While enroute to Iowa she stopped at the Decalb Oasis for fuel. Uppon leaving the fuel pump the car started bringing and would not shift into park and the car was inoperable. She called in a panic and told us what was hapening. Our daughter doesn't deal with these situations awesomely and threw up. I told here to engage parking brake and turn on the hazards. I would be on my way and will be there in less than 30 mins. As I got there I see she is stopped in the middle of the driveway parking lot and causing a backup at the oasis. I approach the car and ask her to turn off the ignition. "DAD I CAN'T" is her response. I show her how the shift lock over ride is used and get the vehicle into neutral. We push the vehicle into a parking spot and remove her personal items, leave the vehicle unlocked and head back to Naperville. While driving back to Naperville I call Dupage Transmission and speak with Scott. I explain the situation and he gives a suggestion of a flat bed tow company. "Get it towed and we will get it fixed today" Wow a shop willing to stop their other projects to get me back on the road asap! The vehicle waswas back on the road same day and my daughter was able to not cancel her weekend. A true mom & pop establishment that only cares about their customers. This was such a pleasurable experience that I had them complete a few other maintenance items I've been putting off. The vehicle is ready for another 90k. My vehicle broke down on the highway, and this shop was the first to pop up in the yelp review while determining where I could possibly get it towed to. It was the best option for the distance, so I pulled the trigger and had the tow arranged for here. The car gets dropped here, and they immediately get to figuring out what the issue could be. They called me back within an hour or so with the diagnosis, and gave me the horrendous news that my engine had locked up. They explained that it was a faulty engine design by Hyundai, and provided me assurance that the failure was not by my own negligence (oil changes were on time, car has 72K, etc). I went to Hyundai right after to get to the bottom of this madness, and Hyundai agreed to 'resolve the issue', but only after I expressed that I took the vehicle to this spot, and Team Auto Care concluded that it was 'faulty engine design'. Hyundai would send for the tow truck here to retrieve my vehicle so that they could repair the engine issue. Although no labor was performed on my vehicle, the analysis and honest estimate of the work was prompt and highly professional. The vehicle is still under warranty, so they were prepared to go through the process of getting the claim filed for the work, and really showed a desire to help out in a dire situation. Nothing is more valuable than a quality mechanic that can give the customer a peace of mind, while being excellent and prompt about their work. If you're out in the west burbs, or need to get your vehicle to a quality place for some reliable work, I would definitely recommend this spot! Your car will thank you!

I…read morebrought in my 2015 Ford Mustang on Thursday for a rattling noise coming from the rear passenger side. By Friday afternoon, they called to say my car was ready for pickup. Another shop had quoted me a much higher price and only offered to replace the shocks. But Village Automotive went above and beyond -- they replaced right rear shocks and mounts, repaired a leaking exhaust flex sections, replaced serp belt, changed the brake fluid, replaced the windshield wipers, and even steam clean the engine -- all for the same price!
