Their parking is in the back and there is plenty of it and when you enter the salon, you're generally greeted by a friendly pooch. The people in the salon always seem upbeat and appear to work well with teenagers and adults. I have not seen them cutting a youngster's hair but I have no doubt they would do just fine. I found a stylist that listened to what I wanted and then was able to perform to my liking. She adjusts her schedule to my needs and is very understanding when I needed to reschedule. As with most salons there was a selection of professional products that were on display to buy but none of the workers made it their life's mission to sell it. In fact, my stylist was so sweet about it that I ended up buying a bottle just because she didn't push it so much! I'm glad I have found this spa that offers so much more than just haircuts. There are massages, manicures, pedicures, waxing, facials, you name it! I'm looking forward to experiencing the other services offered but would be willing to go back solely for the hair cuts. Stop on by!

The salon owner is refusing to honor our gift card that we paid for. Stay away from this business. She's stealing money from community members and is extremely rude.

I was not impressed with stylist technique nor final result. I called and asked about the Groupon…read moreservice. I was told by Donna she would honor the $23.00 price for a cut without actually purchasing the deal, just come in with an appointment. Due to the current virus hair washing and a Blow out were impossible. I understood. The day I went the location was rather warm, especially due to the required face mask. I was perspiring. I can forgive all of this. The real problem was I offered a picture of what I wanted and she stated she understood. The final result was not what I wanted, nor was it like the picture. It was too short. I even asked how much experience she had and I was told she had been doing it 25 years. Wow. I'm not sure what happened. The final straw was when I was leaving she said I owed her $35.00. Not the agreed upon price. I reminded her of the arrangement discussed. Donna complied with hesitation. I gave her $30.00. More than fair I felt. I was told next time it would be $35.00 (plus a tip of course). No worries, I won't be back. Reminder, there was no wash or blow out. Overall I didn't feel listened to. My suggestion to Donna is more listening and less talking by the stylist about everything but what I wanted. I am not looking for a new friend, I just wanted a hair cut similar to my request. Final thought, she recommended getting a trim every three weeks. I am not made of money, I am on disability and that is a silly recommendation Especially after I told you I am Lucky to go every eight weeks. She was trying to push for a follow up.

I don't know how much they normally charge, but at the event it was about $15. It was super quick -- about 15 minutes tops, probably less. They were stocked with multiple color options -- I went with a chrome for a more subtle touch. The stylist told me they can last months if you're gentle with them, but I'm not fairly rough on my hair, lol. Still, a few weeks later most are still in. Throughout the evening some of the salon stylists were popping around to talk about their full services and literally all of the ladies were super sweet and friendly. Also love that they have juices and healthy foods -- I think they provided the tea and acai on the distillery menu that night. Seems like a great space -- heads up that they do hair tinsels if you're looking for someone who offers it! Even though it's a bit of a hike for me, the staff was so sweet that I'd consider making the drive if I needed services.

Even the newest stylist knew exactly what I wanted and made it work! I love my new style!!! Utopia is the best place in Syracuse for men's haircuts, hands down! Situated in a plaza in the village of Liverpool,Utopia Hair Professionals offers full beauty…read moreservices for your look. Perms, reconstructive treatments, hair coloring and straightening are just some of their specialized offers, and they also have a barbershop area in the front for men's haircuts, and even back or chest waxing. Now...I'm obviously bald, so I can't personally speak to their haircuts, BUT...I have a large beard I always keep. Years ago, I started searching for a barber who could shape me up, fix up my lines, etc. All the stuff I don't wanna do at home for fear of messing up. I had it done by a couple people, but wasn't completely satisfied with my results. One day, before my wedding, I randomly walked into Utopia looking to get a trim. Matt was sitting behind the counter and said he could take me right then. And since then, he is the only person I allow to trim up my beard. He is the only one who has ever done exactly what I wanted done. While I don't have hair, I've seen what Matt can do with cuts, and he does a great job with those too. He is also a very personable, nice guy to deal with, and it's enjoyable having some banter with him while getting a trim. The one drawback is, other than the first time I walked in, I have NEVER simply walked in and gotten a trim. Matt is walk-in only, and he's pretty popular, and there's always a line and a wait. But, there are plenty of other stylists who can help you in both the barbershop and the salon as well. My wife has gotten her hair cut and styled several times by several different stylists here and has always walked out happy and looking good. Their prices are very fair, they're in a plaza so there is always plenty of parking, and all their employees have always been extremely pleasant to deal with, including the owner, who is always there and making conversation with customers. Highly recommend.
