Had rhinoplasty…read moresurgery with Dr.John Farella (Plastic Surgeon) years ago and started getting debilitating sinus headaches for years afterward. Never had any such issues prior to the surgery. In addition to that I had several structural issues that were extremely noticable including a retracted nostril, a dent on one side of my nose, and another dent above that, all which were on one side of my nose. My tip had two bulbs on it, one on the left, one on the right. Horrific result. This time I went to NYC to a top surgeon to have it fixed. He ordered a CT scan and the results of it were scary. It showed my sinus cavity on the right side was completely black. Black, as in no structures could be seen within that side. The surgeon told me, he would do his best to correct the structural issues, but that given the complex nature of my sinus issues & CT scan result, I would need to have a second surgeon work on my sinus issues. For my revision surgery I had to have two doctors work to fix what they could. I learned after this surgery that Farella had butchered my internal structures. I had every issue you could imagine. Deviated septum, turbinate issues, and a few others that were all the cause of my terrible sinus headaches for years. Farella's website says he corrects anyone with these issues, from my experience I know that to be absolutely false, and in fact he caused these issues for me. After I saw the prominent surgeon in NYC the outward appearance was improved, but not able to be fixed. As far as my sinuses are concerned I have to deal with congestion and runny nose on a regular basis, they will never be the same again. It is one thing to make a minor mistake as a doctor, but it is an issue of character to cause permanent harm to your patients medically. To intentionally suture up your patient on the operating table knowing that you are leaving them with a deviated septum (that is very easy to see) and other issues, which he knows would cause pain to that patient at some point in the future. I wouldn't only avoid rhinoplasty with this Farella. Since the issue of character is the most disturbing part, I warn others to not choose this surgeon for any procedure.

Dr. Pisarenko was the third physician I had a consultation with in 2014. After years of putting it off, I finally booked in 2020. Dr. Pisarenko's mannerism, honesty, knowledge, and charm is what lead me to book with him. He's extremely personable and makes you feel comfortable and at ease. Him and his team have been by my side before and after my procedure. I'm currently 4 months post-op and still have open lines of communication with him. It was determined with her that I would be having a bilateral mastectomy and elected to have reconstruction using my own body tissue. Although there are many options for reconstruction, this seemed the best fit for me. I had only one obstacle. I had become very thin at the time. The stress of life and this new medical challenge had gotten to me, and I dropped weight rapidly. So, could I find a great reconstruction surgeon that could help me in this situation? That terrific breast surgeon suggested that I add Dr. Vasile to my list of reconstruction surgeons that I was interviewing. She had nothing but amazing compliments about her. Prior to selecting a specialist for my series of complicated surgeries, I met with eight reconstruction surgeons in order to find the perfect fit for my circumstances. During our initial consultation, it became obvious to me that Dr. Vasile was by far the best fit for my medical team. Don't let her petite stature and softspoken demeanor fool you. Dr. Vasile is a powerhouse of a surgeon. She is intelligent, a pioneer in her field, proficient at complex surgery, consistent, thorough and has a proven track record. However, she is not all business. Dr. Vasile is dedicated to her patients in every way. She is gifted at performing surgeries on individuals that are going through life-changing periods in their lives. In many cases, emotions are running high while we navigate through the process of mastectomies, reconstruction using our own body tissue and potential follow up surgeries or procedures associated with this. Dr. Vasile is kind, thoughtful, approachable, understanding, sensitive, relatable and available. It made my entire experience less stressful just knowing that I could reach out to Dr. Vasile at any time if issues arose post-surgery. Unlike other offices, you always communicate with her. You are not sent to another physician who is covering. It made a big difference for me considering I had multiple surgeries and preferred to attain my advice directly from Dr. Vasile if I had a question or concern. My experience was the best possible scenario I could have asked for. I will admit, although I never show certain emotions, I was nervous at every surgery I have undergone, except when Dr. Vasile has overseen the ER. I always have full confidence that everything will go perfectly when she is in charge. Breast reconstruction is a very personal matter. In my opinion it gets even more personal when you harvest tissue from other body locations to reconstruct. I have recommended Dr. Vasile to many friends, family members and acquaintances. I trust her completely and respect both her surgical abilities and bedside manner. If you are considering reconstruction, you must meet with her. You will not be disappointed!

These 5 star reviews seem to be written by the staff here. There's an English Bulldog in the office. I'm a HUGE animal lover. Before I came, I bought him 10 AUTHENTIC BEEF RIB BONES. Very expensive! I washed them very clean about 10 times, wrapped them carefully & kept them overnight in the fridge for freshness. Last time, I asked Kern if I can bring him bones and she said I can bring him "ANYTHING." He was even playing with a BONE last time we were there! So I brought the bones for the dog and Kern did not even look at them, just flicked her hand & condescendingly said "NO NO! Don't give them to him. He's ALLERGIC." Told me to throw them away! She did NOT even say a simple thank you after how thoughtful I have been. I told her I was happy to bring bones for her dog and traveled a LONG way, transferred 2 times on subway while holding the bag of heavy 10 BIG BONES just for her dog. I was surprised but calmly said, why don't you say thank you? Why tell me a different story because you never said he was allergic before. I was just being thoughtful... Suddenly, she started frowning at me condescendingly, rudely told me that I NEEDED BOTOX in between my eyes! I said I'm old and I do not have much wrinkle in between my eyes and I don't want botox. I called the front desk woman beforehand a few times last month and also this week and each time, she told me that there is a promo for new patients for 2 vials of Kybella with 1 FREE TOUCH UP 6 weeks later. That is ALL SHE SAID so when my daughter and I mentioned this to Kern when we saw her, she said there was NO such promotion and SCREAMED AT US! She also got in my DAUGHTER'S face up close as if she was about to HIT her, face red, eyes huge, & told her to SHUT UP! I was EXTREMELY shocked! Even animal mothers attack those who attack their babies. I was RIGHT THERE with my daughter in the same room but she dares SCREAMS at her to "SHUT UP?!" This is sign of a psychotic woman. How dare she yell at my baby? She even told ME to shut up several times! She ABUSED us. I said I want my money back and she said she WILL NOT give me my money back. In my HONEST OPINION, she acts like a psychotic nutcase. If you see her, you will notice that she does NOT look like she is in her right mind. Also, the dog barks SO loudly NONSTOP! She does not even put him away & lets him stay in the EXAM ROOM when we're there. That place is run amok! Extremely unprofessional, unsanitary to say the least. It is illegal to keep animals running around like this freely in a doctor's office with patient's around. The dog scratched my daughter & me a couple times, ripped my daughter's pants, but we didn't say anything. They need to be INVESTIGATED. I don't think Kern even has her doctor's license. She is a fraud. She does not know how to say 'thank you,' 'you're welcome,' 'please,'. This woman is ill-mannered and has NO class. I was very happy to bring the bones for the dog. No idea it would turn out like this. Now I cannot trust medspas anymore. It is so sad that some people like Kern cannot truly understand and appreciate people's good hearts & intentions. They are greedy & only care about money. SO dry, cold at heart. Now I understand why some people prefer animals over humans. The owner is WORSE than her dog. Honest opinion, she needs to shut down her office and get treatment for her mental problems. Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. Be careful of her! If you do happen to see her, write down EVERYTHING she says or record what she says because she WILL tell you a different story.

My beef is with the billing department. I was billed an additional $40 copay over and above the $35 I paid at the time of service. Despite about three or four phone calls to AD to deal with the overcharge (I first confirmed with my insurance company that it was, indeed, not a valid charge) I continue to get monthly bills. If I want to talk to a human I must submit to the "phone tree" and hold and, in the end, to no effect. The paper bills and threats to send me to collection continue to appear in the mail box. I would bet my credit score is better than anyone in that doctor's office-including the doctor :^) and I don't appreciate being harassed with these bills.
