Long summary: I unfortunately had a nightmare experience at a bridal shop in Florida that essentially scammed me. I had to find a new dress and I was feeling a little down about the whole experience. Angela was recommended by a friend of mine so I decided to check out her shop. Little did I know, her shop is GORGEOUS and feels like you are walking into a princess's walk-in closet. Angela is so lovely and takes time to listen to what you're looking for. She then allows you to actually look through all of her gowns (YES!) and really see what you like! She lets you try on whatever you'd like and then of course picks a few of her own that are magically perfect. A huge bonus is that she only takes 1 bride per appointment so you get the whole shop to yourself. She is transparent about prices and has very affordable options. She also offers veils (at a very reasonable price), jewelry, hair pieces, and bridesmaid dresses. Needless to say, I found my dream dress and we're up to the alterations stage. When I first walked into Vera's I was greeted so warmly by the reception, namely Irene. The shop was super clean and looked fairly organized. I was paired with Tiara and I showed her a few images of dresses I tried on before with parts that I loved in each one. She picked out 3 dresses for me. What an eye she has! When I tried on the first one, I KNEW IT WAS THE ONE! It's like watching Say Yes To The Dress when brides just feel it's "the one". I tried the other two anyway and after both, I still felt like I needed to try the first one again. Joanna is a magician. The dress was a size 10 and she needed to take it in to a size 4/6. The final fitting was so surreal, the dress fit me like a glove. My dress is intricate with beading and lace and it's crazy how she was able to alter all of it seamlessly!! Because the dress was a floor sample, and not my size, it was at a better price point than a lot of other boutiques. I felt very valued here compared to other boutiques. If I had to recommend a bridal shop, I would highly recommend VERA'S!

I was given a paper to fill out and Ana asked me questions about what I wanted and asked me to show her pictures of dresses I liked. We also discussed the venue and my budget. From then, Ana got to work and picked 8 dresses that fit the style, feel and budget I had described. She included 2 extra that did not fit the style but she thought would look great on me. No one tried to push a more expensive dress on me or make me feel uncomfortable. I tried all the dresses but my mom, friend and I all fell in love with the first one I tried on. While trying on the dresses, we discussed possible improvements for each, what I liked and did not like. The type of fabric and embellishments. She made it clear that mostly everything about each of the dresses was customizable so if I did not love one detail but loved the rest, we could change it. At the end, I bought the first dress I tried on. The dress I fell in love with. One week later, I still do not know the designer and I don't care about that because I love the dress. It was under budget and I felt beautiful in it. Also, alterations are free of charge.

They have many styles and were so accommodating, pulling styles for me and showing things that I may like but have not considered. I ended up with a dress that was pulled out last! Also, I went in thinking I would buy a dress I previously tried on at a separate place and they were able to order it for me if I ended up deciding that I wanted that style from Allure. They are able to order dresses and are very honest with the time it takes to make and get delivered. Another thing to note is that they were not predatory at all which was so refreshing. I had a couple of experiences where I felt pressured to make a decision on the spot and then received many texts after asking me to make a choice which Ira did none of. Overall, a great experience and I was also sent home with an unexpected bottle of Prosecco to celebrate which was the cherry on top!

All she did was give us websites where we could sell the dress when it comes in June 2027. She then tried to pressure us telling us we had only a few days to order a new dress. The managers poor customer service is having them lose a sale on the second dress. I also have another daughter and when she gets married we will not be going there. When searching for my wedding gown, I went to 12 different bridal shops in 3 different cities. Eventually, I found a dress I LOVED at the Pronovias store on 5th Avenue in NYC. It was soft, romantic, and had great movement. However, because I spotted it at the flagship store in Manhattan, I felt it was likely overpriced (not to mention - I felt somewhat uncomfortable in that stuffy bridal shop.) After doing some Google searching, I contacted Rana Bridal in Englewood, NJ. Not only did Rana have the same dress at a better price - she was available that same day for me to come in and try it on. After taking the subway to a ferry to an Uber, I made it to Rana's shop. She was pleasant from the start and helped me decide on a few tweaks to the dress. I wasn't sure about a nude skirt lining, though I liked the detail in the nude bodice. She assured me she could swap out the lining. The original dress had a higher neck, but Rana told me she could tweak the lace to give me a lower cut. In short, that first afternoon with Rana was WELL worth the extra effort to get out to New Jersey and we ordered the Pronovias dress that week! In the months following I had several more fittings with Rana. Her shop was always clean and organized, our appointments always started on our time, and she was always very friendly and accommodating (she even picked me up at the ferry once or twice!). Above all, Rana's handiwork was simply perfection. She changed out the lining, trimmed the many, MANY layers of my skirt to the perfect length, and tweaked the bodice until we were both happy with the new design. She even helped me pick out a veil on Etsy and trimmed that to better suit my look. In the end, my dress fit like a glove and I could NOT have been happier. Even now, months after my wedding, I'm emotional just thinking about it! Getting married is such a fun, exciting time, but of course it can be stressful! I was so grateful that I never needed to worry about my dress. You are in good hands working with Rana. I cannot recommend her enough!

Christina accommodated many appointments and stayed late when the appointment ran late. I'm giving three stars SOLELY because of my experience with alternations. I was told before I bought my dress that altering the sleeves would be no problem. So I said yes to the dress because I was told the sleeves could be changed and was super excited. During my first fitting I was told by the seamstress that the sleeves couldn't be altered the way I was told they could. And if I wanted them like that I wouldn't be able to move my arms. If this was explained to be before buying the dress, I probably would've thought twice about that particular dress. (I would've undoubtedly bought my dress from Sister's Bridal because the service and selection was great). The alterations were very stressful and took 4, maybe 5, fittings to get the sleeves to look semi like what I was originally told (I live an hour+ away, and had to leave work early for many of these appointments). And the seamstress seemed VERY bothered by my alteration request. One my wedding day it was a disappointment with the way the custom alterations looked. The sleeves were uneven. One side held higher on my shoulder and the other wouldn't hold on my shoulder, it was lower on my arm. I can see this in every single forward facing picture from my wedding day. I can't even explain how disappointing that is. It wasn't how I was wearing it either. One side was altered differently and when I tried to move the other side down, material folded awkwardly. When I tried to move the lower side up, it pulled too much and wouldn't stay. Trust me, I tried! So, my advice is buy a dress you love 100% as is and IF you want custom alternations, have the actual seamstress there to say it can be done before buying the dress.
