A woman seated there indicated that it would not be a problem. However, when I stepped away briefly to retrieve a tool, I was approached by a lab aide and instructed to move, as the table was apparently reserved for RAs. There was no visible signage or indication that the table was designated for that purpose. Additionally, to my understanding, RAs have access to a separate workspace, but they'll use of shared student space--especially during a busy open lab-- is somewhat confusing. Then another RA was complaining how students should know better, which is odd since the other RA said I could sit with her. Overall, the situation felt unclear, unwelcoming and rude.

Nathalie and Urii gave a us brief history of glass mosaics and were so helpful while we created our pieces. They are experts with over 25 years of education, teaching, and passing it on to everyone. They really enjoy what they do as they are patient, provide encouragement and help you even if you're not art inclined! They had a vast array of glass tiles in every color under the rainbow imaginable! It was so much fun and gave us all a whole new appreciation of mosaic artisanry! I've been to a number of paint n sip events and I know that it can be a bit chaotic depending on…read morethe number of participants. This particular event at Emilio's on September 30th was poorly organized. We were quite surprised when the craft supplies we received were different from that which were ordered. The event coordinator said that she emailed me twice, but could not produce proof of said emails and my job requires me to be at my computer much of the day and I know I never received them. Also, stated on the event description was the opportunity to buy a bow to hang the project, and there were no bows available for sale, as the event coordinator stated that the bow lady won't come out this far. Despite these hiccups, my friend and I enjoyed our time painting and hanging out together. If this business hopes to succeed which I hope they do, they need to tighten up their procedures a bit.
