I changed my cleaners a year ago, as the owner was a sweetheart and helped me with a jacket. All seemed ok, until several months ago when I went to pick up my clothes. There was a note attached saying that one dress was missing- my wife explained which dress it was, and they promised to look for it. I went back and the owner tells me maybe I have it at home and to look harder. To not cause a stir I asked the wife to double and triple check which she did to no avail. We are going on 5 months and not only is the dress still missing, we have not been contacted with a remedy, reimbursement or anything . It's like if we don't call they won't either. I contacted at least 4 tailors about a jacket zipper replacement, and each one said they could not help me. Finally I came across La' Ber on Yelp. I sent them a message and they were very responsive and helpful and told me that they could repair my zipper, and they let me know what the price would be based on the pictures I had sent them. I took the jacket in later that day and they were very kind and accommodating. I was able to pick up my jacket a couple days later and the price did not change from what they had initially told me (which is something that other businesses do all the time!. I rarely need dry cleaning services but lately a lot of my jeans have been too big around the waist. At this place I couldn't have found a better tailor. They had an area to try the items on and a cute area with a mirror so you can show her exactly what you want. Although they said it would take a week, it actually was shorter. Amazing service! Came here at 4:48pm thinking I had time before they closed at 5:30pm, but upon arrival, their storefront says they are open until 5:00pm. I walked in and asked if it was okay to have a dress hemmed even though they were closing in 12 minutes, and they were so pleasant and polite they said it was fine. Any other business would have told me to come another day. They even trimmed the dress during my visit, which was only 10 minutes in total. I told them that I didn't need the dress for any deadline, but they said it would be done by the next day. Such speedy service without feeling rushed, and so polite! True religion jeans must be a challenge to tailors as I never had anyone hem it right except here. The lady did an awesome job and I regret not finding her sooner! I had some other articles dry cleaned as well and one of them was a trench coat. My dog chewed off one of the buttons by the sleeve end. My husband wasn't aware of this so he didn't say anything about it when he dropped off the clothes. When I picked them up today, I noticed that she had replaced the button (free of charge!) Never again. I searched all over town for a Tailor to fix my very expensive designer coat. Reading the reviews, I thought I had found the perfect place, then when I arrived and saw all the Designer clothing in the window I was ecstatic. Then..... I picked up my coat. What a waste of time, gas, and energy finding that place. Had I known that they would've sewn it so poorly, I could've done it myself. She's very sweet, very talented and extremely considerate with every step she asked my opinion. She made sure I was going to love my dress which I did. After another dress alteration shop quoted me an astronomical amount, I did my research and found this place on yelp. They got back to me right away with a ball park figure which most shops would not provide. My wedding dress was very simple with no beading, and a previous shop had quoted half the cost of the dress for cups, a bustle, and the shoulders taken up. This shop was able to do the same for a quarter of the price. They are a lovely family owned space with a very experienced tailor and her daughter managing the store.
