L'occitane en Provence is located at the Irvine Spectrum. Difficult to find, sandwiched between 2 stores, you do have to look hard. The store is standard small. Layout is the same. The reason why I gave it a 4 star is because I saw online that they had a certain item. I think the very nice lady who tried to help me was new as she said it was no longer available. Another staff member overheard and showed me what I was looking for. She really redeemed the whole shipping trip and hence the 4 stars. She was excellent! read more

2nd time at this location and Jessica was on the phone texting, but when we entered my wife and toddler she stood up and watched while we looked for our items. Not friendly or engaging, and not sure why rude but we bought our stuff, had to tell her to look up my account for points and spent only $150. No samples were offered or given. 2nd time one week later went back for different items and not happy seeing her again. She was texting on her cell but again jumped up to her feet and observed. we got our items and she gave us two samples only after i requested. Asked for one of the samples of white cream and immediately said no i cant, sorry- in a very rude demeanor. No customer engagement, no offering any info on products, and she said she worked there three years. Well since my Grandmother is from this region of France, I was very appauled even more representing this brand. Ever visit this part of France and you will learn hospitality. I will never shop this store. Wife was even shocked as to why she is rude. We normally go to Fashion Island where the manager is super sweet been working there for years and everyone at that store is very nice, and you wont have to request samples either. read more

I've been here twice in the last 3 days, and the employees were amazing both times. They greet you and ask if you need help, and don't pester you if you say no, but they're easily accessible the moment you need them. The store is very small, but fairly well stocked. I easily found everything I was looking for. I love how they spritz the tissue paper when filling your bag. It smells delightful! I highly, HIGHLY recommend this store. Two thumbs up! UPDATE: The fragrance they sprayed on the tissue paper was sooooo amazing that I went back today to buy it. The lady was so sweet, patient, and helpful helping me find the exact scent that was used. Irvine, CA I've been using these products for years but they discontinued my favorite face lotion in 2010 and I slowly started purchasing less and less from this company until I recently found out they brought back the lotion I used for so many years. This location moved from where it used to be ions ago. The store is located just past Norstrom and the Black and White Store in the Irvine Spectrum but I had quite the time finding this store today without these pointers. Once I did eventually find it, I was warmly greeted. There was a three person in the store at one time limit. I saw one other couple shopping and even though the gal at the counter waived me in I waited until they exited and then I had the store all to myself. I received great customer service. It has been a few years since I stepped into a Loccitane store, and it felt so good and familiar to be back in one of their company stores with all of the wonderful scents of the lotions and soaps. Most of the stores have a sink and it is usually a tradition for me to wash my hands with their luxurious liquid hand soap while in the store. This was my last shop to visit before heading home, and I washed my hands for traditions sake and walked away from Irvine Spectrum with squeeky clean, luxurious feeling and great smelling hands! read more

I had a super weird experience here yesterday. I'm not sure if it should be 5 stars for making my return quick and painless or 1 star for being super rude and shooing me away (hand motions and all). I had purchased their aqua ultra hydration face lotion but meant to purchase the gel. I figured i'd keep it anyway because it seemed like a great face moisturizer and I was looking for a new one to apply after my shower and under my makeup. However, paired with my makeup and super oily skin, it was not a match at all - way too thick! I felt like my skin couldn't breathe which is not good in the AZ summer heat! SO, I went back a day later and returned it for the gel. Or I should say, "attempted" to return it. I barely even got my words out explaining the situation to the sales lady and she immediately handed me the gel, snatched the lotion out of my hand (didn't ask for a receipt or anything) and said "get out, go!" with a waving hand motion. Ummmmm, I wasn't sure what to make of this? I definitely took it more along the lines of rudeness and that maybe she was offended that I didn't love the lotion. But on the other hand, she could have just been trying to make the swap super easy for me? Regardless, I felt rushed out and when I tried to ask a question about their products for oily skin, I still got the cold shoulder and a vague answer. She could have made a bigger sale if she would have stopped to listen and chat with me! This did not make me feel great, at all! Regardless, it was weird. Love L'occitane. I learned about L'OCCITANE about 10 years ago while walking around being bored in New Orleans, I walked in one of their stores to try out their tester. I really didn't need anything, just was bored. To my surprise, I fell in love with their cherry blossom hand lotions Since then I kept trying different products and soon all my skincare products became from L'Occitane. They have shops all over the world and when I see a store, I stop by to try out something different, but don't buy anything from a store as I can't carry liquids while traveling. I buy most everything online and always pleased with level of customer service I receive from online purchase. However on this particular day, I noticed my favorite perfume was out of stock online but they have some in stock at this location, so I came in.. A staff works here was very friendly, she was with another customer when I walked in but she said she would be right with me. I spotted my usual perfume and picked one up to take it to her. She saw what I picked up and commented how much she loves that Jasmine scent. I don't go into the details of product review here as I left some products review online on their website, but I get a lot of compliments whenever I use this Jasmine. Horrible customer service. I went in recently to return a Christmas gift I received only to have the salesperson tell me I have to do an equal exchange. My skin is very sensitive to secreted products and know what works for me and what doesn't. However, after asking several times if that's my only option I was told yes so I left with products I thought I'd try out. However, after going to another mall and walking into the L'Occitane store and inquired about my situation, they told me that they should have offered me a return as well. This salesperson was nice enough to call Irvine Spectrum's locution and notified the manager of my situation. The manager said that they would be in the store until 6 pm that day and the next day (1/9/23). I got off work yesterday (1/9/23) at 5 pm and quickly called the store as I was on my way to deal with the situation only to find out the manager left early. Again, horrible customer service and complete liars. No matter how great their products may be, they should never lie or pressure customers into buying things they don't want or can't use. read more

I have few favorite smells that I must wear and one of them is L'Occitane's Green Tea spray-- it is magical. Other items are that are to die for: Shea Butter Hand Cream Cherry Blossom Lotion Immortelle under eye cream Marseille Soaps These items can only be purchased in a L'Occitane. Shopping inside is like being taken away into a whole little vacation world. If you have never been inside a L'Occitane, let me recommend that you must stop by at least once-- you'll be running back for more. It sure helps that the shops employees are always so nice and friendly and want to give you samples of stuff. I soo enjoy their travel sized hand lotions, they smell lovely. And I am currently having a great time with the Almond lotion, that was recommended by the a gentleman whom works there. Great little store at the Biltmore... I was really bothered by the fact that the sales girl claimed their skin care products to be "Medical Grade". They're NOT. These products are NOT the same grade you can get from a physicians office. There is no medical license, no medical director... If you want to buy the pretty stuff, it's nice stuff, but I find it highly irresponsible to claim to be a higher grade than what it is.
