LA Tan in Norridge is phenomenal, great place to tan. The place is very very clean, and the girls that work there are so helpful and knowledgeable. Especially Alyssa,Alexa & Lauren they go out of the way for customers. Sweet sweet girls!!! read more

Went in today and had the pleasure of meeting the manager and a young lady kasia. They were super kind and helpful! I have been going to this location for about 7 years and noticed a huge change in this location within the last couple of months. Super clean, everyone is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I hope this location continues to stay as clean and amazing as it is right now! Definitely recommend this location. read more

I love this location and the employees here ESPECIALLY PENELOPE. The girls are so great & friendly. Highly recommend this location for amazing beds and amazing customer service!! The manager is nice as well . me and my daughter love this place and now we are both sporting a killer tan!!! read more

Didn't feel welcomed and the girl, Lora or laura, whatever her name is was very unpleasant, cold and rude. Shall find another place to spend my money at! Thanks read more

Fine enough for a tanning salon. I used to go there with a pretty big discount because a former student works there. I wouldn't tan anymore, but I would recommend it. I thought it was clean and there was not a lot of waiting around. The beds were the right temperature and there were a lot of options. read more

Very clean place and helpfull stuff. Lady explained ewerything and save me money. It is near to my place soo I will build up my tan like a member. read more

I've signed up today there with Chris. It seemed like he cared and worked with me to the get me the best offer. He was very friendly and patient. I take one star away since usually there is a lamp that is not working. Maybe it's my luck... read more

Level three beds are awesome. I'm a tanning lover- don't buy any of their lotions. Amazon has for 1/3 of the price and stick to level three beds for a good tan! $5 Tuesday's are awesome. Maybe hiring a professional front desk staff should be their next idea for improving their salon. read more

I used to work at LA Tan at a different location and have been tanning at LA Tans for the last six years. As employees, each one of us were held to an extremely high standard of keeping the place extremely clean. Not only that, we offered both membership options and tanning dollar packages. This place is the only LA Tan I have ever been to that did not offer tanning dollars, only memberships. The whole reason why I switched back to this LA Tan (after spending too much money at Palm Beach) was because of the option to get tanning dollars! Not only that, this was the most disgusting LA Tan I've ever been to. The walls were sticky and the bed did not look up to code. Halfway into my tan, the stereo came on full blast and I was unable to turn it down or change the station. Will not be tanning here ever again. read more

Getting better each time I visit!! There is an entirely new staff!! The girls up front have been amazing! I'm always greeted with a smile upon entering. I ask what they recommend and they walk me through the different results each bed would give me. Have also been very helpful with product knowledge. Letting me know what product will help me achieve the color I'm looking for. So super sweet. The atmosphere is more pleasant with music and everything is organized and clean! Thanks for making the necessary changes to better our neighborhood tanning salon!! read more

I like this LA Tan location. The girls at the front desk are nice and helpful. I always recieve great, friendly service. The guys that work here are hot too. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because this location is rather small. Not to mention, lotion prices are higher than other salons. However, I love LA Tan because they have up to level 6 in the stand-up and up to level 5 in lay-down, which I'm sure you'll have a hard time finding somewhere else. read more

The customer service here SUCKS. It is the closest LA TAN to my house so I used to go here because it was convenient. Ever since the blonde girl with highlights (idk her name but she was there for a while) quit or was fired, things have gone waaay south. I was waiting to get into a bed for about 10 minutes when one opened up. This guy walked in who you could tell the manager? with black curly hair knew, and let him into the bed before me even though HE JUST WALKED IN. Instead, I got the crappy room with 8 non functioning bulbs and he got the brand new re bulbed bed. Talked to the owner once when one employee messed up my package and he was a total douche. Wouldn't make eye contact with me and cut me off everytime I tried to say something. Most of the time he sits on tge couch on his phone. I've been coming here for 2 years and spent alot of money at this location but today was my last time here. Update, owner has responded to my review with a VERY professional response! 1. I did not say the employee tanned. I stated that the employee with black curly hair (manager who is a woman) let him tan before me even though I waited for 10 minutes because she knew him. 2. I spoke to you about an error with my package and it took two weeks to get resolved. Once again, total douche lol Great customer service once again! Thanks:) read more

This place sucks. Crappy customer service and their beds suck, half the bulbs don't work. As the owner stated under the other review "google other tanning salons in your area." This place is just not worth your money read more

This store is super nice. I love going to this location, there is a HUGE parking lot! The beds are always clean and the staff is always happy and cheerful. I always ask questions and they answer everything i need to know or what I want to know. I like the fun music and I always get in there at just the right time before it gets busy. I think everyone to try it out and see what they think. I dont know why this store gets such bad reviews, :( .Theres always a new promotion or special. Tuesdays are a little crazy there so I dont recommend going on Tuesdays. The spray booth not the newest, but it gives GREAT results. There are many different levels of beds to choose from ranging from 1 to 6. Go see for yourself! read more

I dont like the way they do business. I bought sessions that are supposed to be up to 10 min in a level 3 bed. Now Im already dark from summer but I like to do maintenance. Well they told me that they just put in brand-new bulbs so the maximum time I could spend in there was 8 minutes. First of all I've gone to other locations INCLUDING THIS ONE on other days that they put a "new bulbs"and I've been able to attend the full 10 minutes. I paid for 10 minutes and there's no way to get my money back it's a session used so they're just taking back money that I spent and not only did I not get any color from that 10-minute supposably new bulb bed five of the bulbs were burnt out. Also the last time I came here on a Tuesday I was able to tan in a new bed for the full 10 minutes but they told me I had to pay $7 when it should have been only $5. If I chose a bed that had older bulbsit was for $5. It's called $5 Tuesdays for one reason you're a tanning spa that should be keeping up their bulbs and should not make a difference whether they're new or almost ready to be changed. It's just a ploy to get more people in and take money back that you've already given them or make more $$. It's a shame that they do that, this location has lost my business. I'll be sure to tell all my friends to do the same. read more

I went here because LA Tan usually has a good reputation for having good beds. I wanted to get a little color for my graduation. The 4 times I've gone I've had the worst customer service. Most places say "thank you bye!" when you leave. They look up see you leave then look down. I find that incredibly rude especially when they are very expensive! Also their beds are so hot. I have tanner skin to begin with so I usually go in their level 3 beds. After 4 minutes in the lay down beds my skin feels like it's melting off. It honestly feels like I'm laying on Black asphalt. It's unbearable. It's not cause I was burning from the rays but because their bed it so hot and their fans barely work. Do not go here! read more

I seriously LOVE this salon!!! I recently got a new membership there and was blown away by how friendly and personable the staff is. They are always smiling and happy! Everything is clean and very modern. The spray tan machines are absolutely amazing as well! You also can't beat the membership prices that they have. I am so glad I signed up!! Great place, amazing prices, amazing staff! read more

This is my first review I've ever done on Yelp, but I felt like I had to do it. This location has always been convenient for me. I live maybe a half mile away and honestly, convenience is the primary reason I've been using this salon. Not that's it's a bad (or good) salon but mediocre. Until recently I've seen some MAJOR changes here when Hannah became the manager. I'm a military veteran run my own business so I know and understand when people take pride in their work and can efficiently and effectively do what their title requires. This location now runs both efficiently and effectively! It's cleaner and the staff is much more knowledgeable. It's a night and day difference. Hannah has completely turned this salon around. My wife used Palm Beach Tan and I've been kicking the idea around of using that location...Hannah has changed my mind and I'm not leaving. Side note, Kasia has been there for years and she's made it very pleasant as well but she could only do so much. Hannah and Kasia are two faces I love seeing when I come to tan! read more

Laura is the best. Always friendly happy and helpful. Makes me want to tan. Other employees are not as friendly.

Worst customer service I've encountered! I asked them to cancel my account however the agent didn't properly cancel my account and they charged my CC, I asked for a refund and they keep avoiding to talk to me and never call back! So unprofessional!!! read more

Filthy, disorganized, poorly managed. Staff and management are rude and callous. The worst customer service and experience ever.

I think the staff at La tan is remarkable- I have a membership and I receive excellent service. Nikki was the first clerk that completely made me feel welcome and made me look forward to seeing her. She always went the extra mile- sadly Nikki's schedule changed so I had a few different people in between, then more recently, the last few months I have had the pleasure of dealing with Krystal on a regular basis and she always makes me feel the same way. I think employees say so much about a business and you are fortunate to have these two. read more

I use to love this location, but recently it's horrible! The staff is rude, unprofessional and unfriendly. Today was another "emergency" day that I could not tan. Seems strange it always happens about an hour before closing. If this continues I will have to find another place. read more

This review is strictly for Norridge location. I visited this place on Tuesday morning and asked them if they still have special for Tuesdays $5 for any level. One of the girls said yes , so I was like cool . The other one named Ashley asked for my first and last name , she also asked me if I would like to use my tanning $ I was like sure if I can use it I will . I did not even know I had any left, anyway making long story short , after she redeemed my $10 tanning money she told me my balance was little bit over $6 I was like hold on girl , You just took my $10 tanning money and you will charge me additional money and today you have special for $5 ??? In very rude way she responded you told me to use it... For real you are working there and you know , you are just screwing me over and you blame on me ... I pointed out to her right away that I do not like this ... she made face and was like whatever. So rude and so unprofessional to try to overcharge people ... I will make sure to email their corporate office as well. This kind of behavior is totally wrong. read more

Ringworm! Yes i said it! I have been tanning at this location for over 6 years, I absolutely used to love going to it, its close to my house, convenient parking and friendly staff. Unfortunately, it is by far the dirtiest tanning salon i have ever been to. About 5 years ago 2 of my fellow tanning buddies claimed to have got ringworm/fungal infections from this location, I ignored it and continued to tan, I kept in mind if i did a lay down bed to wipe it down myself (for my own sanity, admit its kinda gross to lay naked on top of a piece of acrylic that sumone 5 mins prior was laying naked on). 3 weeks ago i tanned on a "5$ Tuesday" aka dirtiest day of the week! Employees do not clean the beds as well as any other day due to high volume traffic in the salon. I did a level 3 lay down for 10 mins. I hadn't tanned for 3 weeks before i tanned then so I noticed the typical UV burns under my boobs, on my abs and my butt. 3 days later i was peeling which is normal, but the peeling turned into intense itching, especially under my boobs. I put some aloe vera on it and went on with my normal routine. Last week i laid in my bed and could not stop itching my abs, butt cheeks and under my boobs. I was itching to the point of bruising the areas i had been itching, shortly after i noticed some raised bumps forming around the irritated area. It freaked me out and web MD was the first place i looked. Sure enough, the affected areas were spitting images of ring worm symptoms. I made an appointment with my doctor, right away she knew it was ringworm. She asked if i had been in a dirty gym, a hotel or tanning bed? La Tan is the only place I had been to of that nature in the past six months! So my answer was yes, and she prescribed me a topical cream for the affected area. This has been an uncomfortable, embarrassing, unnecessary experience for me, it could have been avoided by keeping a clean, sanitary salon! I really want to bring this to the attention of corporate, 3 people in the past 5 years that i know of has had to deal With this! God only knows how many more people got some sort of fungal infection from there! Samko, Alissa and Kay are all employees so their reviews mean crap! This is a disgusting place to promote and you all should be ashamed! read more

I've been in this L.A. tan more than once. Depending on who's working they are very helpful. One of the blonde girls is very nice, suggested a lotion that I liked, and is always very friendly. A couple other girls seem very disinterested and it shows. Sure, they are probably bored but good customer service is needed in any business. The bed I went in had dust all over the bulbs and hair all over. It was gross. read more

Love it here! I was skeptical after reading all the negative reviews. However as soon as I walked in Julia greeting me with a huge smile and gave me a run down of everything they offered. She is an extremely sweet and very helpful employee! The stand up bed I used was very efficient and the fans worked very well (this is important to me). I will definitely be a regular here...thanks LA Tan! read more

I used to come here and get tan so easily and it was noticeable, however recently I've been going and am NOT getting tan. I literally have been going everyday for two weeks not and I am not anywhere near getting darker and I feel like I'm wasting my money. I do everything correctly, I wear good lotion and also moisturize. These beds need to get their bulbs changed because they all suck. I used to get tan doing only level 3, now I went all the way up to 6 and I am not as tan as I should be. The only girl who works there that is helpful and nice in anyway is the one who had really blonde hair. Everyone else doesn't even remotely care about your questions. read more

I loved the service I received here, the girl who helped me (she had long red hair and a dark dark tan)was super friendly and told me all the information I needed as a first time tanner. She took her time and educated me on the best lotion for my skin type. What a fun experience! I will for sure be coming back. read more

Not what it used to be. Improved for sure. Friendly and helpful staff. Always clean or being cleaned. Good bed selection and great hours!

One of the worst LA Tan locations!! I always use LA for my tanning, but not this particular location. The staff is never welcoming and never friendly. The girls act like they don't really care whats going on, and they don't seem to focused on the customer. Also I think this location bumps up their prices higher than other locations do. read more

I love the LA Tan franchise, however, this location does not live up to the LA Tan standards. The floors are always covered in dirt and the beds have a visible layer of gunk on them. The staff is unprofessional in the way they speak to customers. They are unfriendly and distracted while doing their jobs. I once stood by the desk for 10 minutes while I waited for the young lady that works there to stop checking her social media. The speakers do not work in any of the beds. I avoid going to this location at all costs. read more

This LA Tan in Norridge is incredibly dirty. It isn't an exaggeration that there is hair and dust between light bulbs under the bed's acrylic. My first time here I used a level one lay down bed and there were lotion smudges from the previous client all over the top acrylic! They aren't properly sanitizing beds which should warrant a visit from the health department. The dirty bed also didn't have a working fan. I brought this, and the fact that the button for the fan had been removed and exposed wires had been left behind to the attention of the staff at the front desk and I was completely shocked by their response. The boy working told me he knew the fan was out. That would have been a good thing to tell me before I got in the bed. As for the exposed wires he told I was wrong! I touched sharp wire ends trying to turn the fan on and he insisted I was lying. Reluctantly he followed me to the room where I showed him dangerous, exposed wires. He acted like it was no big deal and didn't apologize for obviously not believing me! The staff are rude and incompetent! They are not friendly and can barely get you assigned to a bed. God forbid if you try to ask them a question or purchase a product. read more
