My son recently had a terrible experience where they messed up the filling and after a 3 hour event, they made him come back later and he was in terrible pain for almost a week. I recently had 3 old fillings replaced with new fillings. I was also in pain for days and the work was no where near the quality of the original Dr. Lukin for several reasons. Here's the straw that broke the camel's back. I will no longer be a customer. I have a teeth cleaning appointment in 4 days from now, and they sent me a text message asking me to confirm the appointment yesterday. I didn't respond in 24 hours and they cancelled my appointment for 4 days from now. Ugh. They seem to have too much business and don't seem to care if they run some of it off.

UPDATE: I went and sought out a 2nd opinion...since Fort bend Dental Aliana didn't want to help me…read morethe same day...This new dentist evaluated Dr. Barrata's work...it wasn't the adhesive that was the issue....Barrata didn't cut real tooth enough for crown to sit on with good grip...so crown has a wabble effect and caused the crown to fall off.....it wasn't the adhesive...it's that the tooth that the crown sits on wasn't cut small enough for the. -- Initially I thought it was a good place, I only got tooth cleaning done. So, I provided a good review. It takes time to get to know how this organization operates. I had to go back in for a tooth issue where I needed a crown. This is when I started realizing they are not doing something correct. Vinny Barrata is assigned to me as my dentist, he seemed like he knows what he is doing. Anyways, he worked on a tooth of mine..he shaved off the cracks and sized it to set a crown on. Initially had a temporary crown for a couple of weeks while I waited to get my new crown. The problems began after getting my new crown. Note: I have experience with 4 other crowns now been set in my mouth for over 5 years. But the crown that Dr. Barrata did, first try the crown that Barrata set, it popped out in two weeks. I had to go back. Second time, Barratta put a new crown in popped out in 11 months, so I went back recently, Barrata again worked on it...I told him I thought it was the adhesive. But he chose to go the route of using a backup crown that he ordered, and put it on...he still chose to use old adhesive and new crown.. Personally, i told him if he's using the same adhesive, I don't think it will fix it...later the same day in the evening I was having dinner, just eating rice and it popped out again...that's 3 times a crown popped out worked on my tooth by Dr. Barrata. I called the Aliana dental folks asking for help today and they rejected to help me stating Barratta is at another office and the dentist Lana on site cannot assist...so basically saying to me that you need to wait for Dr. Barrata...while I suffer with a jagged tooth. This company operates like a ma and pop shop. The help who was assigned to my case, I found that Dr. Barratta was letting her shave the new crown. I asked the help are you dentist...cuz I was like why is she shaving my tooth...shouldn't a licensed professional be shaving my tooth....she was not a licensed profession...she was Barrata's help basically...when I accused her of not being a dentist...that's immediatly when Barrata stepped it. What I discovered is these dentists that work here 100% empower help/unlicesend folks to pick up some of the work dentists should ideally be doing. Immidiatly Barrata started working on my tooth after I accused the non licensed person of not being a dentist and why she was working on my crown saving and shaping....so messed up. Anyways, same day after Barrata put in a new crow FOR THE 2nd time, he cannot get it right the first time apparantly...same evening a 3rd time my crown fell out while eating rice. I called next morning to get appointment...they were forcing me to wait another day to work with Dr. Barrata...and they kept saying they want to use the same adhesive...but here I am struggling with the back of my toungue cutting up against a shaved tooth since there is no crown....they make me suffer until Barrata gets back to the Richmond location from the Rosenburg location...they asked me to go to the Rosenberg location...but the office manager asked me...I said I cannot, I work from home and they seem to not understand that I have work...going back for fallen crown repeatedly is unaccepted...3 times worked on my by Barrata..I had to go back...they do care I'm sufferring..would not let me see the other dentist on site named Lana. Anyways, I am never going back to this location.....they are kind of getto...and will be advising folks to stay clear of this dental organization going forth. Barrata doesn't know how to keep a crown glued on past 11 months in my experience. Buyer be aware is all.

They will make sure you got pain and they do not qualify for any moderate sedation. You may take your own risk to be there with those unprofessional people. Sedation Options Offered: According to the Excel Dental website, they offer the following anxiety-relief and sedation methods: * Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas): A mild, inhaled sedative that helps patients relax while remaining awake. It wears off quickly after the procedure. * Oral Conscious Sedation: A pill taken before the appointment to manage moderate to severe anxiety. * The Wand: A computer-controlled injection system that delivers local anesthesia in a steady, more comfortable flow than traditional needles. Important Note on IV Sedation: Excel Dental does NOT currently list IV sedation (deep sedation). If you require IV sedation, other local providers that explicitly offer it include Missouri City Dentistry and Plantation Dental. Notable complaints from public reviews and consumer platforms include: * Clinical Incidents: One highly detailed complaint from 2024 involved a parent who alleged that a child was "traumatized" during a molar extraction where anesthesia reportedly wore off mid-procedure. * Billing and Financial Disputes: Patients have reported issues with the finance department, specifically regarding the handling of referral credits and unexpected charges for certain procedures. * Prosthetic and Fit Issues: At least one senior patient reported receiving poorly fitted dentures that caused significant pain, followed by dissatisfaction with the office's refusal to provide a refund. * Service Quality: Some reviews highlight "lousy" service for specialized needs like severe underbites or hurried cleanings that felt inadequate. * Operational Concerns: Common minor complaints include long wait times--sometimes exceeding an hour--and administrative errors, such as prescriptions being issued without necessary signatures.

i have never had a doctor, a front desk "manager", the owner lie to my face over and over and over…read moreagain. My daughter has a few cavities and needed to get a couple fillings and some baby crowns (7yr old). first couple of times were fine nothing major but the last visit when she needed a baby crown, they decided to extract the tooth instead. we agreed, and proceeded. they had given her some anesthesia and finished with her fillings first then it was time for the molar extraction. she was squirming when the fillings were getting done, meaning anesthesia was wearing off, which happens. So the doctor pulls out more anesthesia and my daughter sees the big shot and freaks out and says she doesnt want it. doctor puts it away and they (nurse and my husband) are holding her down and the doctor starts to crack and twist ON HER MOLAR, which is 100% intact, as she is now screaming. her eyes are rolling back because shes in pain and hyperventillating. my husband hears her tooth cracking and twisting with my daughter pleading him for help and asks them to stop and maybe give her more anesthesia since IT HAS ALREADY WORN OFF WHEN THEY WERE WORKING ON HER FILLINGS. they get my daughter to calm down and she asks for a few min and says she will take the shot but the front desk manager steps in and says shes shutting it all down. shutting it down? after you have already traumatized my daughter cracking and twisting her molar and couldnt even extract it, SHUT IT DOWN? i came back to meet the owner and the doctor and the front desk manager who were responsible for my daughter that day as, get this. her baby crown fell out. her fillings were cracking and breaking off. i meet the owner as he cracks a joke saying , oh the whole family is here hahahaha! my husband, my sister and i came as they were present the day of the last procedures. i asked my questions and commented my concerns and this is what he said to us. 1. 1st dose of anesthesia was plenty to finish almost 3 hours of work that day (we mentioned our daughter squirming while they were working on her filling so def the doctor and the nurse knew she needed another dose) 2. if the 1st dose was enough why did the doctor get ready for the 2nd shot and only put it away becsuse my daughter refused it? 3. the owner decides to tell me the doctor didnt give the 2nd dose becsuse they didnt want to over dose my daughter. 4. then the owner said they didnt give the 2nd dose becsuse the location where my daughter needed the 2nd dose was more painful than where they put the 1st dose. 5. then the owner told the doctor nurse and manager to leave as i started asking them details becsuse they knew what they did to my daughter that day 6. they gave me a refund for the crap job where the crown fell off and fillings broke off and molar was broken but not extracted leaving my daughter in forever trauma with the dentist. 7. they kept telling me theyre not a pediatric dentist... THEN WHY TAKE MY MONEY, WHY BOOK US AND WHY ADVERTISE IT LIKE YOU DO WHAT YOU DO? you made a big mistake. my daughter is terrified of the dentist thanks to your doctor and nurse trying to pull out her molar with worn off anesthesia. i asked the owner, would you let your daughters go through what mt daughter did and he said no. even as an adult i wont be able to sit through someone with a wrench, twisting and turning my molar and ive given birth twice. so youre telling me my daughter was not cooperative and that was the reason to shut it down? you people are a joke and psychopaths. shes seven. she weighs 49lbs. we had 2 grown ass men holding her down while her eyes were rolling back. i will be reporting a formal complaint. it will br a long fight but dont treat people like were dumb. you know exactly what your staff did and you sitting there keep changing your story and mocking us isnt going to make us go away. you have messed with the wrong family. you have forever traumatized my daughter and i will do everything to make sure this never happens to another child and patient due to yalls incompetence as healthcare workers.
