Big D has a fine collection of different Norton, Triumph and other assorted bikes from the late-60s to the early-80s in immaculate restored condition. For the uninitiated, there is a slight learning curve involved in transitioning from a modern electric ignition bike with standardized shifting to a classic euro bike. First, there's no electric start. You'll be getting vigorously acquainted with a kickstarter on most of the models. Second, there is a variety of shift patterns, some are left side, some are right side, some are 1d5u, while others are 1u5d. Best of luck remembering. The last thing to remember about riding around on a loud, fast cafe racer from England is that the bikes of yesteryear shake. And how. It is not uncommon to arrive at a destination to find out your taillight is barely hanging on by the last thread of only one screw as it has backed out and is now trying to leave you. This is part of the allure of fun old bikes. You get to tinker. And who better to ask how to trick out your cafe racer than the staff of Big D. These guys regularly swing down to the Saltflats and have run streamliners and set records. They have bikes in fully restored conditioned, and in rolling frames. If you've got questions, they've got answers when it comes to the classics. This is a must-stop on a Saturday ride around the Metroplex.

Re-Cycles is that business. They are a straightforward, honest and dependable business. I recently purchased a 2002 Yamaha V-Star from Brian at Re-Cycles. This is the third bike I have purchased and the first from anyone in Texas. I found the shop through Cycle Trader and had never heard of the business previously. I spoke with Brian on the phone and then came out for a test ride. He was as open and honest as they come. Easy to talk to about any issues with the bike and he made the test ride process much simpler than most shops. I was able to take as much time as I needed to ride and inspect the bike. When I agreed to purchase, Brian had all the logistics done in house. Title, inspection, preparation, everything was done within a 24 hour period and most likely could have been quicker if I needed. I have been more than pleased with my purchase. The bike was priced right and has had zero issues. The entire purchase process was enough for me to write this review. But more so, the fact that I have a bike in great working condition and paid much less than I would have at any other shop made it a must for ne to draft this review. I would recommend Brian and Re-Cycles to anyone in the market for a bike, new rider or experienced. This place is also a collector's gold mind if you like rare equipment. Needless to say when I am ready there is no place I would rather go to for my next bike than Re-Cycles. My hat is off to Brian and his team!
