I needed to upload photos from my phone and get them printed off for a celebration of life posterboard. The manager on that day was exceptional with helping me. All the staff that helped me were very nice, friendly and professional. I was literally there for 4 hours. Getting every picture I needed printed. This Walgreens is average. We've had flu shots, filled prescriptions, bought wine, perused aisles for gifts, taken passport photos, and more at this location. BUT primarily I print photos here or cards or even copies of items. Staff is hit or miss. Price is on par. Selection seems to be ok, I do really like their seasonal gift items. The parking lot can be kind of a nightmare. But I want to shout out to their photo staff. Generally, they do a stellar job! I'll always come to the Coralville Walgreens for photos needs. read more

The nicest pharmacist! I had difficulty with another Walgreens location to get a prescription filled. This pharmacist was so kind and helped fill the prescription quickly and helped find coupons for the out-of-pocket costs. I prefer this Walgreens location to the once that's closer to my house (on Muscatine). It not nearly as busy, and I can get in and out of the pharmacy in a fraction of the time compared to the wait at the store in Iowa City. Like many establishments, operating hours have been reduced here and they just don't have the staff like they once did. I saw one cashier, someone in the photo lab and another employee stocking shelves. Shelves in several departments were very messy, but that comes with having a smaller staff. Normally open until midnight, this location said they were closing at 9pm tonight. Highly recommend this Walgreens to the other in the area. Pharmacy it top notch and also my go-to location for vaccines. read more

I went to this Walgreens in Coralville for some deodorant. I was greeted when I walked into the store and found what I needed right away. I have been to many Walgreens stores and this store seemed to be smaller than the other ones I have been to and also there were quite a few shelves with nothing on them. The store was pretty clean. It's always a happy day when you're visiting Walgreen's! Generally, it's a saunter in for a quick beverage or something I need on the way home. They've got a good selection of need-it items and novelty items! Rarely do I leave without laughing out loud at something in the store and we all can appreciate the fact that they have themed items for every holiday from the Giant stuffed valentine's dog to, I'm sure, cards for Arbor day. Clerk's are friendly and will outright tell you they don't make enough to care that much about things, but thus far they've cared enough to help my experiences be pleasant ones! read more

This might be the absolute worst Walgreens pharmacy in existence. The pharmacists and pharmacy technicians literally eat and drink openly, on work spaces behind the counter where medications are being filled. I can't even begin to explain how bad this is. On a superficial level it's gross, whatever. It's also *~incredibly dangerous~* and turns the pharmacy into an asinine circus. Have these people heard of food allergies?? Surely they must fill some Epipens and know about anaphylaxis. This wasn't a one off thing either, I witnessed the employees eating probably dozens of times. Maybe this is a common, acceptable practice but I've never seen it at any other pharmacy. I've witnessed some other questionable behavior, but again nothing as consistent as the eating. Once I was getting a prescription and ran into a friend, also waiting. It's a good thing we were there at the same time, because he noticed one of my medications was in his bag. We were able to trade back but only out of luck. I shudder to think of how many times this happens to other patrons. The regular store employees are great!!!! read more

Very slow service at the pharmacy at the Walgreens on the Coralville Strip. Pharmacy techs are rude. Tried the Walgreens on 965 and even worse. Could not believe how rude they are. I got my reciept and completed the survey online. Have not heard a thing. Hyvee is way better for prescription drugs. If you need something like drinks or convenience items, this place beats a gas station, but stay away for medication. read more

Worst pharmacy in Iowa City. Refills for my prescription are always 4 hours+ when the Walgreens on the other side of town can fill the same thing in 30 minutes. My friend and I went to this Walgreens today to get a flu shot. Before going we called to make sure they had some in stock as the Walgreens in North Liberty was out. When calling an associate named Cate answered and asked what we needed and I asked if they had flu shots. She replies with Um that's a question for the pharmacy I'll just transfer you. Next thing we know we're on hold for two minutes and Cate comes back as if we never talked asking what we need and introducing herself. When I explain that we need to be transferred to the pharmacy she hangs up. Extremely rude and poor customer service. We end up coming here and going straight to the pharmacy and are greeted by very nice people who took care of everything we needed. This review could have easily been 5 stars if it weren't for Cate. That being said if you have any medical questions or need immunizations, the staff in the pharmacy is more than competent! read more

The shelves are rarely restocked, and the products they do offer are far inferior compared to most other stores.

Horrible customer service. The pharmacist today made a pouty, resentful face when she learned that she had to fill an order for my wife and toddler (for his ear infection). Walgreen's will routinely call to say a prescription has been filled, only for it not to be filled when we show up (with toddler in tow). They seem to resent having to do basic pharmacy interactions, and the pharmacy is often out of basic supplies. Extremely long waiting times, particularly at peak hours in the drive thru. We've decided to take our pharmacy business to the CVS in downtown Iowa City, even though it will take us much out of our way. read more

Convenience is king in IC/Coralville and that is the only reason why the pharmacy staff at this location have jobs. I can't even give a 1 star because I have personally seen customers have way worst experiences than I have. They take too long, their staff is too rude and they waste too much time on instructions (not necessarily a bad thing, but when I have already waited for an hour, I don't feel like listening to anyone condescendingly explain how to take the medication I've been taking for months). The CVS on Muscatine Ave, the one at Old Cap and the local, small town spots should be the number 1,2,3,...etc. choices for anyone who values their time. read more

I just reported the pharmacy to the Iowa Board of Pharmacy. They refused to provide one table to me today (Sunday) until I could get my physician to renew the prescription tomorrow (Monday). I have been on the medication for several months and my physician just increased the dosage to 2 tablets per day 2 days ago. I was told, when I phoned in the prescription, that it would be ready that day (Friday). Since I was out of town Friday and Saturday, I attempted to pick it up today and was denied. I called the pharmacist after I'd been refused and told him I was going to report this incident to the Iowa Board of Pharmacy and he said, "Go ahead. That is your right." I will be discontinuing my business with them. read more

Very convenient location. Very cleanly. I was in from out of town and had forgotten some toiletries. I went to this location around 11:45pm and the woman working as cashier that night was extremely friendly and helpful. I was very pleased with the service at this Walgreens. read more

Was supposed to pick up some medication--gave me three of the same bottles and flavored them the same way without telling me they were giving me three and without offering different flavors for each bottle. This is the most horrible pharmacy that I have ever worked with. They do not have refills ready by the designated pick up time, even when you call and schedule the refill pickup days in advance. When they fail to meet the designated pick up time, they give a lot of attitude, and never a single apology. Additionally, they do not call you in advance to let you know that they are going to fail to meet the scheduled pickup time. Words do not adequately describe how slow, rude, and incompetent the staff are at this pharmacy. Show some respect for your time, unlike this pharmacy, and go elsewhere. read more
