This place is so much fun and affordable! We went on Lebanese night and had a blast painting ceramics. Take all your creative friends there for a great night out!

Bad experience, grumpy worker, bad attitudes. I don't usually write reviews because it's never worth it, but this place was very frustrating. I decided to take the kids I babysit to pottery bayou because I used to love it as a kid as well. I brought my girlfriend with me too as it was going to be a fun painting activity. To start I walk in there with the kids and the only worker inside immediately has a bad attitude by not welcoming us and just asking us what we want basically. I then had to ask her how the whole process worked. She signed us up and started the 2 hour clock they put on customers. This was before we even picked out pieces or paint!!! $8 per painter (only 5 colors each) and you have to pay for the piece separately. Only a few large and worn out brushes on the table and we were given one piece of paper towel to wipe brushes. Next, I put my stuff and the kids stuff down on a table in the corner. While I was looking for my piece, I was told that we were not allowed to sit there because we had 4 people and that was a 5 person table. So the worker moved us DIRECTLY next to the only other people in the building, a couple who was visibly uncomfortable with us being so close and hearing conversation when the entire building was empty and we could've sat anywhere else to give them space. We are paying for the activity we should be able to choose where we sit in an empty building. After we all picked our pieces and paint we waited for the worker to grab our paint, which was delayed because the worker was asking the kids what color they chose (numbers they make you write on the plates). The kids couldn't remember what colors corresponded to the numbers and they shouldn't have to!! The worker should have known the palette. My kids were visibly upset because the worker was being annoying about her handwriting!! When my girlfriend and I could clearly read it. Now we are 40 mins in and have not even received paints. That's when my girlfriend and I decided we weren't going to paint anymore because of how annoyed we were. So I put my piece back on the shelf but because my girlfriend wrote her name on the bottom of the piece she chose (as seen in the picture below) we were told we HAD to pay because it was "permanent pencil". I was not going to argue more with this worker so I just payed the $23 for the unpainted piece..... you can literally see there is NO WRITING on the bottom. She just wanted to take our money. Also notice how they accidentally got a smear of yellow paint on the piece too! Annoyed. So many better pottery places around. Don't go here. You won't have an enjoyable time.

I am no artist but I can tell you that this activity is so much fun. Almost meditative. Perfect date spot. And the staff are so friendly and sweet. Will definitely be back.

I had a great time here! Their margarita glass-shaped piece caught my eye. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, making the whole experience a delight.

I use to manage this studio for three years. Through out my time there I endured some strange…read morebehaviors from not just the owner Kelly but also her husband. The mall this establishment is in celebrates Pride Month as does all of the other stores. So naturally I put up decorations along with the rest of the mall. This angered Kelly and she started tearing down my rainbows. She said she wanted to remain "neutral". That was the first red flag as I, her manager, is queer and she knew this. The 2nd red flag was when her husband picked me up from this location (as I am disabled and can't drive) to take me to their Plano location. When I hopped into the car a song was playing, her husband quickly turned off the song and went looking through his phone for another. He then puts on The Lords of Acid - Pussy Song. We were alone in the car The owner Kelly and her husband are anti LGBTQ and anti immigrant. I ran their studio for three years before their beliefs reared their ugly heads. I, myself am a queer Latino. The mall celebrates Pride Month, Kelly didn't like this so she tore down all of the decorations I put up. She loved the indigenous pottery workshops I would do, they made HER LOTS OF MONEY. I ultimately QUIT because he husband was watching me on the cameras and had an issue with my sick child being at the studio when I had no other option. This man wasn't my boss. He had to pick me up one day for a convention, when I got in the car a song was playing . HE TURNED OFF THE SONG LOOKED GOR A NEW ONE AND PUT ON :LORDS OF ACID- THE PUSSY SONG. I'm queer, married and someone MOTHER. DO NOT WORK HERE IT IS NOT SAFE. We were in the car for at least 20 minutes... The final nail in the coffin was when her husband called me at work because he was watching me that morning bending down sorting the orders. My son, who was 11 at the time had his head down on the table. We had been up all night as my child developed hives and we had just gotten in from the doctor. I could not have prepared for this so I took him and his medicines to work with me. Well her husband didn't like that because it "looks bad". Mind you, this is the same kid that would volunteer on the weekends to help me clean the studio after parties for extra allowance. Kelly encouraged this. This man and father told me to find other accommodations. So I did, I easily found another job. If you go here you support an owner who not only makes excuses for her perverted husband but someone who hates kindness and equality. The people who stand by this women all look exactly like HER. Sound familiar?

Walked in two days later at 6:32pm and they said the last time they take people for painting is 6:30pm. It was our anniversary and they couldn't even accommodate us for those 2 minutes. I wish they had mentioned this rule when I called them because when we walked in they ruined our plans. Terrible customer service!!

The owner, Robin, and one of the other employees were fantastic at leading a group of 21 first grade girls through painting a mermaid tail (there were so many choices for the canvas painting - my daughter happened to choose this one). They can do them more or less complex based on the age group of the party. Robin was truly fantastic to work with. She took care of everything, including ordering pizzas from elsewhere in the mall. I brought the paper goods and cupcakes and everything else was handled. We were in a party room in the back that is utilitarian but also decorated. I definitely appreciated that there were separate tables for the art and the eating! I was perfectly happy to not be out in the front of the store with the general public. And the price was totally reasonable given everything that they did for us. Would definitely host another party here! We've also come on a random day just to do a walk in ceramic painting, which was also great. Lots of selections at all sorts of different price points. You can also do walk in canvas painting.

We eventually ended up forgoing this year because she's still so young she wouldn't fully appreciate the experience, but plan on going for some Mommy and me time. The staff that I was in touch with while planning the event were all so helpful, responsive, and friendly. Even when we decided to pass on holding the party there, after we had filled out the form and not yet put in the deposit, they were so understanding. They get high ratings, they're located conveniently in a mall where if you have youngers you can go to the playgrounds in the mall, and if you have olders, they can walk around and do a little independent shopping. Looking forward to visiting soon!
