Being a huge fan of teas and sweet treats, the cafe was a great motivation to get me to do a 2hr hike. Seeing the perfect picturesque building with its snow-capped roof from afar, it truly was like the light at the end of the tunnel! It was such a treat to walk into the inviting dimly-lit rustic barn-style tea room which was buzzing with people. Inside there is plenty of seating; my favourite being the cozy and peaceful large fireplace area. There are plenty of drinks and treats to choose from, from a variety of loose leaf teas to coffees and gourmet hot chocolate (which seemed the most popular). The barista was super friendly and let me whiff a few of the chai teas - they definitely have a great selection. I had a spicy chai which hit the spot and warmed me up after hiking in the cold. All their pastries come from Pains & Saveurs (which is THE best on the South Shore) and they even have a tempting selection of biscotti and macarons. If you want to avoid the long walk from the main entrance, the tea house can be accessed via the back entrance to the park. Highly recommend if you are in the area!
