LONG REVIEW, BUT WORTH READING:
If you've been considering getting microblading done....DON'T WAIT ANY LONGER! Delaney is a freakin life saver! And so so sweet! She really makes you feel comfortable, answers any questions you have to make you feel at ease, and fully explains each step of the process so that you know what to expect.
Ok so I'll be the first to say I am not one for beauty treatments normally. I have limited knowledge of, and hardly wear makeup on any given day during the week, so I was pretty hesitant about microblading for a long time. My eyebrows unfortunately got destroyed by my mother during the epic pencil-thin 90's brow craze (eye-roll), and never really grew back in. The spots that had grown back in were completely un-even on my left and right brows. I'd spend a good chunk of each morning filling them in and trying to make them even--so frustrating and time consuming.
So I did some research, read countless reviews, watched YouTube videos, stared at numerous before and after photos, but when I came across Brow Lane I was shocked at how many clients were totally raving about Delaney's services. And my gosh, they were not lying!
The appointment started with a consult of my natural brow shape, skin tone and hair color, and what I did and did not want (lol). We tested a few colors out on my skin and picked out the one she felt matched best. She measured and drew with a colored makeup pencil the best shape brows for my face and had me look in the mirror to make sure I was ok with what she had drawn. I told Delaney that I was looking to get a more natural-look and was oddly specific saying "I wanted skin to still show through". She understood what I was going for and told me we would do "all strokes", meaning we would do the classic microblading process, having my brows shaped out by hand-drawn individual "strokes" to give me my desired fuller brows. We put on some numbing cream, waited for it to kick in, and then she went to work...or should I say MAGIC. The process wasn't painful, but felt like a slight scraping feeling. Delaney goes over each brow, applies the chosen pigment, and then applies more numbing cream (which really makes a difference the second time around), then meticulously goes over them again to make sure all is even. She really takes her time to make sure the end result will come out perfect and I really appreciated that! She then cleaned up the excess color off my forehead and discussed aftercare instructions with me, making sure I understood what to expect during healing and how to care for my new brows. We made a follow up appointment for 8-weeks. I got a nice little aftercare package with wash and healing moisturizer and went on my merry little way.
Healing went as expected, I actually didn't scab/flake as I had read is common, and my brows held on to the color pigment really well! I think this was because of following the aftercare instructions to a T and being very careful about sun exposure. Some areas got lighter than others, but that was also expected and I knew would be perfected at my follow-up.
At the 8-week follow up we decided we'd do a powder-combo on the tail end of my brows, as I really didn't want to have to fill in any areas. The process was exactly the same aside from the tool used for the powder-combo (this tool actually didn't hurt at all!).
I'm now almost 2 weeks past my follow up and OH MY GOSH I couldn't be happier! I NEVER have to touch my brows, and I legitimately mean never. They always look perfect, and the strokes look SO natural its amazing! I save about 20 minutes in the morning now and never have to fill or shape out the brows I want.
THANK YOU DELANEY!
