Really great food with unique flavors. Great wine. Not too expensive for the area. Clean and well-lit restaurant. Had an appetizer with egg and mushroom and toast, the salmon tataki, and lemon custard dessert.

Came here for a traditional French meal and wasn't disappointed. They have deals where you can order two (appetizer and entree or entree and dessert) or three courses for a set price. My friend and I each got two courses, I got an appetizer and she got dessert, so we could try more things. I definitely recommend this! We started with the escargots, which were cooked in a cream sauce with mushrooms. Very good! I got the lamb tagine entree and she got sea bass. Bother we're excellent! The lamb was probably the most tender I've ever eaten. We finished with the Valrhona chocolate cake, which was also delicious. A couple of glasses of wine completed the night.

    Main entree: Duck dish.

I really wanted this to be a 4 or 5 star experience, but it wasn't. Not that it was a total loss. Just being in Paris itself is wonderful, so I tried not to let that cloud my judgement. That being said, it was a nice experience. We met up with my friend's friend who studies in Paris. Unless you have a really good sense of direction or know a local, this place is inconspicuous. she led us down a long side street (although there are lots of those in Paris) and it took a while to get there from the main street we were at. It's a cool, hip place to eat. I ordered the duck main entree (our French buddy ordered everything, so I have no idea what it was exactly called...I just said merci) and three mini crème brûlée desserts (vanilla, pistachio, and ginger). I don't usually eat gamey meats like duck, but the French are all about duck, and so I ordered it. It was okay. For duck. I just don't have an affinity for it. It was well prepared though, and I did finish it. The dessert was good as well, although I do not really like ginger either. Hmm. maybe I should have gone for what I liked rather than what is expected. Perhaps next time. All in all it was a nice experience that I would like to try again. No duck next time.

I liked this and I had fun puzzling it out with my friends. We did not do a very good job! It was hard to guess the ingredients and I think they purposefully try to fool you a little. I have photos of each course but I don't remember all the details. We had 6 courses. There was a small starter of a bao bun; mine was markedly less filled than the others on the table, so the proportions were off and I felt shortchanged. Then we had a fish course, a course with savory ice cream and some bread (like cornbread), a mushroom "pate" course, a cheese course (one big slice of cheese), and dessert (ice cream and apricots?). I felt like everything (taste, texture, ingredient quality and variety) were good but not great, especially since they are making things easier on themselves by doing fixed menus. Staff tried to explain what all the dishes and ingredients were, and they did good but not great job. They spoke English but didn't always know the English words for specific ingredients. The ambiance was fine. We were at a long, narrow communal table on the first floor just next to the kitchen and the door. It was a little cold from people coming in and out and a little busy with all the staff moving around. It wasn't the most refined or relaxing atmosphere.

Everything was innovative and delicious (I'm sure the menu changes regularly). They accommodated my gluten allergy and I had the best gluten free bread that I've ever had (made fresh just for me!). We had an outstanding server who taught us a ton about interesting wines as we opted for the wine pairing too. I read some reviews about price point, but it was much cheaper than Prix Fixe in SF, Chicago and NYC where we dine regularly and the portions were big. The vibe was cozy and we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood before hand.

When I asked why, she said, "They're crunchy." My eyes lit up. As a vegan I crave crunchy food because so much plant-based food is soft. Evian was right! This roll had texture. It was beautifully presented in eight pieces. Upon the first yummy bite it was apparent this was cooking at another level. The fry was perfectly light and clean. Each bite substantial. The taste memorable. I have never had a sushi roll like it and now I want to live inside the restaurant so I can have it forever. We also got five pieces of the yummy Seitan Crispy, which comes with a lovely Doenjang sauce, that is thick and flavorful. These unique, protein boosts are also cleanly fried, delectable and filling. Lastly, my husband got the small BBQ Donburi which was a bowl of rice, a flavorful bbq soy protein, and some mesclum. He loved it. We sat outside on the lovely side street and chatted with Evian who made our dinner a memorable experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and wish I could bring it back to America. This place was not only a hit with my kids but was fast, delicious, and healthy, as healthy Chinese food gets. The place is extremely clean, the food is great, and the service is fast and very friendly. When we walked in we were immediately seated. The staff were very friendly and didn't mind that we only spoke English. They immediately switched to English from French and conversed with us, no problem. Our food came out fresh and hot within minutes. The vegetable wok was large and very tasty. My kids had the gyoza and fried noodles with crispy chicken and ate every bite. They kept remarking the entire night that they were so full. For a family of four with four main courses, an appetizer, and four drinks, we paid €72. They have seating all throughout the restaurant. If it looks full from the entrance, still ask for a table because they have a very large rear seating area. I honestly want to taste all of Paris but this place was so good in both its food and service that it's hard not to keep going back. If you go, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy! P.S. my son loved the straws. They look like stalks of bamboo.

I always like to think that places that are packed means the food is good. Well... that wasn't the case, at least not for me. Firstly, the server was extremely rude, by his attitude alone you could tell he didn't want to be there. When I was deciding between two dishes I asked him which one he recommended he responded with "I don't know it's up to you" um what? I then said okay, what's your favorite dish? He said "I don't know, it could be good for you or it could be bad for you. It's up to you" ...Right, so how does this answer my question? Not only was he clueless but his tone was miserable. We then asked about beers, again he didn't know. I mean even if you don't know could you go ask? Or can you pretend like you have a clue? And no it's not that he didn't understand me, he spoke perfect English and understood everything I was saying, he definitely seemed American to me. The food was just alright, prices were average. I could have spent my money elsewhere with better service which I would have preferred. Still confused as to how it has 4 stars but I won't be back again.
