There's nothing to dislike about La Rose!…read more We always stop here when we're in Milton. Old-school Italian market carrying imported Italian comestibles, excellent bakery, deli - and a trailer load of fine imported candies, chocolate, cookies and savories. They have good fruit and vegetables too. We stop here for two things in particular - their Ontario-renowned-famous focaccia and their in-house made sausages (fresh). It takes a lot of self-control not to go loco here and bust the budget. Staff working here are (VERY) polite, friendly and helpful!

Originally established to provide catering to local businesses, they easily get my vote as the best Covid-19 adaptation. Open still for catering throughout the week there are now offering "pizza" boxes on weekends that are PACKED with. Value and flavour! They easily feed 2-3 people and run from around 35-40$. They weekend pizza box price and contents are published every Monday evening, but are in limited supply and all I've seen, and ordered have sold out within an hour or so. Service was polite but a little too rushed. Parmesan wasn't offered for pasta, little touches like that were missing. This place is downstairs and has a nice Italian vibe. Also plenty of parking so don't worry about that. They start you with this amazing flower pot bread with 2 types of butter (herb & cinnamon). The bread is good on its own but definitely try it with both butters. I ordered the arancini balls and I will say they were ok. For a main through I had the sausage pepperonata, man this was really good. It comes out in this red pot with a lid, so cute! The pasta was cooked perfectly. I recommend if you like spicy order a side of the bomba sauce to go with it , it will take it to the next level. Overall, good food and service.
