The French Onion Soup was good. Lots of texture and had an elevated taste with the Foie Gras. I didn't have as much onion in mine but not sure if that's normal traditionally in France/Paris. The Duck Confit was great. Flavorful with some slices of seared potatoes. Other than that, not a whole lot of food for those that come in hungry. Suggest an appetizer or a couple glasses of your favorite drink. I would get the Duck Confit again FWIW, but if I came back next time I'm in Paris, I'd like to try another dish.

I was…read morelooking for a spot near our hotel that had beef tartare and that was not a tourist trap and I found La Comète, which looked pretty legit. Unfortunately, it was too early for the tartare as they only serve that during lunch/dinner hours. So we ordered an onion soup, a dozen snails, and a cheese plate. The onion soup was really good. The cheese was nice and melty and slightly charred in some spots. I shared this with my husband but I probably could have eaten two of these on my own. The snails were great as well. But I feel like 12 is a little too much for two people, but 6 wouldn't be enough. For the cheese plate, I don't remember what was on it but I remember not liking the harder cheeses and really liking the gorgonzola. I wish we found out about this place sooner so we could have tried a proper meal. If anyone gets a chance to try the beef tartare, let me know!

Since arriving in Paris, I have been on a search for amazing muscles and fries in this place,…read morewithout a doubt, is it! Being in Montmartre, you are pretty much guaranteed to eat well. So I ventured out on my 20 minute walk to the spot I was warmly greeted and ushered to a table inside. Once I sat down and made myself comfortable, I produced the menu and ordered a glass of rosé a carafe of water, and of course, the muscles and fries. The muscles were cooked in an extremely delicious Normandy cream broth that was deliciously decadent and of course the fries were hand, cut and cooked to perfection. What I also love, is that just about every meal is served with baguette and of course I've used a baguette to dip in the delicious creamy broth - SO SO SO SO Good! After stuffing myself full of muscles and fries, I couldn't eat another bite, but of course I did order another glass of wine. If you were looking for a top tier, muscles and fries, this is a place. You should definitely check out. Beyond that, I saw so many other amazing dishes coming from the kitchen, and I could only imagine what else they have to offer on their delicious menu. Bon appétit.

I have been going to Schum almost once a week for the last 6 months, and usually for lunch. They always have selection of three a plats du jour. No matter what I've ordered, it was always good. Fish. Steak. Duck. All good and all nice portions. You will not walk out hungry. My favorite is that with the plat du jour, you can order a café (thé) gourmand (café or tea plus 3 mini desserts - usually come with a financier, a type of mousse, and a créme brulée). The cost for the main dish and dessert is 17€. Can't beat it. The main server/bartender is very nice and his helper/server is also cordial. I recommend that you come when they first start serving lunch, so you beat the crowd. Once the crowd is there, the service slows down quite a bit. So if you don't come early, be prepared to be there to stay at least 1,5 hours for lunch.

The escargo was perfect, no sand or acidity. The muscle was same, fresh filled with buttery sauce. They offered extra bread to soak up the liquid of heaven. My extra picky eater toddlers approved of their "chicken" which in reality is the duck confit. It came with a crispy layer on the outside and moist, tender, falling off the bone inside. Kid approved!
