Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience I brought my son's first car here--a major milestone for him--to have the check engine light evaluated. I specifically requested a phone call before any work was done so I could approve the cost, as my son would ultimately be responsible for handling it. However, when I checked on the vehicle later, I was told the work had already been completed without any prior communication or approval, and I was handed a bill for $342. Despite my frustration, I paid the amount to avoid further conflict. Less than two weeks later, the same warning light came back on. I returned to the shop and was told I would be charged another $75 evaluation fee. After explaining the situation, they agreed to recheck the vehicle at no cost. I later received a call stating that the original issue required more work--this time quoting $250. I spoke with Steven Schuler, who was unfortunately dismissive, combative, and unprofessional throughout the conversation. He spoke in circles, avoided addressing my concerns directly, and refused to escalate the issue or connect me with anyone else in a supervisory role. Both visits left me feeling misled and taken advantage of. As a single mother trying to guide my son through his first car ownership experience, this was extremely discouraging. I share this so others can make informed decisions--please use caution when considering this shop. read more

Zero stars I've gone here twice now with coupons and THEY DO NOT EVER ACCEPT COUPONS. If they do, they've avoided taking mine twice now. I'll not be coming back here again. Not to mention that at 9am on a Saturday morning they had a 1.5hr delay. Saw about 3 people come in/out in that time. All I wanted was an oil change. Destroyed my morning. Not worth it. Don't go. Pay a higher price for the time you save and the grief you'll feel the rest of the day. read more

All I needed was a state inspection. What I received was my OBDII port being yanked out from under the dash, truck returned with wires hanging on my floor board. They state that the port is not functioning, but I witnessed it be hooked up to and used successfully by a Discount Tire just a couple of weeks ago. All of this after being told it would only take 25-30 minutes to get done...it took over an hour for my truck to be returned with no service completed. This place is a waste of your time and money. read more

Although, the service is decent, the staff is so unaccommodating. The location advertises being a auto repair and service shop, but lack the service lacks neighborly feeling . I spent $340 dollars on services and presented $20 off coupon and the representative stated he was unable to honor- stating it as expired. I was appalled at the fact the he didn't even attempt to at least discount the $10 as a way of taking care of the customer. I'll probably just stick to the dealership moving forward. read more

Went out of my way to Kwik Kar because I got emailed a $20 discount. This Kwik Kar does not honor any discount codes; I even pulled a $15 off of Kwik Kar's website. Oh? I nearly forgot to mention I had to sit for an HOUR in a building that had no AC and they STILL did not care to provide ANY discount. I was sweating just sitting there! (It's Summer in Texas, maybe get your AC serviced) Where can I leave a 0/5 star?! Do not go to this location!! Also the professional mechanic that was working on my truck confused it for a different model which is concerning. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR REPAIRS!!! SCAM!!! TRUE SHADETREE MECHANICES!!! I took my son's car in because there was a oil pressure light on and the oil was low. They first wanted to flush it and change oil- fine! then they came back and said there was a oil leak and if they fixed that the issue was be fixed. They kept the car over a week and i paid $600 for the repairs. About 3 weeks later the exact same issue occured so I took it back. They made me wait another week before looking at it and now saying that the "same" issues required different repairs that would cost $900!!! They refused to accept they misdiagnosed the issue to begin with and refused to negotiate the repairs. Apparently they have very inexperienced mechanics or uncertified mechanics making repairs....I had to get the car towed to another shop and I am still out of the $600 I paid for the repairs!!! read more

I had a personal issue and came to Kwik Kar for some help and was met with the most amazing people I've ever encountered. Got a Kwik Kar coupon in the mail for a few bucks off an oil change. Went to the closest Kwik Kar to my house in Aubrey. Woman at the desk said the coupon wasn't any good. It's for a different location. Ok, I kinda get that given these are franchises. I then pulled up the KwikKar.com website for the online coupon. Nope. That coupon isn't good either because the franchise doesn't take them. Huh? What coupon do you take? She showed me the mailer they send out. Great, can I use that one? Nope this is the only one we have. Ok, I'm it going to take it with me. You can keep it. Sorry, can't use it. Bye. Save yourself the head ache and drive west 1.4 miles to the new Jiffy Lube. This place from top to bottom is a hell hole. As if it weren't bad enough that I was charged $200 for an alignment on my vehicle, the staff from the manager on down to the young, heavy set girl who runs the lobby is flat out rude, obnoxious, and unprofessional. I went to this place after calling ahead of my arrival in regard to an alignment - I was asked about the make and model of my vehicle, etc. I was told that the alignment would cost $79.99. Halfway through the job, I guess my 2007 Jeep was so nice, that these creeps decided to tell me that my alignment would cost $200 at the behest of the manager. Bait and switch, much? Then, the girl in the lobby - a heavy set girl in her 30's, named Valerie - was blatantly over-the-top with her rudeness. When I first arrived, as soon as I walked in the lobby, she raises her voice and tells me I need to move my vehicle, because the area that I parked in was for employees only. No greeting, or anything, just starts going off on me. I explained to her that not only did her coworkers tell me to park where I had parked, but they were the ones that directed me into the spot as I backed into the space. Needless to say, I immediately knew that Valerie had issues. Later, she yelled at a group of customers thinking they didn't speak English, when after she finished behaving like as if she had zero home-training, the group of people responded to her with perfectly good English. If you are in the area, pass Kwik Kar of Paloma Creek by, and continue east to Integrity Car Care-Tire Pros at 26779 E, HWY 380, 76227. They are literally minutes apart, and as my photos below clearly show, you can get a standard four-wheel alignment for $50, minus the 150-dollar 'Just because We feel like being lowlife, classless A**holes' Tax. read more

I would rate zero if I could. They put engine flush in and left it in. Car smoked until I went to their competition and had it changed again. They would not make good on the horrible job they did. Manager Steven would not replace the oil. After the competition changed the oil the car was back to normal. I would not trust this place to do anything. Avoid at all cost. Very unprofessional. Just to be clear, I have been an aircraft mechanic for over 50 years and know what I'm talking about. All I wanted was for them to change the oil to remove the flush they left in my engine. The so called manager expert Steven refused to make good on their mistake. Piss poor customer relations. I will be contacting corporate office. Aug 30 for State Inspection. There ~1400, was told it would be about an hour. I asked, "an hour is when I'll be done and out? Or when they'll get to my car?" The girl at the counter said, "an hour before they get to you". I said, "so about an hour and half before I'm done". She said, "the inspection only takes about 15 or 20 minutes". to which I said,"understood, that's why I said 'about an hour and a half". Went OUTSIDE to a bench in front of the store and sat. No one else near me, I'm about 7 feet from the door, wind is blowing from the door to me. There a few minutes when a guy wearing a mask in the driver seat of a vehicle pulls up and asks if I have a mask. I said, "yeah". He said, "you need to wear it here". I assured him I did not need to sitting outside a store. He nodded his head toward the door and said, "there's a sign masks are required on the premises". I turned and looked at the sign which clearly states masks are required "inside the store" (see photo). I said there's no State requirement to wear a mask outside the store. The guy drove around the side of the building, never identified himself as an employee. Couple of minutes later a guy pokes his head out of the bay and asks what car I'm driving. I named the vehicle and he walked back in the bay. A moment later a guy walks up with my keys, holds them out and says, "We're taking you out of line". I take the keys and as he's walking off I said, "what does that mean?" He says I can leave because I won't wear a mask. I then realize it's the same guy who was sitting in the vehicle interrogating me about the mask. I said again that I'm not required to wear a mask outside since I can social distance. I handed the keys back to him and said I'll wait, as I was reaching in my lap for my mask. He again nodded toward the door and said, "I hate wearing a mask but it's required. I'm not the owner but it's required on the property as posted". I said, "that's not what's posted and you should have identified yourself when you demanded I wear a mask. I don't hate wearing a mask, it's necessary to stay safe. If you don't want to wear a damn mask that's up to you." He held out my keys and said, "you can go ahead and leave. I won't be cussed at. Masks are required as posted." I said again it's not posted and, "I wasn't cussing at you I said "'damned masks'". He was insistent in his stupidity. I asked for the owner's number which he said he couldn't give me but got me his (Manger) business card. When he brought it out he said he could put MY number on the incident report, "which I WILL be filling out". Oh NO! Don't fill out an Incident Report!, I left then called back and gave the girl at the front desk my number to give to Steven Shuler (masked Manager) and asked for a call back today from the Owner. I'm sure out of spite that's not happening. Steven, You Are Wrong. Either misinformed, overzealous, or simply don't understand what's expected. at one point while Steven Schuler was talking to me in person outside the store he said, "this isn't Walmart." Response from the owner 2 days ago Mr May. After reviewing our video and taking statements from employees and customers that witnessed your interaction with our staff, it is safe to say your above statement is highly skewed and inaccurate. You were asked to leave our premises after we politely asked you to put on your mask multiple times. You ignored our requests and refused to wear your mask. It is true you were seated outside, however the bench is less than 5 feet to the side of our front door. Executive Order GA-29 clearly states you should be wearing a mask in this scenario as customers were coming in and out of our lobby during the entire time you were on our property. When our manager asked you to leave, you then used profanity towards him which was witnessed and corroborated by a mother and young child. Please refer to Executive Order GA-29 to clear up any confusion you might have in regards to mask requirements. https://open.texas.gov/uploads/files/organization/opentexas/EO-GA-29-use-of-face-coverings-during-COVID-19-IMAGE-07-02-2020.pdf UPDATE: owner responded Sep 1 via Google Review, he couldn't be bothered to call. He has other responses here and on BBB where he says he interviewed everyone and looked at video. He never finds fault with his employees. Given your reviews and the number of people citing poor customer service it's safe to say you're review of videos is biased and the word of your employees, especially the manager, can't be trusted. The EO requires masks outdoors, "wherever it is not feasible to maintain six feet of social distancing from another person not in the same household." Doesn't apply to this situation. As for your witnesses, your manager has pulled that out of his sack of lies. As I walked by the woman and her son she said, "you shouldn't have to leave". I already wrote that I cussed so that's not new info you found, but I wrote exactly what I said, I have my own body cam a read more

They started really well: doing thorough work in reasonable time. We were happy. Then after some time, we started to have to take our cars back for the same problem , sometimes three times for the same issue. And also, they started leaving our cars with grease stains on the interior, and other times with cigarette smoke smell. It seems like they took our business for granted, and they cared less and less with doing a great job on our cars. It turns out we're not the only ones. They start off great, and earn your business with the first four visits, and then drop off. My car still, after a few weeks of trying to get the grease stains off of the carpet still looks like it's owner is a mechanic. I gave up on Kwik Kar. More like slow car ... cheap service, high price. read more

Not recommended. I had my car there for a simple oil change. I went from Kwik Kar to my home that is 1.5 miles away. Later I noticed oil leaking from the back of my car, all over the driveway. Obviously, oil was spilled on my car. I took the car in the next day and the manager claimed that I must have hit something (in 1.5 miles with no recollection of hitting anything after I was just at a place that has oil everywhere - very likely). The manager was incredibly rude and unhelpful. In addition to that I paid twice as much for this oil change. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE. This should be a no-star review. On top of all the extra overpriced services they push on to the customers, they schedule oil change services WAAAY ahead of your respective vehicles service interval. Example, our Mazda Oil Change interval is set at 7,500. They'll schedule/remind on the oil change sticker at 3,000. Always consult your manual before going to places like this. I came here a while ago for an oil change on my Infiniti G37, and ended up paying over $600+ for things i apparently needed. which i was fine with. A few days later though, my engine would turn off and act weird, and my engine light came on. I brought my car back and told them what was wrong and they tried to fix it, they did... for about 20 minutes before my service engine light came back on and my car started acting weird again. i brought it back too many times (more than 6 trips) where i dropped it off in the morning, and had to wait a couple days to a week to get it back. Having a job and having to wait a long time to get your transportation is ridiculous in itself. I had eventually gave up on going because nothing was being fixed. I took it to a REAL place to learn that my car was now unsafe to drive. I took it as maybe the car is just bad, I traded it in for a new car. I got my oil changed there with my NEW CAR about a week ago. after the mechanic tried to tell me i needed around 3 other things adding up to over 500$ , i passed on the offer as it is a brand new car and just got my oil changed. since then my AC isnt working, my car is leaking, upon other things. I am certain now that this business is not trustworthy or trained correctly. I would not recommend this place to anyone because something shady is 100% going on. I have been bringing all my vehicles to this location of KWIK KAR for a decade. But this last time I ended up paying over $600+ for them to brake my truck in a way that was not broke when I brought it in. I had 10 years worth of good experiences with this location. But only took 1 exceptionally bad experience for me to no longer trust them nor recommend them to friends or family. Dishonest about wait times, and Kwik Car is a misnomer for this business. When I called I was told time for an alignment was 45minutes to an hour total at this time so I went directly there. When I arrived, I confirmed my car should be finished in about 45 minutes. After an hour I looked out the window and it appeared my car may not yet have been worked on so I asked how much longer. The desk clerk was gone a few minutes and came back and told me they were just starting on my car, so it should be done in about 45 minutes. At this point they finally had my car elevated. I left without the getting the alignment since I had another appointment.
