I was like dude it's 3 am, you just woke up..normally people are red when they first wake up. I didn't see the swelling at first. Even if I didn't see it at first. He's very in tune with his body and knows it best. We started calling emergency dentists about 6 am. Husband just pretty much walked into this place and they took him right away. Our son has had a tooth abscess before and it moved to under his eye, which could be deadly if the drainage went to his brain. Husband was rightfully paranoid and just wanted to know if it needed to be taken care of ASAP or would he be okay until he gets back to DFW. Long story short. Dr Huynh gave him pain meds and antibiotics. Told him he needed the tooth out soon or retreat of root canal, but nothing immediate. I appreciate the office getting him in quick and Dr reassuring him.

The woman really knows her stuff, and I swear she has the most steady and gentle hands. I recently had a bad experience at Jefferson Dental (I lost my insurance and they were cheaper) so I thought I'd give them a try, I had an "in between the teeth" filling placed, and food kept getting stuck in that area, and it was causing me ENOUGH pain. I went back to the dental office, and was told there was nothing wrong. :I, I knew better, I headed over to Dr. Tu, did an x-ray and she immediately told me they left a gap in between the teeth causing the problem, she advised me to go back to the previous dentist, to avoid the cost of re-doing a filling. I went back, again they found nothing, but were willing to go back in that area for free, but stated it may cause me to need a root canal. Obviously, I quickly declined and happily left!!!. I went back to Dr. Tu, paid for the re-filling, and two weeks later, my mouth feels like heaven!! There is no food getting stuck, no foul odor from food getting stuck, and most of all NO PAIN!!! I could kick myself, because without insurance Dental Care 2000 isn't even that expensive. Never again will I sacrifice my mouth to weasels to save a few bucks!
