do not recommend Kyle Scooter Shop. Extremely overpriced and dishonest. They tried to charge me $100 for a basic oil change, and pushed unnecessary services like CVT and rollers replacement for $350 on my 2020 scooter with only 4,900 miles. Everything they suggested was not needed, and it felt like they were trying to upsell parts just to make money. Very disappointed -- save your time and money and go somewhere else. I bought an expensive classic scooter from Kyle & had it shipped. Its in good overall shape, but getting help, any kind of communication or info was an ordeal. Upon receiving it, fuel had splashed all over the tank & down both side covers, ruining the paint & gaskets. Really surprised it shipped full of fuel. After putting 150 miles on it, literally Everything is falling off of it. On my first enquiry, he said things get loose during transport. Really, in the back of a truck? Pretty sure riding them causes more vibration. This thing was slammed together from a basket/project scooter in about a day it appears. Carb was loose. Literally missing EVERY grommet that they come with. No air cleaner box. Every bolt on the thing, from fenders, trim pieces, rubber foot mat -All falling off. Front wheel bearings are shot, front drum warped beyond function, painted with a spray can (i knew this) Front shock shipped with one bolt through it & the second one, not able to align the hole. Complete hack job. When asked about this.. Had no idea & didn't care. Its dangerous & going to require a healthy mod to fix. I'd recommend getting a pre-buy inspection (elsewhere) before buying ANYTHING from his website ads! Feeling ripped off for the most part. After spending $3k, I get to dump another $1k to make it right. Update: still dealing with the wrong speedo cable that was tossed in it. Different size cable than the speedo head is. Will have to replace both with a matching pair now. read more

At 1000 miles on my Vespa Sprint 150, I took it to Kyle's Scooter Shop for an oil and filter change and overall checkup. Kyle charged $100 in Sept 2022 which was about 40% of what I would have paid at the Kawasaki dealership up north. Kyle is not a showroom that's always open, but a small business repair shop. Kyle and I communicated by text for 2-3 weeks, off and on, till we found a mutually agreeable time for me to drop off the Vespa and pick it up the next day. Got in touch with Kyle to ask if he could work on my decidedly non-vintage 2009 Aprilia scooter that I depend on for commuting to work...and he said "yes." What followed was a rather difficult repair in replacing the inner workings of my water pump to solve a small coolant leak. It took a while to get parts but Kyle's mechanic skills took care of my water pump, squeaky brakes, replacement drive belt and more. Once Randy shuttered Vespa of Dallas it was difficult to find an honest shop to maintain my 2015 Vespa 150. Finding Kyle's was a literal answer to prayer. A clutch cable broke. Kyle came by, picked up the scooter and delivered it back the NEXT day! Who does that? I was expecting to offer up my first born for such service, but no - Kyle charged me what was actually below cost for the total repair. The next time he rescued me was when one of the front decorative lights went out. Once again, he not only repaired the light issue but recommended a new LED light system that has solved many previous issues. For instance, removing the protruding turn signal lights to a much brighter main body light. This guy knows what he's doing. Recently I needed a brake light issue addressed. It took him no time at all to locate the problem - broken cable in the hand brake - replace the part, and have me back on the road. Still, at a cost way below what one would expect to pay, even at a discount place in China. Every time I need help Kyle responds to voice mail, text, or even dropping by his shop. Kyle is a great person to deal with. I had a 2004 Yamaha Vino that was giving me some trouble. I have owned it for 11 years and Kyle was upfront and honest about the work that needed to be done to it. He spent a great deal of time breaking down the vehicle in order to give me a good estimate.
