Always nice to see a place featuring local oysters, and they were a great start to the meal. For my main, I went with the tuna bowl and really enjoyed it. The tuna was fresh, the ingredients worked well together, and the whole bowl was flavorful without being overly complicated. Everything tasted fresh and the portion was just right. Definitely something I would order again. As far as the atmosphere goes, keep your expectations simple. This isn't a fancy waterfront seafood restaurant or a place you're necessarily coming to for the décor. It's casual and pretty no-frills, but honestly, that's perfectly fine when the food delivers. The service was also very good--friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our visit. Overall, Dock & Claw is a solid Beach Haven spot if you're looking for fresh seafood, good service, and a relaxed meal without all the fuss. The local oysters and tuna bowl were both winners for me. I'd definitely come back the next time we're in the area.

Giving an average rating because we've had two completely different experiences here…read more Last year, the food was excellent. We really enjoyed the Bongo Shrimp, Mango Tango Tuna Bowl, and Jerk Chicken Quesadilla. We left excited to come back. This year, we ordered those same favorites along with the conch fritters, and unfortunately it was a letdown. The tuna was fatty and so heavily seasoned that you couldn't appreciate the natural flavor of the fish. The jerk chicken quesadilla had barely any chicken, and the conch fritters were severely overcooked and so chewy that we couldn't eat them. Thankfully, the Bongo Shrimp was just as delicious as we remembered. I'm hoping this was just an off day for the kitchen because our first visit was so good. Based on that experience, I'd still be willing to give them another chance.

THE SERVICE ------------------- + Considering how busy and chaotic it was, all of the employees were working blazingly fast. They did warn us that it would take about 30 minutes for our food to come out because of how busy it was. + All employees were relatively courteous and helpful. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + A lot of tables indoors and outdoors, but they fill up fast during peak summer hours. - No private parking lot, but there is a lot street parking right outside (if you can get a spot during peak summer hours). There is a public parking lot across the street too. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = This restaurant was realllllly happening, which was a great sign. Came by at 7 PM on Labor weekend Sunday and saying that it was chaotically busy was an understatement. It was the busiest restaurant we went to BY FAR and probably one of the busiest in Beach Haven, LBI. = There are 2 lines inside, one for ice cream and one for food. = Order your food first, then grab a seat, however, you can definitely try to snag a table first, if possible. Chances are that it will take some time for your food to be prepped when it's very busy.

With tax and tip came to $93.00 The chicken cheesesteak was very good but the bread. The tacos consisted of three tacos per order a little light on the shrimp only 2 small pieces of shrimp per tacoo for $19 per order. If they would've added an extra shrimp or two to each taco would've been more satisfying. The salad was very good. The lobster bisque had more potatoes in the soup than I expected.
