I went in this place right after they opened at 11am. You can tell it's under new management, I believe it even has a new name. Anyway, the nice gentleman at the counter promptly took my order and said it would be a few minutes. That was fine, as I knew it would be fresh. A minute later, a gentleman walked out the kitchen with what appeared to be a pesticide applicator. He turned around and his uniform confirmed my assumption. He then began to spray pesticide in the direct area where the food station was. I politely cancelled my order and walked out. I can't speak for the food, but the exterminator totally ruined my appetite. Won't be back. read more

I have tried a lot of these peruvian chicken places and decided to try this one for lunch. I ordered the 1/4 white chicken combo with shrimp. My order was initially rung up incorrectly, but the person working there quickly corrected my ticket. This was not a big deal, but I have seen several reviews for this place complaining that orders seem to be incorrect frequently. I think the price point is good considering you get a drink and two sides. The inside looked clean and is spacious. My only real issue was the wait time. Most of these pollo a la brasa places get you in and out quickly during lunch, but this was the slowest I have experienced. I agree with another reviewer that calling in ahead is wise. The food itself was delicious and was a large portion. The shrimp were amazing and the chicken was moist and cooked perfectly. Overall I think 4 stars is fair for this place. read more

The 2 "large" sizes for me looked like small. I was expecting a bit more for 2 large yucas. The fried yucas was alright tho.The chicken is alright had a smokey taste to it. Try to go for the chicken when you smell it outside from the store (i didint get mines cooked fresh which you know just a me thing). The people were very nice and can speak both english and spanish. They got apple pay and several mexican food options which i didint know of. The place was empty (i went around 2) and kinda dark. On 1 January 2025, I walk in to this "restaurant" at abaout 2 pm First when I walk in. The lights were out, Dinning area was dark. I waited to be attended, and no one was at the front desk, so I served myself a drink from the cooler which I opened knowing that I would eat and drink there and I would pay for the food and drink. 5 minutes later, a guy come from the back and asked me how I could be help, to what I answer I want a quarter of chicken, he replied breast or leg, I said anything is fine. I ask him what side the order included , to what he responded. Read the menu. He was kind stutter in spanish to what I ask him if he speaks spanish or prefer English, he responded with a question as if I speak English to what I say yes. So I ask him in English of what was the sides for the order , to what he responded is your food you add whatever you want to.. To what I said , that please charge me for the drink because was already open, that I will not eat there. He replayed thanks GOD. To what I said why he would treat costumers like that, to what he responded I being a d...h... I ask him for his manager to complain to what he responded he was the manager. I told him he shouldn't be in that position because that is not a way to treat a costumer. He responded just pay for the drink and get the f. Out of here. He challenged me by saying his name was Cailo' if I want to file a complaint with the owner. Well I hope the owners see this review, and as he thanks GOD when costumer refuse to eat there, he can get an answer to his prayer and no one go there to eat. Enjoyed the chicken, ribs, beans & rice, and sweet plantains. My husband loves the chicken, but I thought the ribs were well cooked & seasoned. Meat falls off the bone, the white bone/cartilage is soft and can easily be chewed on without cracking your teeth (if you like eating the soft bones) - The crowns on my molars and teeth caps thank the chef! Disappointed. This used to be a very good Peruvian Pollo spot. The pollo has lost that Peruvian pollo taste, it bland with no flavor. The fries and yuca are over cooked and have a very dark color to allude that the oil is old or they are left out, I received cold fries and yuca. The black beans and rice had a funny smell almost as if they also are old. And on top of it all, the service is unfriendly and I. Even got an eye roll from the young lady when she almost ran me up with the wrong order. It's like they are being bothered when you arrive. Employees are super sloppy. One dropped my order of plantains on the floor, she picked some of it up threw it in the trash, and kicked the rest under the counter. Then she went and rinsed her hands with water and no soap. She then stuffed the order into a plastic bag without even bothering to close the containers. When I got home one of my orders was missing. First I was a little hesitant about the whole in the wall looking place- but after trying the chicken quesadillas I've been hooked! It's a great kids combo that comes with fries and a drink for only $5.00. I've also had the chicken fajitas and that comes with rice, salad and beans very flavorful and taste so good. Possibly the worst chicken quesadilla Ive ever had. Could be I'm used to grilled white meat being used in every quesadilla Ive ate before... Not ripped off dark meat pieces of a rotisserie chicken and soggy tortilla .. completely different taste ..somehow too sweet and in my opinion sloppy . Not worth the money for the quesadilla. Told myself to give it a try even though I read all the reviews. 1. I thought it was hilarious that the young employee does have an attitude. Which is stated in 80% of the reviews. 2. Only one had a on a mask and no gloves. 3. My chicken was very very dry and flavorless. I just thought it looked dry and maybe moist on the inside. Absolutely not! Everything taste like it's been sitting for some time. The rice & beans over cooked and flavorless. No seasoning at all. I couldn't even eat the plantains which are my favorite. The were fried up and not warm or hot at all. Also some sauce was supposed to come with my chicken meal. It never made it. I had two tacos I should've just made at home. The ice burg letter medley on the taco was a big miss for me. OMG and the Queso ABSOLUTELY NOT! I tried one chip of it and couldn't finish it. It's definitely not homemade. It taste like family dollar cans of queso. Which is completely off brand but you get what you pay for. They should seriously be ashamed of the queso. I think the pricing is good but I wish the food was. Everything you see here unfortunately made it to the trash. Today, I ordered the chicken burrito, for which my hopes never rose above three stars on a yelp scale). Today this 1.5-3 star maybe turned my taste buds into a 4 star believer. Piping hot and dripping juice out of its foil wrap. My burrito was pipping hot and ready for the taking. It comes with rice, corn, pico de gallo and that juicy chicken. While the rice is bland, it serves mainly as a filler. The corn was sweet (frozen tasting) and the pico de gallo tasted fresh and citrusy. The flavors rounded off so well, I pushed my limit and ate the whole thing (can you say I.T.I.S.?). This was clearly not an authentic Mexican burrito, but I don't think it was trying to pose as one either. I loved it though. The service is quick. Second, lets talk about prices! I got the half chicken combo meal. With that, you get 1 large side and 1 small side. Ignore what the words "large" and "small" are. I got large rice and beans and it was basically half the plate! The small plantains were more than enough. The chicken is a big whoa. It is huge. It makes me wonder where similar competitors are getting their chickens. And all this for about $10! Is this real life? But let's get to where they lose the elusive Perfect 5 Star Review from yours truly. If you are eating to-go, this place is perfection. However, I came during the work day during lunch. What you are given as fork and knife is a big stretch of those definitions. The fork is more flimsy than a the plastic lid on a Planter's peanut container. The knife isn't much better. By the time I was done trying to cut away the chicken from the bone, my fork looked like it was in the mouth of a toddler for the past week - bent, crooked, and unrecognizable. Some of my friends also had the same issues and their forks broke. But, maybe this is why you get all this food for a $10 steal. I'm not sure how that is even possible and after waiting for an hour for delivery I had to try to figure out another meal for my family to now wait another 40-55 mins. I am a reasonable person and I thought that since I had been coming to your establishment for more than two years, that my simple request for warm fries was not too much to ask. I don't know why you choose to add the untrue statements about me, but you and I both know that you just told an entire scenario of lies, and you especially at NO time cried while I was in the restaurant. I was there to pick up food that day to take to a family that had just lost their father from cancer and I told you that was why I was late, and I apologized for being late. I only asked for a new order of fries. I did not ask to have the entire order redone. What does the cost of the meal have to do with anything?? And to be clear, the meal wasn't cheap nor did I get a "deal" because I ordered through Grub hub. We are all human and if you are willing to be honest, you did NOT treat me with respect that day. For you to say "God bless my soul" I recommend you leave God's name out of your mouth because lies and God's name should not come from the same place. I am done with this issue and your restaurant. Okay this is just how much we like this place. This is my second time here and the food is still the same Grreat! This time we had a farewell luncheon for a coworker and he enjoyed the food and friendly atmosphere as well. I had the Chicken Nachos hold the peppers. It came out hot and was seasoned very well.
