The decor and atmosphere give the impression of a fine dining experience, unfortunately I'll have to say the prices and quality of service are not justified. Let's start with the food. The food was good, particularly the cebiche leche de tigre. It was very traditional and the right balance of acidity and spice and sweetness from the fish. The chicha morada (traditional Peruvian non alcoholic drink) was on point. The octopus anticucho was good. The octopus is expertly cooked and tender. The olive sauce and mushroom, potato and Lima been yellow sauce was also good; however, the dish lacked some brightness from acidity. The service: My party waited to be seated even though we had a reservation. Partly because their iPad system wasn't working and the hostess had to charge a back up iPad to check us in. It also seems they are understaffed. The host that took us to our table ended up taking our order because our sever took too long to come check in on our table. We ordered some fried yucca as a appetizer however we were done with our meal and had to remind the waiter that we had placed the order for them. He brought them out right away, however they were nothing special unfortunately. Super starchy and a bit oily. Our table was in the back of the restaurant by the pier as we wanted to enjoy the view. Unfortunately that meant we were mostly ignored and had to fight for the attention of the waiter.

The restaurant has an upstairs as well. Our server was very nice and pleasant to speak with. Gave us some recommendations on the menu as well as drinks. We started with a cocktail and a glass of red wine. For our appetizer we had the Pulpo, coliflor and Hueso Asado. The pulpo which is octopus was nice and tender. Really delicious. The coliflor was okay. It was a little dense for me. The Hueso Asado was scrumptious, buttery and full of flavor, but half of a bone marrow was too small for an appetizer and only served with 4 small thin crostini. For entree we had the Ojo de Bife and Malbec short ribs. The Ojo de Bife which is the rib eye was delicious and grilled perfectly. The meat was not as tender, but the meat itself had a lot of flavor. The short ribs were excellent! Very tender and scrumptious. I would order this again. They should bring back the beef tongue or Lengua. I heard it is a must try. Anyway, we had a great time. It was a great atmosphere and love the vibe on this place. Would definitely come back!

Stopped by after the farmer's market - and Cholita Linda's seemed like a great spot to try. The line was a bit hefty even at 2pm, but the sandwiches looked so good! We went with the baja fish taco and asado (Peruvian roast beef) sandwich with a strawberry agua fresca. Water is self-serve, and you get the buzzer thing to notify you of your food. I loved the sandwich so much - bread was tasty, meat was juicy and delicious, and I just mowed it down. I honestly wanted a papito too because steak and plantains sounds so good too - but stuck with asado and no regrets there too. (There'll be a next time right? :)) Absolutely would come back here despite the options available at the Ferry Building - wish there was a closer location in the Peninsula :)

None of us had been here before but a quick Yelp search led us to this place. I got two baja fish tacos and a bottle of Sprite. My total came up to $14.01. The pricing is fair and actually much cheaper than other food establishments, especially in SF. The tacos were good, the fish was fresh and crispy. The batter was perfect. The salsa mixed with the crema, in my opinion helped to seal the flavor of the tacos. I filled up with the two tacos. I know that I will come back to get some more fish tacos in the future. But, also curious and wanting to try their carnitas. Next time for sure. We chose to sit outside to take advantage of the gorgeous weather California, well that the Bay Area is experiencing. It was unseasonably warm for a "winter" day in SF. The views are great, but be careful of the wandering seagulls lol. They love to eat at Cholita Linda too! :) We came on a Friday during lunch and it was relatively busy but we were able to place our order, get a buzzer and pick up our food quickly. The great thing about eating here is that you can take a stroll around the Ferry Building, window shop and maybe get some dessert as well in the other shops. Not to say that Cholita Linda doesn't offer dessert, they do, but I was stuffed and couldnt have a bite of anything else. Staff was super friendly and the place was clean. Loved the colors and the overall vibe of the location. My friends loved their food too. Girls lunch....success!!

When we arrived the place was pretty empty, and the server was eager to help us. We put in our order to go and waited. But it does not end there, since we were waiting in the restaurant, the server brought us not only chips and salsa, but a few welcome drinks as well which were delicious. It was so kind of her to do that even if we were ordering to go. The food was also absolutely incredible. The tacos are $6 which originally shocked me, but once I got the taco I understood. They were very large, filled to the brim with rice and protein. I could barely get through one and a half. The tortilla is homemade and you can taste the quality. I got the Mole and Chicken Salsa and they were both so juicy, flavorful, and well seasoned. My other friends got the Poc Chuc (a classic pork dish) which got rave reviews. So excited to come back here and try more of the menu.
