I love my chômage chaud and wished it was bigger. I wasn't in love with Piña Colada, but I did enjoy the piazza while it was hot and fresh. I though the peppers were a bit mushy for my liking and would have been better if they were green but red seems popular here. The fries were amazing and the mayo/Dijon mustard sauce was addicting. Overall would definitely recommend if your in Versailles, there are nice options and even though the service is a little iffy the food come quick enough and is delicious, which matters the most.

A home from home for the expat Brits in les environs. Gilles as good as a landlord as you could imagine (single incurable drawback being Southampton fan - let's put that down to poor genes..). Staff invariably great. Good real ale on tap. Curry house next door....all in the heart of the beautiful town of Saint-Germain-en-Laye.

(There's no Guinness though which is a little disappointing ) Though on the other hand if I had to rate the food I would give it a 3star rating- while the pubs in London have mostly all become Gastro pubs, this pub has stayed very basic and is far from the french cuisine of the cafes around it. It still stays the best place for drinks in town!

First we had the Fuet Catalan - a thin dried flavored Black Truffle sausage. The truffle oil oozed out of every bite. It was a truffle lovers dream come true!! We also order Les pintxos- a typically Basque with Fresh Ingredients piled up on toasted bread The Chèvre Miel was a creamy Goat cheese, drizzle of honey and sun dried tomatoes. Yup We also had the Chorizo & grilled Blue cheese It seriously was the best blue cheese I have ever had. For Tapas Rillettes de thon- Homemade tuna spread with olives & marinated anchovies. The anchovies seriously juscheemelted in your mouth. On the Plates & boards side of the menu we ordered... Cecina Et brebis truffle which is Salted cure beef from Leon, Spain and Black truffle sheep cheese & pine nuts Garlic bread and Serrano ham- Homemade garlic butter and 24 month cured Serrano ham.
