I brought a dress here to get hemmed. I needed the dress done in a week and was actually nervous it wouldn't get done in time. The seamstress was also going on vacation in a week and had her hands full. La' Ber came through and hemmed my dress faster than the estimated date. So nice and such good, clean work with alterations. I had a dress that needed to be taken in so I brought it in for a fitting and had it pinned. When I picked it up and tried it back on I realized that the silhouette wasn't exactly how I wanted it so I brought it back and spoke with the seamstress. I can't begin to explain the absolute MAGIC this place is. I came in last month to get my wedding dress altered and man, did they deliver!! I came here because Yelp said this was the best place to go for alterations. I am extremely disappointed with my result. I brought in a Birdie Grey bridesmaid dress. The younger girl who was there wasn't that friendly when I tried to make conversation about how excited I was to be there. That's fine, doesn't mean they don't give good results. The seamstress altered the top to make sure it fit my bust and hemmed the bottom. She was nice. But I returned today and found that the top pleats look completely uneven and squished. I think it looks awful. I told the seamstress that I didn't like how it looked, and the seamstress just shrugged and said, "well we decided to only take out the sides" and told me after when she saw I was visibly upset, "well these dresses always have this problem"....if this was a usual problem, why didn't she warn me before the alteration? I was stunned for her to say that. My dress has a shawl that I can wear in different ways and she also told me "well if you wear it like this, you can hide this part". Okay, so I wear the shawl to hide your work? Great. What really bothers me if she saw I was visibly upset and didn't offer any solutions and seemed surprised at the price for the alterations. Now I'm moving and will have to go somewhere else to try to fix this problem. If you have Birdie Grey Dress, I would stay away from here. read more

Great experience! My son's suit for his 8th grade formal needed a quick hem and pressing.. and I got lucky and found this place not too far from my family's home. Pleasant interaction as soon as I walked in. I explained my dilemma (my son's formal was the NEXT day). She didn't bat an eye and immediately told me it could be done and asked what time I wanted to pick it up. I was late for the pickup but the results were great. Slacks hemmed perfectly, Pocket Square looking sharp and suit pressed. Very happy with the final result and the $$$. I went to La' Ber for my wedding dress alterations. I had gotten my A-line full skirt gown with delicate appliqué detail (Galatea by Watters) pre-owned, so there were slight tears that needed reinforcements and for the length to be shortened. They did such a lovely job on it, and I can't wait to wear it for my wedding. Also, when I tried to tip, I was informed that the owner doesn't accept the tips personally but uses it to help others (ie, buys school supplies for kids in need). I thought this was very generous. Overall, the quality of the work is great and the people working there were also fantastic. Would definitely recommend and will go there for future alterations. read more

Very happy I found this place. One of the hardest places to find is a fair-priced dry cleaner. I have gone twice myself and referred another person who has been there twice as well, so far neither of us have complaints. I took a white fur that had lipstick smudged on the collar, they were able to get it out with no issue and returned in a timely manner. I have to have some pants tailored, stay tuned for my review on that. read more

Had a great first tailoring experience here! Asked for a quote online and was given an accurate price ($45 to take in a dress). I bought a size 2 when I'm actually a size 0 and I walked in right before they closed (they told me it was okay on the phone!) and they marked my dress. The first time I came here I had to bring my suits, and the owners were very helpful. The inside of the establishment was very clean. Now although the owners do not speak good english the way that they conduct their business is timely and to the point. Now I have a jacket that has sheep's wool on the inside and brown leather on the outside. I've had to take it to other dry cleaning establishments in the past and they could not get it cleaned. All I'm gonna say is that this place has taken this jacket that couldn't get cleaned and made it brand new!!!!!They also do sewing.... So yes this was amazing!! Pictures will be coming soon!!! She's done it once again !! Kiymet is a fairy godmother and magician all wrapped into one! I have my brother in laws wedding coming up. Two back to back c-sections and nursing hasn't been too kind to my body. I was really feeling anxious about finding a dress. When I finally found something it need a ton of adjustments to work with my mom bod. I went here to get my bridesmaid dress altered. They were quick and did a pretty good job taking out excess fabric and having it perfectly fit my body. They also hemmed the dress very beautifully. The only issue was that I requested they put new padding in the dress, and take out the previous bra padding (that came with the dress). I requested this as I have no boobs to fill the dress. I asked if the tailor could take the old one out and put in the new one. When she said that she could, I expected the padding to be inside the dress- not how it's shown in the photo. It was just sewn on in three areas for each cup, something I could've done myself. Having that I paid more for the alterations than the dress itself, I wasn't so happy. After purchasing my wedding dress from David's Bridal & hearing horrifying accounts of their alterations department, I turned to yelp to find a reputable tailor. La'Ber rated significantly better than all other choices. In the evening hours, I sent a message to make an appointment not expecting to hear back until the following day. Within minutes I had a response and an appointment. The shop, owned & operated by Kiymet & her daughters, is very clean & has samples of some of their work on display. At the initial fitting, Kiymet was very professional & paid attention to every intricate detail. I was so happy with the service that I returned with my flower girl & 3 bridesmaids, all their dresses requiring significant work. The woman at front is a bit elderly and sometimes seems to be a little confused. I was surprised to see a gentleman come in and fill out his own slip but the next time I did the same and they just checked each item and wrote the price. Odd but I didn't mind because she seemed to need help. Pricing is excellent by the way. I wish I had could remember exact pricing but they are very reasonable. You definitely have to have patience at times. I went back once when my clothes were supposed to be ready but one of the skirts wasn't done. He told me and was apologetic and I said, fine, I'd return in a few days. When I picked my items up the skirt was beautifully done. It was a white wool skirt with a leather band and belt and he did just as great a job, as another higher priced "specialty" dry cleaner. I took a dress and jacket set that was a favorite of mine -that I hadn't worn in a while because of a stain that I thought couldn't come out. Well -I was very happy that they were able to make it like new! My daughter's little fancy dresses look like new also. I now feel confident taking my more expensive items because they've done a great job with what I've taken in so far. They've been in the area for years. I'm going to keep coming here. It's old school for sure and the location isn't great. There is a very small, awkward parking lot. don't expect some grand operation- they seem to be just hanging on, but if want your items nicely dry-cleaned at a very reasonable rate, want to support a small mom and pop operation, and like nice customer service you should give them a try.

I walked in completely clueless on a whim, tactlessly not making an appointment, and even though it was Juan's lunchbreak he still immediately took the time to see me and work with me. That said... let the man eat. Don't interrupt his break! I still feel bad about it!!! About the tailoring: Juan is just That Dude. He WILL make you look better and point out ways to make the clothes better compliment your body that others don't even know about. The pricing felt extremely fair and not at all like I was being overcharged for the amount and quality of work being done. Not only that, Juan did me a solid by getting the alterations done in-time with a big move out of state. Last minute, off of a random walk-in, and brother still treated me like I was a long time regular. And matter of fact, even though I'm going to be living down south I WILL still be getting my nicest clothing tailored by Juan. That's what his work is worth to me. 10/10 will be making sure I get my nephews' first suits tailored by him too
