If I'm not mistaken, this long-established eatery has been around since the late 1990's when I used…read moreto work in Vancouver. So glad it's still around and doing so well. First, the location can't be beat. From inside the restaurant on the second floor, the windows are floor-to-ceiling so we got a great view of the marina, Vancouverand the Burrard Street Bridge. Antonia, our lovely server, got us our drinks. It was challenging deciding what to eat because everything looked so good. My niece opted for the Falafel Burger, which she gobbled down in record time (which is rare for her). I wanted Falafel, too, so I opted for the Falafel Bowl which was chock full of goodness and so delicious. We gave Antonia a good tip to show our appreciation of her and the great food!!

I had to settle for something else. I ordered the steak frites which came with fries, of course, and a tasty lemony arugula salad. The steak was OK, a bit grisly and over salted, but cooked perfectly. My friend had the bang bang shrimp and enjoyed it. Service was good, except they forgot to bring silverware. We stole it from a table beside us... A great place for touristy stuff if you happen to be downtown. Parking isn't too expensive if you can find a spot. I was on a motorcycle so was able to squeeze in between two larger vehicles taking up more than their fair share...

I loooove lobster rolls, so when I came across The Lobster Man, I definitely had to get one…read more The restaurant doesn't really have much seating. There is a little bar top inside that can stand and eat. It's a snug fit for about 4 people. Other than that there were two small tables outside, so you'll likely have to walk and eat or find another seat! Service was fast and friendly. I ordered the signature lobster roll and it did not disappoint. They provide you with a good amount of lobster, the bread was nicely toasted and fluffy, and a good side of kettle chips. Great for a quick and yummy stop!

Service was kinda blah, they said the words but weren't friendly like teens forced to do something (I don't think they were teens btw). I ordered the warm lobster roll and a prawn cocktail. Unfortunately, the lobster roll was a letdown. It wasn't very warm, the lobster itself didn't have much flavor, tasted off and the whole sandwich was just kind of dry. Thank goodness I also ordered the prawn cocktail because it saved the meal. It wasn't anything fancy, but the prawns were a good size and gave me something I actually halfway enjoyed. Overall, I didn't have the experience I was looking forward to.

I was on a Vancouver city tour, and Granville Island Market was one of the stops on the itinerary…read more As a foodie, I had already planned to get fish and chips for lunch. Unfortunately, once I got to the market, I couldn't find the restaurant I was looking for. That's when Market Grill caught my eye. I noticed they had a salmon burger, and since I'd never had one before, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Pacific Gold Salmon Burger, and it turned out to be the best thing I ate during my vacation in Vancouver. The salmon was moist, tender, flavorful, and a generous size. The bun was soft, and the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. I especially liked the seasoning, and the honey mustard added a delicious flavor to the burger. It was served with a generous portion of thick-cut fries that were well seasoned and just as tasty as the burger. The meal cost $24.50 Canadian dollars, which worked out to about $16 USD. I thought it was a great value. If you like salmon and can only choose one thing to eat while visiting Granville Island Market, I highly recommend trying this burger.
