There is a $20 fee for simply painting in the space on top of the items you paint/purchase. I suppose this is normal in some places, but I was not accustomed to this. 2. You can only choose five colors, people from the studio have to pour it for you, and you have to wait for them to come around to each table to get more paint. Certain paint colors cost more than others. I understand that the staff members pouring for you is a way to prevent wasted paint, but it was very awkward and inconvenient. There were only two staff members for a crowded room. 3. The space is small and the tables are quite close together. We came on a very busy day, so I would suggest calling ahead to see if there are multiple open tables. It isn't necessarily a relaxing environment for painting. We were able to paint and have a fun time together. That being said, I think the lack of space in the studio, the paint rules, and lack of staffing led to a "just okay" experience. I wouldn't necessarily want to go back.

Parties are *only* held on Fridays from 6:30-8:30 so don't waste time when deciding to book. Dates can fill up fast. For $275, Naper residents get a 2-hr party for 12 party goers. This includes all paint, clay, and glazes. This fee also includes all paper and plastic birthday products as well as a Birthday Cookie Cake or Cupcakes provided by Naper's much loved DeEtta's Bakery. The little masterpieces are available for pickup two weeks after your party and party hosts are in charge of getting them to the invited artists. When we got there, we were met by our class instructor, My. I don't believe that you can pick the instructor that you have, but I would suggest if you had the opportunity to have her as your instructor, I would highly recommend her. She was so nice and kind. It was easy to follow her simple instructions, even though I had never made pottery before. She made me feel very welcomed and she was extremely encouraging as well throughout the whole process. I had such an enjoyable time and of course the pottery making itself was just a blast, but she really added to the experience, to be honest with you. They give you an apron and all the tools and clay and water that you need to create your pottery with, so you don't have to really bring anything except yourself and a great attitude. It was easy to go back and pick up the pottery, although my girlfriend did this for us. She's a sweetheart. My girlfriend and I have not stopped talking about this experience, nor our instructor My and how we're looking forward to going again in the future. If you're looking for a date idea, guys, this is a 10 out of 10 experience!!! You get to keep one of your creations, and then I think each additional one is $10 after that? You then get to choose from, I think it was eight different glazes? I think it took about 2-3 weeks to get the pottery back, but I wasn't really keeping track of that. Studio 60 was absolutely terrific. The studio is bright and airy and it is in a cute little house. My daughter got to pick one painting to do and it was very difficult for her to pick one because they have a variety of paintings to choose from. The party was scheduled from 12:30 to 2:30. I provided food and cake and the studio provided me with juice boxes, water, paper plates and napkins. The kids had a blast, they all got to take their master piece home and my daughter got to take a canvas with all of her guests hand prints on it. The birthday party was a success, it was very different from the other parties we have had, it was laid back and relaxing. They played kids bop music in the background while the artists painted, at one point the girls made it into a dance party. I am extremely happy with the service that was provided to me and my daughter. They provide classes throughout the month, they have a calendar online and they offer adult classes too.
