IF I COULD GIVE ZERO I WOULD ! THIS IS MY SECOND CAR FROM THEM AND THIS TIME AROUND IM BEING RIPPED OFF ! I SHOOK THE OWNER STEVES HAND AND THE CAR SALESMAN WAS ALSO THERE AND HAS EVEN SAID HE REMEMBERS IT AS WELL ! I went into the office to sign my papers and put down my $11,000 DOWN PAYMENT, (which I could've taken ANYWHERE!) and the OWNER told ANGIE in the office that he was giving me my car for CASH PRICE which is 16,500 and she messed it up by keeping the original price of 18,990!!!!!! When signing the papers I said "it says 18990 still is it on a different paper that he is giving me the deal on the car for 16500?) ANGIE CONTINUED TO SAY "yes I put the 16500 on there what your seeing is the total which is higher bc tax tag and title) ! SHE LIED STRAIGHT TO MY FACE , I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN EARLY MARCH OF 2024 and I have brought it up a couple times and ANGIE SAID " she should have caught it earlier.) UM EXCUSE ME ! Then I went up there in person to speak to the owner Steve and was told that he was at the gas station and wasn't available. I had my two little children ready to get out of the car while waiting so I finally left and I called up there to see if he was back soon after leaving and spoke to ANGIE and she said he still wasn't there and said she could help me, but I told her that I needed specifically STEVE then she gave the phone over to the owner's wife PAM (the RUDEST woman I have EVER had to speak to in my LIFE!) as soon as she got on the phone, she went on to say that she heard that I was already rude, and that she won't be talked to like that when I used all my correct mannerisms and never even said anything out of the way and then I sat there and told her that I needed to try to schedule an appointment with STEVE and she went on to say that they don't schedule that I would have to come in person so I inform her that I was there in person the same day and was told he wasn't there so I was calling to see a time that would be good for me to come in to speak to him directly, and then she went contradict her first comment and say that he is never there so I said how do I go about getting a hold of him then she told me she wrote down my name and phone number and put it on his desk after yelling at me on the phone and being disrespectful for the whole call and I still to this day have not received a call and it's been a week ! MORAL OF THE STORY THESE PEOPLE ARENT AS HOLY AS THEY SAY AND I CAN SEE WHY THEY ARE CLOSING BECAUSE IM BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF AND LOSING OVER 2,000$!!!!!! BLUF: Do not buy from this dealership. They sell you cars that will break down soon on purpose so that you will take it back to them and pay their mechanics to fix the broken car they sold you. My wife and I bought a vehicle from L&B Motors for $12,500 in cash. I am a USMC Officer and was scheduled to move across the country 2.5 months after purchasing the vehicle so we opted not to get the overpriced warranty that they offered us (there is no L&B in VA) BUT we were assured by the salesman that the company would "operate in good faith" and would "fix the car for free if it just quit on you within a reasonable amount of time". Well within 2 weeks of us buying the car 2 of the windows stopped working. We took it to the dealership and the replaced them and told us they would check the others as well. 3 weeks after that another window stopped working proving they did not check like they said they would. 4 weeks after that the vehicle literally cut off in the middle of the road. I instantly thought back to the salesman and I wasn't worried because I had been told multiple times that they would operate in good faith in these situations. I was wrong. When I brought it in they instantly began telling me that they would let me know the cost to repair it. I was taken aback because we had only had the car for 2 months and only put 3k miles on it. I assumed this was within the reasonable timeframe. After some back and forth with the employees the original salesman told me that since we had purchased the vehicle only 2 months prior that they would take care of it. He said don't even worry about it. Ofcourse I should have because days later I was called and hit with a $350 bill. I am now sure that this is all part of a scheme that they have going. They sell you a car for a pretty good price (and give you a Bible so that you think highly of them) knowing that it will break down weeks/months after. They will repeatedly tell you that their mechanic shop "doesn't work on outside vehicles and only services cars that were sold from L&B" and they say "we will fix your car for cheaper than any other mechanic" to make you comfortable with the purchase but ask yourself, how is it that the mechanic shop is ALWAYS booked and ALWAYS busy? It is because they sell broken cars on purpose. The mechanic business is another stream of revenue for them in this way. You buy a used car because you want a good deal so if they promise to fix it for cheaper than another mechanic of course you would take it to them to get fixed. This business does NOT "operate in good faith". Do not buy the BS they tell you. Look somewhere else trust me. If you are military please do not screw yourself over with these guys. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! they sold us a car and not two days later did it break down in the middle of a busy highway. When we reached out to ask about returning it they wouldn't give us the time of day. They were rude, liars, and tried using Christianity to make them look better. They will sell you a messed up car and when you try to hold them accountable they brush you off. I'm going to state nothing but facts the owner (the wife) is a fake godly woman. they base their financing you on judgment not your credit or your employment. tell me how u can do a credit application without asking for your income? she lied to me and lectured me about my child and I respectfully sat there and listen to her she was wrong telling me these things.. her name is Pam and she taught special ed for 19 years... she should teach people about credit also I should put my son in a defensive driving course because " she felt" like he needs to relearn how to drive then when she pulled my credit which I had told her already my credit wasn't good 2 repos one from divorce the other from my son then 10 student loans that were deferred and she felt some type of way because they were and I had not made any payments and loan companys I had not paid back I was very honest with my credit but not one time did she ask me about my income...i feel sorry for her husband and she would let me get a word in I just kept agreeing with her so she would shut up but every time I did that she would find another mothering tactic I did she didn't agree with but kept telling me she believes I'm a good mother who cares what u think she really think because they been in business 41 years that they can't go out of business because of how she treats Gods people .. but has all these bible verses throughout the office. she wasted my time she a big liar then told me to my face that I told her I wasnt approved from CarMax when I did in fact tell her I was but the girl told me my down payment was going to be 1000 more but she told me I told her I wasn't ... then it gets better after she told me they not gonna finance me she goes to talk to the lady in front office and she thought I had left she talked about me to a vender about my credit informaction saying she should teach a class on credit and then started whispering to the lady in front not knowing i was in the room the entire time..she is evil . I was very satisfied with L & B Motors! They're customer service is A+! Also, the quality of cars they have in stock are not junk! On their website, is a list of every car they have in stock including the Carfax, the history of the car, and an app that allows you to estimate your payments based on how much you finance on the vehicle. Very impressive! I was also impressed with the co-owner who stayed late during a storm that even closed Fort Gordon, just so I could purchase my new vehicle! I was extremely happy with the whole process of buying a car from the wonderful folks at L & B motors. The best part is that they don't add any of those frivolous dealer fees of up to $400 or sometimes more onto the price of the vehicle. The price they show is the actual price with the only thing added is tax, registration fees and title fees, nothing more. They let me take the vehicle to test drive it for the time I needed. I didn't feel pressure to hurry back or rushed before buying. I had my own financing so it was super fast all done within an hour. I noticed after the fact that the car was missing part of the muffler and even though I had purchased it as is, they were willing to work with me to get it fixed and took care of the whole thing. I have never had an experience this good before when buying a vehicle. I recommend them wholeheartedly and know I will buy my next car with them. They are the best. read more

bought a truck from them 3 months ago now the truck is unsafe to drive, the whole front end needs replaced. 2 separate mechanics have looked at it (Firestone and Gerald Jones) and said the front end is metal on metal and not to drive it the wheels will lock up anytime. They also said this was like this when it was sold and will cost 2 to 3 thousand to fix. called L&B and was told "buyer beware" from the lady that answered. Called the next day and spoke with the owner who had a nasty attitude, would not let me speak telling me its my truck now I own it and it was my fault for buying a used vehicle and they would do nothing to make this right. She had no empathy or feeling of remorse for ripping me off and was defensive from the start (guilty) . I know that they have mechanics look these vehicles over before they put them on the lot so they knew what they were selling me and sold it anyways. They are liars, greedy and dishonest. I was not asking to return the vehicle or even for them to fix the entire thing but to help me get my only transportation repaired and explain to them what they had sold me.
