So I've been to a lot of nail salons, and usually the work is good but within days the nails are coming off or peeling or some other issue. I stopped in to this place after looking at their Yelp and reading reviews. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the job and even more so with how open she was to do any and all designs if I wanted any. Other places I've been too have told me a flat out no to such request but not here. Even more surprised after seeing the acrylic and gel still intact and on my nail. Very clean environment. Only one small thing, I asked for coffin but got more of a square shape still greatly done no less. read more

The nail light machine wasn't working at the pedicure portion, but the staff turned on a fan for me right away. There were massage chairs and a television to watch. Went here because of the nail art here on yelp but decided to get plain nails first to see how this place was (I've been to too many places where one person can do nail art and other techs can barely do the basics but say they can do nail art). One nail tech here these days and she couldn't really even do plain gel well. Half my nails peeled off in a week or two. I found this spot on Yelp and based on the reviews, I visited. NEVER AGAIN!! I went in for full set and pedicure, and two later I left with a horrible nail set and a pedicure I could have done at home. The lady was nervous and it wasn't till she was nearly done and after I pointed out an ugly, that she said "oh, I didn't even ask you what you wanted." I wanted to scream. I feel bad leaving this review because the person doing my mani/ pedi was so nice but I must .... Gel mani - person was so nervous doing my gel mani, they used a machine to take off my polish THEN they soaked my hands in acetone for 10 mins! Then used the machine again to scrub the the remainder of the polish off my already soaked and brittle nails ! So uncomfortable. For my REGULAR pedicure I was walked to a building NEXT DOOR because I guess they are moving buildings & still weren't done . Weird . Same person proceeded to use A MACHINE AGAIN to clean my toenails. That has never happened & instead of using a brush to scrub the dead skin off, a nail filer was used!!! Then to make it worst, acrylic was put on my big toe without asking!! told me after the fact that it was done so all the nails looked even.... ok thanks, but I rather NOT have that done. Now I can't wear close toe shoes, because the acrylic makes it uncomfortable . they also only have one person working on you so it took two hours!!!! Again person was nice, didn't speak English, but so sweet. I still tipped well but It would be great if they were trained to do better mani/pedis. When I walked in I was greeted by Sarah (who was absolutely amazing) and she walked me through what a full set of acrylics was and explained the pricing to me as well. Let me start off by saying that I have no idea how this place has 4 1/2 stars! I was really looking forward to this place, being Latina and going into a Latina owned business made it feel more special. When I walked in I was greeted by Joanna, she was very nice and welcoming. I asked for a pedicure and fill. She had to ask the boss where I should start off first. I was seated to do my fill first with Susy. I had my heart set on specific nails that were shown in THEIR yelp and IG page. When showed her the picture she said she did not know how to do that. I asked well who does, she immediately calls Araceli (she might be the boss since she was taking control of the business) she walked up and told me I can do that design after Susy was done finishing my fill. She started working on my nails. She started using and electric filer to remove the gel polish I had previously had on, I thought that was very strange since it was time consuming and I usually go to a Vietnamese owned salon where they remove previous polish with aluminum which takes 5min. It took her 40min to remove the paint and the boss lady walked up to her and made her change the tool she was using since it was the WRONG tool she was using. I'm a very patient person so I remained optimistic that she will do a good job! Was I wrong! She continued to do my fill. She put so much acrylic polymer powder that the nails came out so chunky! I also decided not to get the design since she had taken 3.10 hrs on my nails!!! I was so disappointed and I didn't get to do my pedicure. She did a sloppy job, where my nails are chunky and uneven. Did I mention she also cut me. I really had high hopes for this business but they have to make sure their technicians are confident and skilled to do the job before they are given clients. When I go to other nail salons, the technician doing your nails have their certifications on their stations to be seen and not at this location. I contacted the business and they said they would give me 10% off on my next fill and a feee pedicure -_- I will be taking my business to Atlantic square. read more

I went for the $18 pedicure and it included 5 minutes of massage, by the way my massage was 1 minute long so I'm guessing they counted the time they spent prepping for the massage . She spent more time cleaning the outer part of my nail because of the nail polish that landed there. She clipped my nails but did not file them at all to shape them. Although the nail part wasn't the best, applying the second coat of nail polish wasn't the best because it didn't fully cover my nail, some parts from the 1st nail coat was still able to be seen. My sister in law and I live close by this place so went to try it and this place is an awful place to go do your nail. Trust me people don't go to this place. My sister in law and I ask for a gel manicures that cost $15.00. Apparently the polish stays intact on the nail for at least a couple of weeks with high shine and no cracking, peeling or chipping. But this didn't happen the same day our manicure staring peeling and cracking up! It didn't last at a day! If we knew that was going to happen we wouldn't wasted our money here. We also experienced a bad costumer service this older lady had an ugly attitude to the employees and to us. Not the best. Went in for 2 pedicures (one for myself and the other for my bf) as I had made an appointment for us I assumed we'd be seen in a timely manner. When we walked in we were not greeted but since I know what's up when going to a nail shop I walked straight to the nail polish and chose a color. Took a few minutes to pick one out and that whole time we were not greeted. The girl that was there tried (I guess) and said hello after we'd been sitting there for about 5 mins. I'm not blaming her AT ALL. She was very attentive to the customer she was working with. But whoever is in charge of scheduling needs to pick up some slack because the poor girl was there BY HERSELF trying to finish the woman's set and get the walk-in that happened to arrive before us. But no one ever directly spoke to myself or my man in regards to wtf was going on. They literally ignored us and only talked to the walk-in customer directly. So I made an appointment while sitting there at another shop in Pico. They only started speaking to us when they noticed us walking towards the exit. And it wasn't even a person that worked there who spoke to us...it was the "walk-in" lady and she said "you guys aren't gonna wait?" to which my bf replied "no, we had an appointment and no one has even tried to tell US what's going on" and all I said was "NOPE!" because if I said anything else EVERYBODY in that shop would've been just as unhappy as me so I just left. Very unhappy and unpleasant experience. If a customer can make it to their nail appointment while it's raining cats and dogs outside then so should the nail techs. Super disappointed in this establishment. I live super close by and wanted to like it. Good thing I went to that other spot and was able to get us our pedis done. Saddest part for me is that the owner helped schedule my appointment via Yelp. I hope she's aware of these issues and addresses them. It might also behoove someone to crack a window as I almost threw up while waiting because of the harsh chemical odors. She really took the time to make sure that she did a good job and that I was completely satisfied with the finished product. They are a small business that really takes the time to make sure that their customers get what they want. Honestly, it's been years since I've had such a beautiful manicure and was not feeling rushed out or feeling like I was bothering someone if I asked for extra lotion, like all the other nail shops around. i agree w/ some of the good and bad reviews. *some* staff is friendly and welcoming, especially as a latinx! however they're not very professional. i've been there a couple times, 3-4 with sarah (who's work is amazing, shes very professional and nice) and twice with juan. juan is friendly but he kinda does his own thing. i came in wanting one thing and he just kept suggesting and adding things without asking and it's awkward to say no at that point. his work is sloppy, despite him taking his time finish it. a lot of their photos are misleading because half the time the techs can't do the work in the pictures or they redo it however they want without asking. overall the owners are stand offish and favor their regulars way more than newer people. i've also had my hair cut and colored at her salon next door and she's always making snarky comments. maybe don't come here expecting a good experience, especially if you have social anxiety. i've also shown up to my appointments in the morning and they sorta just open whenever they feel like it so if you do come here be prepared to have your time completely wasted due to poor time management. read more
