All the meats were really delicious and I liked the softness of the pide. They also offered us complimentary tea after our meal which was a great way to end off dinner.

We got the platter for two and the chicken shawarma pide. The pide was really good, but it was just missing something. Maybe a dip or something? Overall still quite filling and delicious. The platter was very juicy, large and delicious. Service was quite good, despite us being the only people on the "patio" and the inside being busy. Would come again

The restaurant is tucked inside a charming little house with a deck out front, string lights & such a cozy feel. When we arrived, it was packed with couples young & old and families, and the whole atmosphere felt low-key, warm & joyful. We ordered wine and a few things from the menu: Fattoush Salad, Sarma (grape leaves), Cheese Borak, dips (hummus, moutabbal & lavash eggplant) and Shish Taouk (chicken kabobs). While there are similarities to Middle Eastern food, there were some subtle differences I really loved, especially the chicken, which was incredibly moist & flavorful, and the Cheese Borak, which I'd never had before and was SO good. Everything we tried was delicious, the service was wonderful, and I would absolutely come back.

The crumb was crumbly, though slightly dry. The beef tasted decent, though it was a little dry.  Ghacourma was alright. The beef was slightly dry. It came on rice which was confusing given the menu description. We got complimentary prepackaged lavash & pita on request to make the sandwiches, but given how simple the flavour was the sandwich didn't work as it was too dry & plain (since the bread was even drier & less flavourful than the rice). The dish was rather one dimensional without any sauce as the beef was very simply cooked. The rice was also simply cooked with pine nuts.

The plate had a good variety of meats and no BS (unlike some other restaurants that throw fries on the plate and call it 'delicacy'). They also didn't dip everything into lamb oil to "enhance" the flavour - you could actually taste the meat itself. The beef was soft, the chicken was juicy, and the lamb was tender. They also offered free naan and dipping sauce, which was very nice. For dessert, we had baklava, $4 for a small piece, but we had no complaint considering the free appetizer earlier. We ordered "Mix Appetizers" to share, which was served with freshly baked Turkish bread. Spicy Mash had a bit of a kick, but not too spicy, which we enjoyed. Baba Ganoush, Haydari and Hummus were fresh and tasty. For main, we ordered "Efendi Lamb Chops", "Efendi Meat Shish Kebab", "Beyti Kebab", "Sac Tava" and "Spinach and Cheese Pide". Efendi Lamb Chops And Efendi Meat Shish Kebab were served on a hot sizzling plate which was really fun to watch and they were the most tender, juicy and flavourful ones we have ever had. Pide was fresh and the cheese was very tasty. Beyti Kebab had a bit of a kick to it which we really loved; we also enjoyed the combination of yogurt and Spicy Mash; it was a great combination with the veal wraps. Sac Tava was a great combination of cubed beed, green peppers and spices. We loved every bite of our food. We ended on a sweet note with freshly made "Kunefe" and of course Turkish coffee. Kunefe was very delicious and right amount of sweetness. Turkish coffee was served in beautiful cups and we enjoyed both.

That's like at least 2,600 times (well maybe it's a bit of an overestimation given the fact that many of us sat at home for almost a whole year). Yet I've given Naami the cold shoulder. To be fair, there are plenty of Persian options to compete for my foodie wallet in the general area. Finally, they've waited long enough to get a share of it (humbly, it's not that much... hehe). But perhaps my tingling foodie sense was just right all these years. Purchasing food from Naami was an investment that I instantly regretted. The chicken kebab with rice was not too bad. The shawarma chicken wrap however was the worst I've ever had. I'm suspecting that the cut of meat chosen was not the greatest. The meat just didn't taste proper and the marination was not strong enough to compensate for it. Now that I've checked them off the list, I no longer have to wonder about that restaurant with the green and yellow sign that is tucked in at the corner of the plaza while I drive to and from work.

As soon as one of us was running low on water, a server was right there to refill it. The complimentary bread wasn't the best, though, and sadly, the dip was served in three very small bowls. The meat tasted authentic, by which I mean it was simply grilled with little seasoning, no unnecessary sauces. The kebabs were juicy and flavourful too - you could taste the lamb fat that added some richness. Service was okay, not quite attentive but sufficient.
