Their cakes are just perfect. I've tried their bakery items too they are also pretty amazing but I go there for my custom made cakes.

Thumps up! We bought the chocolate caramel cake for my son's 100 days celebration. Definitely will go back and check out more sweet goodies!

What could be more enticing than a 6-foot-tall rack filled with Portuguese Egg Tarts.... TWO racks filled with Portuguese Egg Tarts. Yes, my peeps... TWO racks. I primarily come to La Rose for those trays filled with sweet, smooth gelatinous custard in light flaky puff pastry cups. Suh-weet! For me, the vanilla flavor and carmelized tops liken these tarts to creme brulee--not eggy at all. Even though you don't get the satisfaction of breaking through that solid caramel layer, this is a treat you can eat with your hands. Never overburnt. Always delicious. I know that I can never have just one. You can fill your own boxes to go. With 6 to a case, I'm a happy camper. I usually can't get them right out of the kitchen, so I reheat them when I get home. A couple of seconds in a microwave and we are good to go. La Rose Bakery does more than portuguese egg tarts, of course. They have a great meat and cheese section. If you're lucky, you might even come in when they have free samples. They also have hot and cold food ready to eat or for take-out, snacks and Italian desserts, your usual fruits and veggies, and tons of other European items. There's even a garden section for you greenthumbs. La Rose Italian Bakery is such a great establishment here in Milton. I hope it's not too much of a temptation for the folks coming out of the gym nextdoor... but it probably is. *Other faves: Biscotti, any hot pasta esp. the tortelinnis, imported cheeses!

We've heard a lot of good things about this bakery chain but have never actually visited before. I actually didn't even know we had one in Milton so the flyer was a great incentive to visit. The service: we came to visit on a Friday early afternoon around 1pm. Keep in mind that the coronavirus outbreak started today with all of the government extending spring break until April which might have explained why the bakery was so busy. There were probably 6 people in front of us and by the time we got served there were another 3 behind us. The owner told us that it's usually busy but it's never been this busy at this time of day and it's been non stop since 8 am (most likely due to current events). Though they were busy, they were still very attentive and patient which is nice because they have over 80 selection of breads and pastries to choose from. It's also great that they're open at 6am everyday so if you are headed somewhere you can pick up some freshly baked goods on the way. The food: there is so many breads and pastries to choose from. They have sweet and savoury options which is perfect for lunch or brunch. We picked up a pack of cross buns (which we were able to mix and match), a baguette, their olive loaf and a chocolate scone. Everything is freshly baked everyday and is delicious. I highly recommend visiting Since we were first time customers they gave us a delicious scone for free which was amazing especially warmed up. It was fresh from the oven when they gave it to us too. Also don't forget to pick up the loyalty card!

We arrived at Chudleighs on a gorgeous balmy Saturday with some friends and their kids. The parking…read morelot (which is basically just a grassy field) was quite packed so we were guided by an attendant to a convenient spot. The surrounding scenery was breathtaking with the escarpment overlooking the farm (which in itself is worth 2 stars). After paying our admission the confusion began. We came to pick apples but there were no clear directions as to which way to proceed. The attendants that were peppered about the farm seemed disengaged and not attentive to the myriad of guests that were aimlessly trying to figure out where to go. Finally making our way to a booth flanked by over 15 confused guests and one overwhelmed elderly woman we overheard the instructions for apple picking. The rest of our time touring the orchards was fine. On our way out we wanted to grab a bite to eat - little did we know, after we entered the line up there was a "cash only no credit" sign. There were no other plastic payment alternatives. Starved and frustrated we exited the line and made our way to the exit picking up a few jams and a mini apple pie box. Prices of the products were quite high - look to spend anywhere between $20-$50 if you are going to pick up any goodies. Our next visit at an apple orchard will be at a smaller more affordable farm.
