I've been to a few vegan/vegetarian restaurants before, and while they've been alright, none of them have really blown me away, especially as someone who's used to enjoying meat. I finally made it there for lunch with my coworkers last week and was pleasantly surprised by how much we all enjoyed the food! From the pad Thai to the curry, the food was packed with flavour -- and I didn't even miss the meat! The soy meat and fried tofu in our dishes were delicious, and I definitely have my eye on the nasi goreng and peanut curry for next time! Service was great, food was fairly priced, and our food came out relatively quickly, which we appreciated. Though it may not look like much from the outside and it's not "fancy" by looks, this is definitely one of those hidden local gems that you must visit if you're in the Dundas/Hamilton area!

But the owner came by and we told our inability to eat eggs, any meats or even dairy. He was very honest and told us they make many dishes and soups with chicken stock for example. An EXTRA STAR for his honesty. He then assured he would make them vegetarian/vegan. Hot n Sour Soup - good soup. Perhaps a little less salt or soy sauce then we were used to, but adding a little did the trick. Cauliflower 65 - our first time trying this dish and it was amazing. So crispy, a bit spicy and came out piping hot. We could have eaten a whole kilo if we could. Vegan Manchurian Pakora with gravy - Fairly good dish. Good quantity and the pakoras could have been a bit crunchy Vegan Mixed Vegetables with Tofu in Hot Garlic Sauce - a very well made dish. Fantastic flavours, perfectly cooked and great veggies and tofu. The steamed rice was usual. Nice to have it with all the dishes. Good service and clean tables and very honest people - extra star just for that.

I ordered the factory dinner which is only $8.95. It comes with rice and fries with your choice of chicken, shawarma, gyro or souvlaki. You can choose a selection of different sauce flavours to go in the chicken. There are also many different pita options and rice platters to choose from as well. They even have a deal where they have a "pita of the day" for $7.25 and it comes with a drink too. The washroom and overall cleanliness of the restaurant were excellent as well. The interior is very cute here - the menu is handwritten on a chalkboard and they have stuffed animals on sale at the side. We came here at around 30 minutes before closing time so unfortunately we were only able to get takeout. There was plenty of available seating though and the restaurant was clean and tidy. We decided to order the cold noodles (liang pi) and the yo po noodles which came up to a total of $16. You get to play rock paper scissors with the cashier, and if you win you get 5% off your order. Portions were huge for the price and the food smelled so good! The noodles itself were quite chewy and carried the sauce well. I think both dishes were a tad too oily though, and it also tasted more sour than spicy. I probably won't order these dishes again, but I noticed they serve other interesting dishes on their menu like peking duck pork wraps and pork patties - I might just give it another try when I'm in the area!
