You've got to check out this place if you love empanadas! When I first arrived, I was welcomed by the warm and friendly owners. There were so many flavours of empanadas and desserts to choose from. I chose the vegan spinach, shrimp and cheese, and spicy jerk chicken empanadas. I like that they included a legend so I knew which flavour was inside each shape. The quality of both the dough and fillings were high and all were so flavourful! I can't wait to try more!!! read more

Ordered 4 mini dozen empanadas: cheese & onion, spinach, chicken, and beef. They were for my kid's birthday party (Dora themed ). Gone in minutes! They were very authentic and had a home made taste to them but looked beautiful. The owner, Gabriela, is a kind and no nonsense Argentinian lady who took care of the order herself and ensured the best quality! At present time it is just a kitchen that does catering and takeout/delivery within certain distances so be prepared to take your order to go! read more

Call me biased, and I don't care, but these are the best empanadas bar none. The best dough, matched to even tastier fillings, carefully crafted and cooked. Fried or baked, they will leave you satisfied and craving for more again tomorrow and the day after. Excellent as a packed lunch or dinner, great for parties, the perfect accompaniment for outings, picnics and games. Pair them with a nice glass of Malbec or Torrontés... you are set. read more

History

Established in 2016.

KW Empanadas is the product of my many years of experience in the food business. Before I came to Canada, I managed my own family business; our store ('Pastas Marco') was very successful, not only due to the many hours of dedication and love we put behind it, but also because of the quality of our food! We have been living in the KW area since early 2001, and many of our close friends have already tried my empanadas and my desserts. They have -along with my family- been encouraging me to take the plunge and open my own store...so here we are!

Meet the Business Owner: Gabriela V.

Gabriela has been in the food business for over 25 years. She grew up watching her father bake the most exquisite cakes and other sweet treats; later on, she built her own -and very successful- pasta and bakery store with her parents and two brothers. The quality of the food Gabriela masterfully prepares represents her hard work, her impeccable taste and her unparalleled dedication. Try an empanada (or two), a slice of her cakes or one of her delightful 'alfajores' and you will be begging for seconds!
