She took in the first car for an inspection and oil change; then came home and took in our other car in for an inspection. Our review in summary: These guys are the Real Deal. I'm happy to say these great Yelp reviews here are spot on. Each visit today was so fast...I couldn't believe how quickly she came home. My girlfriend said they were very nice and very efficient. AND...they did not try to up-sell her anything. (Unlike some other Kwik Kar owners who run their stores in a way that you can never get out of there until you've taken the time to listen to their up-sell pitch.) I had been going to a different Kwik Kar for years...and they were fine...but sometimes kinda slow...(a few times REALLY slow), always a different person in-charge, and frequent up-sell attempts. Got my brakes changed here yesterday, picked it up this morning and there's oil stains, oil fingerprints all over the leather and car interior, including scratches on the arm rest. Took my car to Kwik Kar Marsh and I'm glad I did. The guys there were very quick with my oil changed and the price was reasonable for the synthetic oil recommended for my car. I was sure that I would be waiting there for over 30 mins but I was in and out. Kwik Kar Marsh has a very cool staff and the cleanest shop I've ever been to. Love them! I am by nature very cautious of mechanics and the whole process of car repair. However, these guys are very genuine and fair. I actually attended one of their (free) Hood Raiders sessions where they explain basic car maintenance to a group of clueless drivers (like me!). This was totally free and they did this on a Sunday. That was very nice of them and I appreciated the time they took to bring me into their world of car maintenance. More recently I had to get some help with my car that basically died. Clarence (the manager) was very understanding of my situation. He did a thorough assessment of what was wrong and I did not feel at any point like he was trying to sell me something. So I just want to start off by saying I have been to this location before and received stellar service. I'm not quite sure what happened this time however. It took at least 10 minutes before anyone even came to the front desk a few other people were waiting before me so I just assumed it was busy. However I could hear and see some of the employees hanging out and messing around. I came in for an oil change and a diagnostic analysis and about 45 mins later I was presented with an invoice with an estimate for almost $900. I was told about the financing option which was nice but after completing my application and being approved I figured I'd be on my way soon seeing as how the oil change was complete. After a while I began to get restless and decided just to look out and see if anyone was actually working on my car and to my horror I saw the mechanic who was supposed to be working on my car had been in the office eating and hanging out. Now I'm looking around and everyone who was here when I arrived are gone and people have come, had their cars serviced and gone and I'm still waiting with no updates. So not only do I feel like my day has been wasted but no one ever came by to update me about anything. I'm very disappointed at how terrible the service was this time around but hopefully it was just a one time thing but I'm not sure that I'll be back. I work hard for my money and my time is valuable so maybe next time a little sense of urgency and customer service would be nice I know I would have appreciated it. read more

I normally don't leave reviews for businesses other than restaurants or cafes but I had a great experience here so I decided I would. I am new to DFW area and I was looking for a place for state inspection so I searched on yelp when I came across to this one. They offer $5 off for inspection which caught my eyes, not to mention all these great reviews. I had to drive a bit from where I live but it was kind of on the way to where I was going so it wasn't too bad and I'm glad I drove here to get the inspection done here. It was pretty quick and the employees were kind. As for inspection, it was supposed to be $25.50 (safety inspection fee $7 and emissions test fee $18.50) but I used the coupon here on yelp and only paid $20.50 :) read more

Very friendly, honest, and great customer service! The maintenance department at the Honda dealership said I needed to do some very expensive maintenance that I had never heard of before. I decided to get a second opinion and a quote from Kwik Kar. They took the time to look at my car and told me that particular maintenance issue was not necessary for me to do. Must say that overall this place is a 5 star! Would like to thank Austin, Clarence, Terrence, and the tow company for assisting me in my car needs. Had my car towed to this location from being stranded on the side of the road. With it being Labor Day weekend, there was not much they could do when my car arrived. Austin greeted me with a big smile and asked what he could do to help. With that being said, the story goes on to my car breaking down not once but twice. Clarence came to pick my car and my up and had it towed back to the shop which at that point service was still on point. Everything I needed was done in a moments notice by each staff member that assisted me. At the end of this process, I ended with Austin and that great smile. The store is extremely clean, service is outstanding and the sitting area is pretty comfortable. So I went today around 11:45am. All the spots had cars already in them so I just pulled into the 3rd spot. I did what the sign said and waited for an attendee. No one came but I look up and a guy was just staring at me. So I opened the door and asked if I needed to pull up and he said you can come over here. So I moved my car to the 2nd spot. I opened my door and he just stood there. Didn't say a word. No hello. How can I help you? Just nothing but silence. I was like,okay. I said I think I need an oil change. He hands me a clipboard and said fill this out and he walked away. I was going to fill it out but his energy was too off for me to trust them with my car. I called him back over and handed him the clipboard and said no thank you I have changed my mind and I drove off. I went here for oil change and tire rotation. I was very clear to the attendant that I wanted tire rotation and he said no problem. I followed up by stating I was coming to them because the other place I have gone previously couldn't rotate my tires. Jumping forward to end of story, no tires rotated. To top off, the guy who said no problem was the manager. This is not good customer service and I for one will vote with my $ and go somewhere Elise in the future. UPDATE: When I drove up, I was very specific about my expectations. And the attendant said no problem and nothing was said about a 1.5 hours wait. Brought in my Volvo in for oil change and the mechanic show me the power steering was muddy and need to be flush. The flush is $99, reasonable price. Anyway, after everything was done, I stopped by to get some gas and popped open the hood just to make sure everything was in working order. Oil was fine, but power steering was still brown. I spoke to Clarence and he said to bring the car back in. He said the machine that does the flush isn't functioning properly. He reflushed the fluid. Still a little brown, but much better than before. Check your fluid before driving away is my advice to everyone going here. read more

I have been a customer at this location for over three years now and I have given up on them. I had one employee try to rip me off on telling me I needed the bulbs on my third brake light replaced on my Ford Expedition and I declined the service since I could perform the job myself. I decided to check for myself and I went to Autozone right after and had a employee stand behind my Expedition while I hit the brake lights and they were all in perfect working condition. I let it go but a few months later I went back for an inspection and I arrived 20 minutes prior to their closing time and was turned away. I could understand if I had arrived 5 minutes prior and being turned away but it wasnt and it was just for an inspection. Today made me realize I need to find another place when I arrived at 3:37 pm to see they were closed already on a Saturday and their website business hours show they close at 5:00 pm. read more

Most times someone actually comes out to greet me before I even get out of my car. Their waiting area is immaculate. Clean bathrooms and free drinks and snacks. The shop is probably good for any routine service, but not so great at diagnosing the problems. I took my car to the Kwik Kar Marsh as it rides very harsh. The mechanics told me that I need new shock absorbers. I replaced the shock absorbers but the problem persisted. The mechanics then insisted tire tread pattern was the problem. I did not fully believe the explanation since the Michelin Premier a/s tires have very good reviews on Tirerack. Also, I have had the tires for 3 months and they haven't given me any trouble until recently. Had the tire tread been the problem, they should have given me trouble from day 1. But I still took the car to the tire shop for a complete check. The tire shop found a big bubble in the tire. I couldn't believe that the mechanics at the Kwik Kar Marsh missed such an apparent issue even though they lifted the car, removed the wheels and replaced the shock absorbers. It could be unsafe for me to drive the car with a bubble in the tire had I not taken the car for a second check. On the up side, the shop is clean and things look well organized. However, the diagnosis in this occasion missed. 6/4 Thanks for your feedback Ryan. I agree that bubbles in the tire can be hard to find with the wheels on. However, the wheels were taken off during the repair. A careful visual check would more than likely reveal the issue. And spinning the tires would almost certainly reveal the problem. During the diagnosis, tires were not included in the process of elimination. Ramon and I did look at the tires. But that was not an inspection. Ramon was showing me the tread pattern. And we looked at one tire only. I still see many good signs of the shop. It is very clean and well organized. The job was done on time. The staffs were friendly as well. But for this particular occasion, the shop missed something. Therefore I upgrade the review to 3 stars. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! I came to this Kwik kar yesterday to have my alternator replaced. After their repair, which was already over priced i might add, I now have squeaky belts due to a loose tension pulley. They tried to tell me the issue was unrelated, but that's a lie. They loosened my belts to replace the alternator. There for, it is related. Upon bringing my car back to have them fix their mistake, I was told they would take no accountability and wanted to repair it for another $355. The manager argued with me, and the owner refused to speak to me. I should also mention during this entire interaction, there was no yelling, or cussing, or causing a scene. I was calm and collected. Just trying to have my car repaired the way it should have been in the first place. The manager then walked out, pulled my car out front, and I was told they refused to assist me and repair their mistake. That is just god awful business. Not to mention remarkably poor service. If you use this Kwik kar, all I can say is good luck! The staff was friendly, but friendly service does not make up for a lack of ability to fix a car. Or the ridiculous price they will charge you to fix their mistakes. I should also mention, I was going to have to return to this shop today no matter what, as I paid for a tire rotation that they never completed. Just shows their lack of attention to detail. Not what you want in a repair shop I'd say UPDATE: Thank you for responding. However, an issue occurring to a belt directly attached to the repaired part, malfunctioning within hours of the repair, is 100% your business' responsibility to repair. I was asked if I wanted to speak to the owner, and I said yes. The following action taken was my car being pulled up front, me being handed my keys, and being told there was nothing more your business would do. This unacceptable. In order to replace an alternator on a Honda Accord Crosstour, direct pressure is required to be placed on the belt tensioner to loosen the belt so the alternator can be removed and replaced. The belt tensioner is what was broken. I will also add, no test drive was performed on the vehicle after repair. The issue didn't occur weeks later to an unrelated part, it happened within 10 miles of leaving your shop, to a directly related component. read more
