I can't say honestly that I've ever experienced bad customer service in any dentist office but this was different. Next I met Marian and then Dr. Nguyen . Both of them were equally adept in their roles . They both listened carefully to the purpose of my visit and very effectively laid out my options. They very quickly took care of my initial service needed this morning and have me greatly anticipating my further visits. I've never experienced a dentistry that I was this pleased with. The staff is very nice and when you walk in the door they know your name. The only thing the place needs to be Cleaned and sanitized including the restroom. When I was waiting to be called I noticed a Huge amount of dust on the glass table in the corner of the lobby. Also the restroom needs to be kept clean. All the money this company makes the owner Dr. Harrison needs to hire a professional cleaning company to cleanup after the office is closed. It's always a good idea to keep Lysol spray at all times. I came here today and had the worst experience of my life. Doctor Adeola Abisogun is the worst dentist I have ever encountere. I have never gone to the dentist and left in the same condition that I came in . She has no compassion for patients in unbeatable pain and she doesn't care what so ever. she was very short with me when I explain to her that the medication she prescribed is what I've been taking and that it doesn't provide any relief to my terrible toothache. she said I understand and prescribed it to me anyway. I came in with a huge hole in my tooth and she didn't even have the decency to temporarily fill in after I asked her to. she knows I have a cavity on both sides of my mouth and that I can't eat on either side and she let me leave today the same way I came in. She didn't even let me know she was finished she just got up and walked away. I had to ask her assistant what I was waiting on and then she explained to me. My experience at this location was awesome. The front staff greeting me as soon as I opened the door. I was checked in quickly and offered an Ipad with headphone. I was able to fill out my paper work on the Ipad. My apt was at 11:00. After filling out all of my necessary forms, I was called back for e-rays by 11:05. After then dental tech, finished the dentist came in, Cindy ted the exam. All while I was watching Netflix and sitting in a massage chair. All of the staff was accommodating and very pleasant. Years ago (with another dentist) I got a root canal and a temporary crown. Temp broke and tooth broke while eating. Never took care of it (I know, I know - horrible). Fast forward and out of nowhere my gum by said area starts throbbing severely at around 1 a.m. I was in pain!!! I was literally watching the clock so I could call as soon as Mint opened and praying I could get a same day appointment. I called at 8:06 a.m. and was able vfc to get a 9:15 a.m. same day appointment!!! I arrived approx 9:08 and was greeted immediately, which I loved. Linda gave me the paperwork to complete while she verified my insurance. I returned paperwork, she confirmed that insurance had been verified and I would be called back shortly and I was. I was in the chair approximately 9:30ish. The young lady explained that she would take a picture of my tooth and she did. I asked her name and it was Jasmine. She took the picture and was gentle while doing it. When I arrived, I requested Dr. Abraham because he extracted my husband's tooth and I liked how attentive and precise he was so I wanted the same experience. Denishia (not sure of spelling) came in with a bubbly attitude, which I loved. She asked if I was nervous, I admitted I was. She gave comforting words and it didn't sound routine or fake. She asked what I wanted on the TV and offered to let me squeeze her hand if I wanted. I opted for the chair because I knew I would be clenching hard!! LOL!! Dr. Abraham came in, explained everything thoroughly and showed me the pictures. He asked if I had questions and offered Denishia's hand to squeeze. I told him of a previous experience of being stuck six times and he replied, "How about 3?" I laughed and then he said, "3 is better than 6 right?" I had to laugh and I agreed. The shots were not bad at all as far as shots go (believe me I have felt worse). It ended up being 4 only b/c of my stubborn mouth. Both of them continued to check on me throughout the extraction and I appreciated it. I loved how before the extraction they explained the full cost, what insurance would cover and my cost. I don't like surprises and want to know upfront what is happening as relates to the cost and procedure. Previously, I was upset with Mint because when I was pregnant, I had an appointment scheduled but I told them I was NOW pregnant and would cancel. I told them how far along and everything but they assured me it was okay. I arrive and they told me they couldn't do anything because I was pregnant. I was livid!! But I was even more pissed when I found out that they submitted it to my insurance. I was like WTH, nothing was done. I said all that to say, I wasn't feeling them for a minute. However, I was completely satisfied yesterday!! Believe me, I will stay on track with my dental needs going forward. Based on yesterday's experience, I would continue to visit this Mint location (I live in Katy but haven't tried that location) and continue to request Dr. Abraham!!! read more

First timer. I've heard about this place through a colleague and decided to give it a try. When I arrived, I thought it was a spa! The modern decor doesn't feel like a dental office. It's inviting. From the paperwork to the cleaning--everything was smooth sailing. They even have tablets and headphones for "entertainment". The chairs also have massagers! Definitely calm and relaxing. If your insurance is a PPO, you get custom whitening trays to take home!! (And if you leave a Yelp or Facebook review, you get free extra whitening gel!) This is my first time at this establishment! I must say I first heard of this dentist on the radio 97.9 the BOX! I then looked it up on yelp to look at reviews and I must say it was too good to be true! So then I went to the actual website and did my little research and finally decided to give them a call to schedule my first appointment! Customer service over the phone was off top phenomenal! Very quick and easy! I arrived a couple of minutes before my apportionment and was immediately greeted by the receptionist! They actually stood up to great me and sat back down! After filling out the paperwork electronically I was given the infamous green shades to protect my eyes from the light when getting my cleaning and whitening! Did I forget to mention they are offering a free whitening treatment if you have PPO dental insurance! They were soooooo nice and very professional. Hmmm. I'm not sure how I feel about mint dentistry. They are actually very professional, and they do try offering extremely great customer care. No doubt on that, they have iPads and TVs, and massage chairs. It's very pampering. But as far as the dental work goes I would say that it's lacking from other places. I got my teeth cleaned here and my regular dentist told me I needed a deep cleaning which my insurance covers. But I guess for whatever reason the mint dentist was like no you don't need any of that you just need a basic one. And I got the "basic" one and now I have to go again somewhere else to get it actually cleaned. This place is really all the hype tho. They'll give you free stuff for rating them and free lipsticks and sunglasses. I mean as a spa it's cool as a dentist they suck. read more

If you are considering getting any major work done on your teeth, don't do it. The lab that Mint uses for dentures/partials; crowns; bridges, are the worst. It takes them extremely too long. They give you one time frame, which turns out to be completely different. They always make excuses. You leave many messages for the corporate office, and you never get a return call. No one ever answers the phone. The office staff say's that they will contact the lab for an update, and they never call you back with the outcome. They always say, welcome to Mint, how can we make you smile??? That's a joke!!!! OMG, I just heard from the Doctor, who said that the lab dropped the ball, and has not even started working on my partial, after a month. First they said that they could not do a metal frame without adding additional metal, and would recommend a resin material. Now they are saying that they can't do a resin material, only metal. Good grief!! Do any of them know what they are doing?????? Once this is over with, I will find another dentist for future visits. I was super anxious about my visit since it had been YEARS since I've seen a dentist. However, I was anxious for nothing because the staff made my visit amazing!!! They really cater to you and your kids. My daughter was with me and the receptionist gave her a tablet and headphones to play with, and some water right off the bat! They gave one to me too while I waited. You can listen to music or watch Netflix while they're working on your teeth too. Everyone was super super SUPER friendly! (shoutout to Keisha Nicole for the plug) They were very careful to maintain safe social distance as much as possible throughout my visit! I just started a new insurance and was able to get my cleaning and a teeth whitening kit for free!! & I LOVE FREE ! The office was comfortably fitted with nice, upbeat tunes to get you ready to head to the back where there was a choice or Netflix or Hulu to enjoy! First visit was horrible! Had a long wait, staff was more interested in talking to each other then working. It ended up being a 3.5 hour visit for what should have been an hour. I JUST left less than 30 minutes ago and I wish I could give no stars, but since I have to give one it's for the front desk lady who was EXTREMELY sweet. I just moved to Texas in February and this was my first dentist appointment, I scheduled the appointment yesterday and specifically asked for the next available date which was today (6/12/21) at 9am. The directions sent me down the street so i arrived no later than 9:05 AFTER calling and letting them know. I waited 2 HOURS just to be told I would have to wait another 30-45 mins on the only dentist they had in the office. My experience was so disappointing. I had to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes before I saw a dentist. The dentist (Dr. Bender) was arrogant and refused to clean my teeth unless I choose to have a deep cleaning which cost more of course. If Mint Dentistry is going to "promote giving the customer the ultimate experience", pushing expensive procedures and products is not the way. I took off my job to get a cleaning that day. My appt was at 1230p.. I scheduled during my lunch cuz it was a bite adjustment, which took all of 15 mins before, and here it is 130p.. and I'm headed back to work with rescheduled appointment... I was told a 30 min wait at the beginning because they were behind.... and then told 30 mins when I went to the desk top see what's the hold up was!!! I actually rescheduled this appt. It was for 2:30p but they said they had an opening for 12:30p. The service at this location had been everything but quality the last few times I've been... nothing like when I first came last year. Best dentist experience so far! From the moment I walked through the door I felt welcomed. The reception staff have high energy and even stood up every time a customer walked through the door. I was given an iPad to watch Netflix on while I waited on each step of my visit. The chair I sat in while the hygienist cleaned my teeth had a massage aspect! The hygienist was very gentle with my cleaning. When I asked for a non fluoride toothpaste they were able to accommodate me with another type of cleaning agent. I got my teeth examined, cleaned, and I got fillings and throughout the process, I felt like the clinicians and employees really care about their patients. They worked with me and explained everything well. They made sure I understood the process every step of the way. My assistant was ShaTara, my doctor was Dr. Jacocks, and my hygienist was Erika, and they were all very professional, friendly, and awesome. Update 7/29/2019: Called Mint to confirm the credit had posted and it was. Updated to 4 stars just because I had to go through so much just to get assistance. Warning! Be wary of what you are actually paying for. They will LIE and say something is not covered by insurance, then back door and charge the insurance company. I was told that tooth number 8 would not be covered by my insurance and was charged $200. Fast forward a month when I got my EOB in the mail. They lied. Mint Denistry charged my insurance and they paid. Since they are In the network, they contractually can NOT charge me more than the allowable amount, which they did. I even confirmed all this with my insurance company. Their exact words were "WOW, you need to call them. They owe you money. Can't believe they did that." Called them to explain this and that they owe me money. The first 2 people had no idea how to read EOB and do simple math. She tried to deduct what the insurance paid, from what I paid and refund me the difference. No ma'am . You can not do that. You were paid by me AND the insurance. The total for the service in network can be me no more than $374.20. Mint was paid $444 by me and my insurance. They owe me $70.60. Simple math people. They keep transferring calls to several people and keep saying they'll look into and call back in an hour. Never call back. It's like they are intentionally trying to avoid me. Worst service ever since I've been a patient over the years. I will be contacting my insurance company to suggest removing them from the network because this is just shady business practices. read more

This place is fantastic. The staff was extremely attentive, and like someone else said no time wasted! The Netflix kept me in a calm state as anyone would be nervous in a dentist office. The bite from my fillings feels like I never even had anything done to them. The woman who did them was very thorough and professional as well as her assistant. Save yourself time and do not ever go to this place. My dentist pumped me full of numbing stuff and left me there for an hour then came back and had to numb me all over again. Allison Hunter I believe her name was. Absolutely horrible horrible horrible. Luckily I found an oral surgeon that can finish what she was trying to do. She should've told me I had a bad infection which you should be able to see from the X-rays. But she didn't and proceeded to extract my tooth and couldn't finish the job and told me to come back in a week after taking antibiotics to clear the infection. read more

Mint dentistry has really changed my outlook on this industry as a whole! As soon as I walked in, Brandon at the front desk helped me with all my initial questions and provided me with an iPad to fill out my 'paperwork' as well as enjoy Netflix while I waited.. I really felt as if I was an appreciated customer! Came in for just a regular cleaning but needed a cavity filled.. from previous experience at other dentist office, I've always felt like they were just trying to up-sale me.. that was not the case here. The staff was beyond welcoming and friendly. The hygienist who cleaning my teeth(Aliya, I think that's her name), made my experience the best. I only saw the dentist for a couple of minutes so I can't really comment a whole lot on her. I had gone there for a cleaning and a filling at the end of the day on Friday. The reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is because my filling wasn't done that same day, which wasn't communicated to me until the very end that I would need to make another appointment. I was off from work that day, so it would have been nice to have everything done the same day. When my cleaning was done I asked about my filling to which I was told that the dentist had left for the day. I get that it was Friday but usually other places take care of all services the same appointment. The other thing the dentist failed to do was communicated a quote I had asked for something cosmetic, which was my primary reason for going in the first place. I can't say I'll want to see that same dentist again, if I go back it'll only be because I liked the staff so much. read more
