The deli and bakery are the best I've encountered, with sophisticated and delicious baked goods (especially cakes!), salads, sandwiches, and prepared foods...all made from scratch and using mostly organic and local ingredients. They also provide catering and will do a beautiful and professional job, going above and beyond with the quality of their food selections and presentation. I ordered a cheeseburger and a can of soda. The warm cans of soda were resting in a tub of lukewarm water. There were no napkins. The patio door was locked, so there was no place to sit down. The incident made me grumpy. So after I had finished my overpriced burger, I went back to the point of sale and complained. I politely suggested to the grill cook, Bryan, an Assistant Manager, that they had a customer service problem. I detailed it (lukewarm soda, lack of napkins, and a locked patio). Acting like a jackass seventeen-year-old, he said they did not have a problem. He did not accept the problem , Instead he denied there was one... He did not apologize and instead escalated his unprofessional manner. Whatever happened to the HyVee slogan "a helpful smile in every aisle"? I guess since he was outside the store, he's not required to be civil to the customers ...
