I'm going to preface this review by saying I am Greek. For years a struggled with stray hairs on my chin and it drove me crazy. I could feel the stubble, so I tweezed, shaved, waxed and they would always come back. I would get acne spots and other unsightly blemishes from constantly touching my face or manipulating the skin around those hairs. One day I was on Groupon and saw an ad for electrolysis. I was nervous, I was also tired of dealing with these stupid hairs, so I thought, ok, this place is local, let me try a session and see what happens. I called to get information, they told me to prep by not tweezing for a couple of weeks to get growth (shaving was ok). I went in and met Megan Erceg's mom. She was delightful and put me at ease. The space was inviting and bright. For the nervous, there was water and chocolate. When I sat with Megan, we chatted like we were old friends. She told me how she started the business, the challenges she faced, how important it was to be with her family (which keeps growing). Of course I told her my story as well. I love this environment! It's so comforting to walk in and feel like "family." My initial sessions went past the Groupon coupon, but honestly, it was reasonable and the pure joy I felt by not feeling those ugly hairs was liberating. I could feel my smile being brighter and my confidence growing. There is no price tag you could put on the self-esteem I gained thanks to Meg. I went a couple of years with no regrowth, but recently I felt a couple hairs popping up. I made an appointment and Meg told me that stress sometimes causes growth. Guess what, she took care of it for me and said that no follow up was required, but to pop in for clean up as needed. I loved that she didn't try to upsell me and keep me coming back for "maintenance" when it wasn't needed. This is a wonderful practice, they have multiple technicians, a clean facility, products galore if you are interested, no pressure to buy or add services (unless you are looking). Be sure to stop in and get a boost of confidence.

That said, I didn't feel like she wasn't really listening to me. I specifically told her this was my third time sugaring, and shortly afterward she started explaining things to me as though it were my first time. It was a little frustrating because I had literally just told her I'd done this before. The bigger issue, though, was the actual Brazilian. Later that day when I got home, I noticed quite a few small hairs still remaining on one side. At first I didn't think it was a huge deal because they weren't very noticeable. But then I took a closer look and realized there were several long, dark hairs completely missed on the inner labia. For a Brazilian, that's a pretty significant area to miss. A few stray hairs wouldn't have bothered me, but this was much more than that. I really wanted this to be my new go-to spot, especially because the location is so convenient, but unfortunately the quality of the service just wasn't there. I won't be returning.

The facility is very pink lol. Not an obnoxious pink but it starts to close in on you after awhile. The receptionist let me know my tech was finishing up with her client but that wait turned into 20 min. It's finally my turn and after sitting past my appointment time I assumed the wax would be warm and the table already cleaned off but nope. Anywho... to me, the application of the sugar wax was more painful than the ripoff. I'll definitely try this again because it did last a little longer than regular waxing.

‼READ TO SAVE YOUR MONEY‼ I went in for a lash lift and tint, as well as a brow tint(got coerced to…read moredo lamination), and was really disappointed. The girl who did the service was nice, but the overall experience fell short. It felt like I was there forever -- I arrived at 11:30 and didn't leave until 1:30. I've usually gone to Brittany or Luciana, but since they're no longer there (which is sad because they were great), I gave this new girl a chance. Unfortunately, my lashes barely held their lift after few minute of driving away (5 mins) and didn't even look tinted. They just looked like my regular lashes. The brows came out decent, but she did some waxing and cutting, which I hadn't asked for, now one tail is shorter than the other and thinner.. there goes months of growing. To make things worse, I ended up with a burn! I wasn't going to pay $175 for this, so I went back and asked for a refund for the lashes at least. It's a real shame because the place was great with Brittany and Luciana. I wouldn't be surprised if they left because they weren't treated well and made their own business. The girl who worked on me even mentioned she only had THREE MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE, which really showed. Brazilian Beauty shouldn't advertise services they're not qualified to provide. Sadly, my eyes hurt now, and I wish I didnt even get coerced to do brow lamination wasted half my day for nothing. I LOVED this place but can no longer recommend or support.

Buyer Beware. Diwali DISAPPOINTMENT!…read more The owner is absolutely INCONSIDERATE and UNETHICAL and UNPROFESSIONAL in his business practices. You may even be SCOLDED like me over any minor issue. He will keep changing prices for exact same service provided previously/ routinely. Even if you confirm price each time you walk in to be sure, he'll still try to raise price AFTER service is complete (so customer feels wrongfully compelled). This evening I confirmed price for hair and henna as soon as I reached, because of past experiences. We verbally agreed. After we did my face waxing, he asked if I wasn't in a hurry, if I could wait while they do threading and waxing for a customer who suddenly came SEVERAL minutes AFTER me. I nicely agreed but emphasized it was my Birthday and Diwali on the same day (11/4) this year so please be sure to take care of me too, as my hair and henna were still pending (each usually takes about 7 minutes). Apparently the other customer was a greater profit so ETHICS went out the window when my turn came. After I waited ~30m, the owner suddenly increased the price for my hair from verbally agreed upon $12 to $20 - without any good / valid reason. I was disappointed but still wanted the service given my Birthday and Diwali so nicely offered $15 just because other salon appts wouldn't be available in time for my Diwali party the very next night. He very rudely and loudly said NO, the price was now $20 EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, even though I waited and even though he agreed $12 just ~30m earlier. So I again nicely said let's just do my henna and he refused. He said it was too late, they suddenly wanted to close. I had pointed out that I was speaking at a normal volume and he had been speaking at a needlessly high volume / aka yelling. He says because "I am pissed off." Sorry but there is NO reason to raise your voice to a regular customer, who was being perfectly calm, especially over a mere $5. And he refused to do my henna though I started to tear up because I had told him henna is a way of celebrating given my Birthday blessedly falls on Diwali. The beautician Deepali even looked sadly at me because the owner was scolding me over $5 and refusing me the very quick services after I had waited for the other (apparently more profitable) customer. So there you have it - despite all, there is not even an IOTA of customer service, professionalism, or even making a young lady's Diwali and Birthday a happy one. The very least they could do was complete the henna service since the design and price were not at all in question. I had not at all raised my voice so am not ever accepting being yelled at by a BUSINESS OWNER. You need to be more PROFESSIONAL than that, have BASIC BUSINESS ETHICS & minimal DECENCY. You should not treat your customers SO VERY POORLY because one day you will run out of customers to cheat and abuse. Especially with so many other salons in the area with competitive service such as Bindiya and Payal also in Parsippany. Forget customer is always right, customers even get scolded here.

After searching, I stumbled upon this beautiful little boutique nestled in the back of a hair salon in Linden, NJ. I love the fact that she is so committed to her clients that she wanted to run a business her way. For my first visit, I received 20% off (and you can, too, if you mention my name) and booked an eyebrow wax and Brazilian. Francesca could tell I was a little nervous, and automatically set out to make me comfortable. She explained EVERYTHING from what I would feel lying down to the wax she was using and the technique and answered all my questions with expert knowledge! She warned me when she thought I may have trouble, but overall, this was the most pleasant waxing experience I've ever had and I'm no longer afraid of the Brazilian, thanks to this amazing esthetician! I look forward to going back every few weeks and can't wait to book a facial to treat myself some time soon! She constantly has monthly specials going on and is such a great, bubbly, and warm person. I love her space and her attitude and her commitment to giving and doing her best for her clients. Will definitely become a regular here!
