(this is the first time Ive ever posted a review, anywhere!) My issue is not with the treatment-it was just ok. I would not recommend the Doctor, but I will not dis him either. My beef is with the billing department. I was billed an additional $40 copay over and above the $35 I paid at the time of service. Despite about three or four phone calls to AD to deal with the overcharge (I first confirmed with my insurance company that it was, indeed, not a valid charge) I continue to get monthly bills. If I want to talk to a human I must submit to the "phone tree" and hold and, in the end, to no effect. The paper bills and threats to send me to collection continue to appear in the mail box. I would bet my credit score is better than anyone in that doctor's office-including the doctor :^) and I don't appreciate being harassed with these bills. read more

What a scarring experience on so many levels. Emotionally, physically and financially. I was in a situation where i had to prepay for my procedure, I received a price guide, I overpaid so there would not be any hidden expenses at a later date, with the understanding i would receive a credit. I had a small lump removed which was more bothersome than anything else, 16 mths later i am now left with a much larger red hole. I wish i had left it as it was, its so upsetting. After months trying to track down my refund, I was told I needed to pay even more money. It turns out they billed for addition services that I did not require, request or recieve. I explained this to them and heard no more. I now have received a collection notice from a collection agency, which i had to pay to protect my credit. Dishonest billing practices and scarring results is my take away from this awful experience they put me through. read more

I visited Meryl Blecker Joerg for a skin issue and I was prescribed a medication. I was very happy the way I was taken care of. This was a 3 week long treatment which seems to be working. I had a check in scheduled in 4 weeks time. I confirmed my appointment several days before the second visit. A day before my appointment they called and cancelled my appointment saying they don't take my insurance anymore. They prescribed and started a treatment and refused to check on it. I don't think this was professional or ethical. What if the medication I am prescribed by the doctor as side effects, what if it's not working or causing other issues? read more

I am happy with my doctor, not the staff. I've been calling for several weeks to get a prescription refilled. When calling for a refill I almost always get a voicemail instructing to leave a message and they will call back. They never do. Once I actually got a person to answer. She said she would contact my doctor. Again I've never heard back. If the doctor needs to see me before renewing I would make an appointment but as stated, I've never heard back. read more

Are you sitting down?! This place is horrible! After sitting in the waiting room for 45 plus minutes, (while watching others that came in after my husband and I - walk in and were called right away) we politely asked if we would be seen today! After the prompting, my husband was finally called and...it went straight down hill from there! The doctor rushed into the room muttering about the traffic he was held up in and was scampering around on what appeared to be a breakfast of Redbull and whatever else makes one speedy and jittery...I could go on but out of concern for my poor husband I will just say that you should expect , no bedside manner, no privacy, (as staff walks in and out of the exam room, no respect or concern for your dignity, no commonality of order....Expect to be rushed and not greeted, expect to be treated worse than an animal and expect no professionalism AT ALL! If I could, I would rate this office 0 stars. I had an appointment with Jessica PA on Friday October 16th in the Ossining Office. I made an appointment because I had two small dark spot on my face. Jessica prescribed me a cream and commented that this cream cost 100 dollars or more at the pharmacy but she can sell it to me for 50 dollars, which I purchased. She instructed me to apply this cream every night on my whole face. When I got home I did some research on the cream, and multiple sources said that this specific company and cream are not FDA approved, which made me worried and I decided to call Jessica before I use it on my face. When calling the office someone at the front desk told me that she was with a patient so I left her a messages to call me back as soon as possible. She sent someone else to call me back to say that most likely one of the ingredients in the cream was not FDA approved but it was still safe for me to use. Thank God I did not apply the cream on my whole face, I only applied the cream with a q-tip on my dark spot. 3 days after I applied the cream to my face the right side of my face where the dark spot is, became swollen and the dark spot got bigger and darker. Once again I called Jessica and left her numerous messages and once again she sent her assistant to call me back, which if I'm not mistaken her name is Cynthia. She said to stop using the cream and once my face goes back to normal to start reusing the cream but this time apply it twice a week. I am extremely upset, the reason I went to this office in the first place was to get help but my dark spot got worse. I contacted the Office manager Danielle Paulson to file a complaint about the situation and that is when she gave me an appointment with Dr Chan. At my appointment with Dr. Chan he commented that the use of the cream should have been periodically, like twice a week to start. He also mentioned that I should have been prescribed a less aggressive cream. He said to do a patch test on my back, to see which cream would be the best for me. That is when I asked Danielle, the manager, why wouldn't Jessica mention to do the test before putting it on my face??? I also asked her why Jessica instructed me to apply the cream to my face everyday instead of twice a week? Of course she didn't have an answer for me. I am very very upset of the poor performance from the professionals at this office. Of course I would never ever go back to this place nor would I recommended it to anyone. Besides both offices that I visited, Briarcliff and Ossining, are filthy. The floors and walls are extremely dirty. I am l thinking very seriously about hiring a lawyer because what they did to my face is unacceptable. Here are before and after pictures for reference. Dr Bowe is an excellent clinician..well trained, great eye, and able to explain what she is doing and why it will be effective (or why it may not be) to attain the desired result. I trust her skill and her judgment which is really key because it is so important to feel confidence in the doctor's abilities. I just had a very, very small thing done but she understood that it was a big deal to me. She spends the appropriate amount of time with the patient..not a ton of small talk...which is fine. She is pleasant and very professional.i would have no heitation in recommending g her. Support staff is competent. read more

Beware of appointments with a new young dr Monica Costantinescu who just got accredited in NY (moved from CA). Being tricked into a follow up appointment with her - the receptionist told that it was the 2nd dr in the room during my prior appointment (it wasn't !) The new dr assings the most aggresive and pricey treatment that will leave scars, which was not recommended prior by treating dr. Moreover, being asked to come for appnt earlier, ended up with 30 min+ wait - no apologies from the dr or receptinist. read more

I liked the staff though, I nearly lost it when the receptionist looked at my insurance card and said, "We don't take this insurance at this office." It turned out she was wrong thankfully. I was able to get an appt for a non-emergency in a couple of days. I liked the PA who treated me (Julie/Julia) which is what mattered the most to me. I trusted her. I would recommend this office. My insurance referred me to this office and I have NEVER been treated so rudely by the staff in any other establishment in my life. The doctor had me wait for over 45 minutes and when he saw me scoffed at my concerns about the medication he wanted to prescribe me. I called the dermatologists office 6 times in the next 3 weeks to see what was going on because the doctor's office WOULD NOT call the Pharmacy back to coordinate.
