I have worked with most of their techs - Don, Melissa, Susan, etc. and they're all wonderful. I do usually ask for an extra layer of the NexGen since I'm tough on my nails, and they've accommodated me without issue. They specialize in designs and charms, but I'm too boring to try them...an accent nail is really as far as I go. I've also never had other services done, but I know they do lashes, pedis, manis, gel, and acrylic - including ombré and glow. They have steady business, so I highly recommend calling early or a day (or two during winter/equestrian season) in advance for an appointment!

They require a $25 deposit to make an appointment (which I have never heard of), but we were grateful to find same day appointments. Cleanliness: I didn't see anything come of of a sterilizing machine, soak, or freshly opened package. The arm rest I had to use to rest my arms didn't look clean and he didn't even put a paper towel over it like the other nail techs. Lots of disappointing surprises: Unless you ask for a "polish change", I have never been to a nail salon that didn't remove cuticles, shape nails and get them ready to be done. They also include lotion and a hand massage. Most salons in the CT also include neck massages while nails are drying, but I do know that is not everywhere. At this salon, unless you ask them to "add a manicure" to your dip or gel nails, this normal part of nail services is NOT included. They wanted to charge my an extra $20 for lotion and cuticle care on top of the $45 for the Next Gen Dip service. Unreal. Also they only shape your nail with a file *after* polishing it. They readily & proudly admit that they don't want to do it twice, so only file and shape nails after painting them. The problem with this is that the very tips of your nails are without polish! To be fair our nails (except for the white, polish free tips) did come out nice. That said, my sister and I agree we have never felt so rushed and un-relaxed leaving a nail salon. We would not go back, and suggest you go elsewhere.

Customer service or loyalty? Where?…read more As a person that has spent a career analyzing businesses, I have been excruciatingly patient of the flaws of this place for a while. I returned because it's location is convenient but my money and time are better spent elsewhere. I'm sure yours is too! Nail's aren't cheap! Save your tip money they don't care if you tip generously-you'll still have no loyalty from them. From broken nails to wayyy to over laid acrylic, not being listened to, I'm embarrassed that I kept going. I have been coming to this salon for over a year. While the quality of work is OK, the business itself is run on the fly, poorly and disorganized. When you say something or even moderately call something to their attention they begin speaking Vietnamese (very obviously and uncomfortably speaking about you), or worse Marcus their English speaking employee bad mouths the customer to whomever is in front of him. I've seen so many poor attitudes in this salon. I wish I did not feel compelled to have to write a negative review but I think loyalty as a customer is not rewarded. They won't remember if they've had you waiting 15 minutes or an hour and you will never feel prioritized. In the end I can just go to Venetian or any other quality salon. My best relevant advice don't be like me and tip +20% they will NEVER remember it or care. Not returning.

Once we got on the same page, they shaped her nails and added a design, which turned out really cute. The staff -- especially the women working with my daughter -- were very patient and gentle with her. Even when she accidentally messed up a nail, they fixed it with no problem, which I appreciated. The salon itself is clean and in a nice area, and both of our nails came out looking good. My daughter was happy, which is what mattered most. The experience felt a little unclear at times, and drying options seemed limited, but overall it was a pleasant visit.
