As soon as I sat in the car I knew this wasn't an great excuse she should have asked me to bring back the product and the receipt and should have honored an exchange or return. This is the least they got have done. I hate to write poor reviews just because of one staff did not know how to tackle a legit concern/issue. This could have been easily fixed by her asking me to bring back the product. I used this company and this specific store (#530) to ship out a package (this was on September 18th, 2020). I had paid a whopping $378 for all the shipping and duty fees.. which I had expected. The worker, Ben had said that everything is paid for and no additional shipping or duties would be charged as it was all paid in full on that day. Furthermore, Ben said that the recipient of the package would receive it on September 26th, 2020. To my surprise not only was the recipient charged additional duties, but the package arrived 3 months late. I understand that shipping may be delayed due to the pandemic, however it would have been nice to be informed of the changes. I had paid for expedited shipping for the recipient to receive this 3 months late. This package was full of essential non-perishable food, PPE, and clothing for a third world country. They needed these items asap which is why I expedited this order. After the 26th, I had contact UPS customer service to follow up with the status of my order as the tracking number was not providing me with any updates at all, it kept saying that it was shipped out but that the receiver and sender had "abandoned the package". When I contacted customer service all they had told me was that they cannot find my package or the invoice for the package and that they can give me a credit of $100..... a credit for $100 after 1. My package filled with over $1000 worth of items is nowhere to be found and 2. I paid almost $400 for expedited shipping. When the package finally arrived 3 months later I was shocked and embarrassed to hear from the recipient that they were asked to pay a few different fees (totalling 500 Canadian dollars). In addition, the package was first delivered to another part of the country because the postal code that Ben had inputted was incorrect - even though I provided the correct postal code at the store and the address is clearly labelled on the package. I am absolutely DISGUSTED at the courier service, customer service, and communication that this company provided. To this day I still have not heard back from the company about my concerns. I would NEVER recommend this company.. even for local deliveries, you get cheated out of your money and charged additional fees with no accountability from the company.

It's clean and staff are friendly. On site, they have a pharmacy, optometrist, Mobile Shop, and a Tim Hortons too! Lots of parking. Hopefully they will carry more T&T (Asian) products in the future! We have used Scooter to cater our parties twice prior to my wife's 40th birthday fiasco on July…read more19th, 2025 - once for my 50th back in June 2023 and again for a celebration of life for my wife's father last year. Each time we got the Greek souvlaki package with the meat and cheese tray platter additions and the baclava desert platters which are additions to the package. My 50th and the Celebration of Life went pretty smooth - but this last party, my wife's 40th was obviously double booked and what transpired is a reflection of this. We reserved him back in February - so ample time to prepare... on the day of the party we received an email at 1:15 stating that the meat and cheese platters (which were basically just cubed cheddar cheese and a couple packs of Costco assorted meat thrown in) was going to be late - it was a 2PM start... turns out they weren't too late and this wasn't really an issue. The issue was that Scooter has a corporate event going on doors down the street from us at Andrew's Scenic Acres and was an hour late showing up to serve the souvlaki - which after taking a survey from most of the people that were at the party - didn't even feed 70 people. Now he'll say that each person is allotted 1.7 sticks - but I didn't see any sticks that held .7 worth of meat - so any caterer worth their salt should be rounding up to 2 sticks per guest - this still wasn't the case - ALOT of people went hungry at this event - not to mention that AFTER arriving an hour late he asked 2 strangers not the people paying his bill, when he should start serving.... The 2 strangers were 2 friends who decided they would help by throwing on some speducci I had in the freezer to tide the guests over until he was there and set up... To add insult to injury - not only were their not enough souvlaki to go around - the rice and potatoes were dry and there wasn't even close to enough tzatziki to go around... can you imagine running out of tzatziki on an already short souvlaki dinner ??? There was enough baclava to feed - well I don't know how many people got baclava - it was gone well before I saw any deserts - so I can't actually say they were short but if he wasn't - then I mean they had to eat something right ? He forgot the pop and water/refreshments - so we had to run to the store to buy additional cases of water and then afterwards left his garbage wrapped up in plastic on our lawn which the raccoons got into and left a huge mess all over. It was a complete disaster. And then we go back to Scooter requesting $1000 off the $3500 bill for obvious reasons and he offers us the taxes - like he's claiming this disaster anyway.... My wife talked me into $750 less which is basically the taxes plus $250 - she's my wife so I caved - but shame on you Scooter - your corporate event destroyed her 40th birthday party and she still stood up for you - I made her promise we would never use you again though. So hope you and your ridiculous impending reply got what you wanted out of this... You will never get another job from us or anyone who asks us if we know a good cater - because we don't.
