I took my car in because my oil light came on. The guy told me my oil filter housing assembly was cracked and it would be $1500. I had my car towed to my mechanic in Wylie and they did the same job for $600. I will never take my car there again. Not even for an inspection or an oil change. I went in today for an oil change and I was advised that I needed to get my front brakes replaced. They said they were metal on metal. I decided to check out another brake place since me $600 for the front and $600 for the rear. I decided to check out brakes plus to see how much they charged. Brakes plus said $600 for all 4! Once at brakes plus, they informed that that my front brakes were eight out of 10 and did not need to be replaced!! Be careful with Kwik car Murphy, they are dishonest!! read more

NOT TO BE TRUSTED I took my Mazda for an oil change and for state inspection. I was taken aside to be told that there is oil leak from a faulty gasket that needs to be replaced. Also to replace the spark plugs and to change the air filter. I was surprised since I park the car in the garage and there is no oil leak whatsoever and the air filter was recently changed. On top of that they failed my state inspection due to "worn rear tires". I took my car to another shop for a second opinion. Not only did my car pass the inspection without any problems, but I was told there was no oil leaks whatsoever and my spark plugs and air filter did not need replacing. This kind of lies for unnecessary upselling made me NOT TRUST THIS SHOP AT ALL. read more

The team at this Kwik Kar location provided great service. I came in to get my brake pads replaced and they also recommended I get new tires as my thread count is very low. They also provided a carwash after the work was done. The service and carwash were done in a timely manner. The cost of the repairs was fair and reasonable. I have a 10-year old Buick Enclave which has a lot of miles put on it. One day while I was out and about, my battery somehow did not really want to start easily. I was in Plano, and I was not far from this shop. I called the shop, and a very polite young woman named Noelle explained to me that it might need a new battery, but they would be happy to look and see what the issue was. My poor Buick mustered up enough energy to get there and when I arrived, I was greeted by a very polite gentleman who promptly assisted me to the lounge. (I should mention that the bathrooms and floors were Buc-ee's clean to you. This is nearly never heard of at car garages.) After about an hour, they found some sort of recall that McKinney Buick failed to tell me about (never go there-- trust me, they are horrible). I was charged a fair price for the battery, and they handled the recall as well. Thank you Kwik Kar Murphy. 10/10 service. I will be back! read more

I went to the Kwik Kar Lube murphy location to get my regular oil change on my Lexus IS. The rep informed me that my back rotors and pads were bad and recommend changing them because they have been making a squeaking sound when I reverse. I had them change it, for a total of about $540. I took it home after they were finished. The next day I noticed it was still squeaking so maybe it just needed some time. Two weeks goes by and it still squeaks. I took it back and the manager told me, "our fault, our guys put in the basic package and we will replace it with elite edition since the car is a F-sport edition". They did that but it took the whole day for them to do it bc of supplies was in back-order. Took it home after it was finished and still noticed it the next day. So I took it back In and they were closed on a random Tuesday so I took it to the sister location in sasche and the mechanic told me that Murphy location put in the basic package and never put in the "elite" package as they said they would. I took it back today (4/15) and explain what has been happening and I just want my full refund back to take to another shop. The new guy came out and said "we just changed ownership yesterday and we can't give you a full refund??" Wow, out of nowhere you got new ownership?? He said I will take care of the breaks no problem. He called me later and said it was actually my front break pad and rotors that were messed up. I come back to check and it was some old rusty rotors that was in my front tires now. I'm not going to point fingers and accuse them of "'maybe changing out my front rotors to some bad ones" so they can get out of paying me but they wanted an extra $350 just to change my front rotors and pads now. Why didn't they catch this the first time and said it was my front that was causing the problem all this time? Out of nowhere it's my front? You can't trust these guys. They lost my business. I will be sharing my experience with Facebook and other social platform I have, and asking my friends to share it publicly. I'm a very patient guy, but this rub me the wrong way. I been back and forth, wasting my time and gas to get this issue fixed. AVOID MURPHY LOCATION!!! I tried calling their corporate number and it lead me to another shop that has corporate number listed as their for some reason. I used to go here quite often for wash. I still go for things like oil change which I will continue ton do. But if you want a good car wash I would go somewhere else. I go for convenience. The windows are NEVER clean and the vacuum as shown in the pic is never good. And they seem to get angry if you say something. Its gotten progressively worse and I guess I'll just get the oil change and the free wash. But I can't pay for this anymore. Y'all lost me for the wash after this. Absolutely terrible job, had to send it back to get the inside vacuumed as they didn't do it the first time and when it came back it was still done half ass. Outside was not clean well either. Asked to speak to manager and a 18 year old kid comes out; I didn't waste my time to explain the issue to him as it was very apparent by looking at my truck. This place is so focused on trying to find additional items to charge you for that they are sloppy with the basics. I just finished cleaning the oil drips in my garage because they did not bother wiping off the underside of the oil pan. Additionally, they broke a part of the mass air flow sensor housing because they are moving too quickly in an attempt to find things that they can add to your visit. The final straw was reinstalling the air filter myself and reconnecting the broken sensor connector while the manager watched, only for him to take the position that they did not have anything to do with it. It was obvious that the worker pulled the wire too hard and broke it, but when the manager cannot even assume any responsibility or apologize it just shows that the customer is not their priority. read more

Convenient spot for a wash, but the quality has gone steadily downhill over the years. I took my jeep today and asked for the gold wash. Both the silver and gold include an interior wipe down and vacuum plus exterior dry. They barely wiped over the dash, didn't touch the console area, and didn't vacuum the cargo at all. read more

I was replacing my intake air filter and dropped a hose clamp. The Audi's have a shroud over under the engine compartment and the clamp landed there. I could see it but could not reach it. I took the car to these guys and even though they were busy, they put my car in the bay and within an hour they had the clamp removed from the engine compartment and back on my intake. read more

This place used to be alright. Today I went in for a routine oil change which was fine until they forgot about my car sometime between the oil change and the car wash. It took an hour on an otherwise slow day. Worse than the wait, no one got into my car to drive it forward right after it went through the automatic car wash. I had to do it myself before the truck behind me in the wash hit it. Nobody was paying attention even after I just drove off. Don't waste your time with Kwik Kar. I won't be back. read more

Very cold outside, but the service was very warm. My brake pads needed changing, brake fluid needed flushing, oil needed to be changed, inspection needed to be done, and vehicle needed to be washed. All was done in under an hour!! Great service and great job!! read more

The Kwik Kar Wash service has been good & bad - today they are absolutely TERRIBLE. Twice I've paid for the $20 "Gold" service - which includes cleaning glass inside and out , wipe down dash and tire cleaning & dressing. NADA. After wiping down the car and door jabs, they only cleaned the passenger side exterior glass (as a good show for those watching from the waiting area?). They used the same cloth from wiping down the car on those passenger windows. At no time did they wipe down the dash or clean any of the interior glass. So, I'm going to clean my car myself and I will not be returning to Kwik Kar Wash. read more

The owner is a not so well known fiction writer AKA confabulator extraordinary. Now on to the story. Yes I have had to update this three times due to his creative imagination. Went to Kwik Kar location in Murphy because it is close to my house. They offer a platinum car wash that includes cleaning car mats. Unfortunately, the workers do not always take the time to unfasten or refasten floor mats before and after cleaning. After paying the $35 for the wash I go to my truck and see they did not do the rear mats and when I get the driver side find they have lost my retaining device on mat. I go to manager Kristen and she proceeds to investigate. After waiting an additional hour she tells me leave my name and number and she will contact me by end of business today or the next morning. I did not receive a call. I call the next morning and talk to acting manager Eddie and he says he will order a mat. I tell him I do not think that is necessary and I can bring truck by facility for him to take a picture of the mat with missing part. When I get their he says he is on phone with Kristen who is at church from previous day and she says "their is nothing they will do". Guess her church teaches a little differently than mine. Basically, this business does not care about the customer, if they damage, or you leave establishment with your vehicle intact. Go somewhere else that cares about customers. Went on Amazon and paid $8.99 for 4 retaining devices. PS, I get at email from owner giving me all these excuses, not enough workers, etc... and then proceeds to "ban" me because I leave reviews. Like I want to go back and lose more of my vehicle. He leaves responses to my post saying I am yelling and all kinds of complete and utter bologna. Remember, acting manager Eddie was happy for me to come back and take a pic of lost part. Maybe he should own business. If you read this Eddie, it's good idea. Current owner and manager Kristen are sad excuses for business professionals. To owner and Kristen, take care of customers and they take care of you.
