We used to love stopping here on our way back from the cottage when it was Sue-Ellen's. They had…read morethe best poutine at any of the "Casse-Croûtes" on Route 105. The diner has been under new management since 2021 but it has had some difficulty getting off the ground, mainly due to COVID (staffing issues).
We stopped by today and it was busy, as usual. They offer the same food as Sue-Ellen's did: burgers, hot dogs, French fries, poutine, etc.. The new owners have also added donairs and shawarma to the menu.
We usually get a large poutine to share and one Pogo each. We waited for a fair bit of time for our food today. We were pretty disappointed...
The Pogo was burned and our poutine was mediocre. Sue-Ellen's used to have the best gravy and now it's just flavourless. There wasn't much cheese curds in the poutine either...Maybe next time we will try something different and hope for t
