He started measure gel x tips and I had to remind him we were doing acrylic. He should have said that he cannot do acrylic because, he cannot do acrylic. It was some of the worst acrylic application I have ever seen in my life. Sloppy, lazy, trash. I should have got up after seeing his acrylic application on my first hand. That's my fault. When he was done filing I asked if he could even out the nails because they were lumpy. He proceeded to make the shape even worse and still lumpy. I asked if I should wash my hands after filing (every shop I have ever gone to in my life has told me to) and he said no. I should have stopped him here too. It took him an hour and a half just to put the acrylic on. At this point I realized he was either talentless or purposely messy my nails up. So I skipped the nail art I asked for and asked just for plain gel polish on top. At the end I told the lady at the front that I hated my nails and showed her and she understood and told me I could come back and have someone else fix them. My nails would often break because of the poor care that my natural nails received, they were being overly filed, my fingers were overly soaked, overly cut cuticles, wrongly shaped nails that would break easily and I would walk away feeling unhappy more often than not towards the end. The estimated times online are 35 minutes for a pedicure and 1 hour for full set, it was a Tuesday afternoon so the salon was not packed and busy as a weekend morning would be. I lost a majority of my day to waiting here and now do not have enough time to do all of my errands for the day. I mentioned that I'd been standing outside in the sun waiting to get seated at One Piece Cafe, and she kindly offered me a bottle of water. I chose a bright orange shade that's perfect for summer, and I was finished in about 30 minutes. The salon was clean, and my manicure was done very neatly, which I loved. I paid about $45 plus tip for a basic gel manicure. I usually get acrylics, and that's almost what I pay for a fill at my regular salon.
