!! It's in very convenient location on Santa Monica Blvd. I'm guessing that a majority of their customers are from the Santa Palm Car Wash. Great way to wait for your car while it's being washed. Parking is street metered for the most part. Not sure if there are any areas without restrictions for parking. Was excited to try this since it was packed amd everyone was ordering food after the clubs. To my disappointment the tacos were a mess. They didn't even provide any salsa. The burgers looked good but weren't seasoned nor was it cooked properly the meat had a frozen freezer burn taste to it. So disgusting and would not recommend this place. The indicator should have been when the girl took back her food and said it didn't taste right. Oh well live and learn go to a real taco stand next time. read more

Stopped here last night after pre-gaming at a friend's place nearby, during our walk to the bars. It was drizzling and around 10:30pm, so when we arrived it was us and one other customer, who was waiting ahead of us. A grabbed a steak and a chicken taco... my friend a pork and a steak taco... my other friend is on a diet so he just watched. Sucker! Both of us loved the 'street taco' style soft tacos, they TOTALLY hit the spot, were piping hot and the flavors were just dead-on authentic. I think we spent about $6 each for two-tacos-and-a-soda... not sure why people are complaining that this place is pricey, that's not bad by LA standards, at least in my book. We were glad it was opened! (I had promised my straight friend that there was food here at this time) We ordered nachos and a chili cheese burger with fries. Decent burger stand in WeHo, very convenient if you leave the notorious WeHo bar scene early and want a snack. Not as iconic as Irv's but a West Hollywood staple nonetheless.
