This review is specifically for the summer camp: I enrolled my 5 year old in one week of the summer…read morecamp. I was extremely disappointed in the level of professionalism by the staff and was concerned regarding the supervison and oversite. On his first day, there was very little effort to welcome him and help him get acclimated to the new environment. I stayed to observe for a bit and realized quickly that it would be very easy for a young camper to wander away. When I spoke with one of the staff to let her know that my kiddo could be impulsive at times and I wanted to make sure he wouldn't get lost, the reply I got was "if he gets lost don't worry, it won't be for long" um....what?! Not the reply I was expecting. I also arrived one morning, and observed most of the staff leaving on a field trip, which left only one staff in charge of the over 20 young campers still there. When I checked in about the ratio, which I was told is 12 to 1, I inquired about when that staff would get support since she was out of ratio. She had no idea. I had to go find the director and make him aware of the situation, which he seemed bothered by the fact that I was bringing this to his attention. Also there were times when I picked up my son that I was not asked for my ID, or once I was asked, but when they could not find their binder to compare my information with my son's file, they just said "oh nevermind, it's fine". This was not a well run situation and I did not feel safe having my son there. I reached out to upper management and let them know my concerns, however no one ever responded. This was unacceptable.

I have visited this Y twice only - first time to get set up with personal trainer service and the…read moresecond time to meet my new trainer. Their weight rooms are small with less equipment compared to other locations in the area so we set up our following sessions elsewhere. They have two pools here - one outside that's seasonal (I think) and an indoor pool year round - and you make timed reservations via their app. Super easy to use and you can block out 30 minute increments as available in each lane with no limit to how long you want to swim - so helpful in avoiding conflicts! They also have a small weight room with nautilus machines and some free weights, and a treadmill room that includes bikes, ellipticals and a stair master. They have weekly classes you can also sign up for - also very easy to do in their app. They don't have as many class offerings as they used to though - but I think they're all still trying to get things back up and running again from the pandemic. This location does seem to offer more classes than the Monrovia location at the moment. The staff are all so helpful and friendly! Prices are very reasonable- especially compared to all the other gyms in the area - I've been shopping around for general gym services with a pool and personal trainer for several months now and the prices here beat all the others. They have ample parking but it's near a local park and fills up fast.

The atmosphere is welcoming, and the training is both challenging and enjoyable. The equipments are more than enough to work on. I didn't realize how big of a difference having a personal coach is until I tried this last December. A special thanks to Joe Poon for being so accommodating and flexible throughout the workouts. His insights and attention to proper form made a big difference, and I really appreciated how he took the time to understand my goals and provide helpful feedback. Joe also shared practical tips on nutrition and muscle gain, which gave me a much better understanding of how to complement my workouts outside the gym. If you're just getting started with fitness or looking to improve your current routine, I highly recommend giving SOFIT SoCal Fitness a try. Great experience and a great way to get started on the right path! My journey with SoFit was cut short as I need to move to another state but hope to go back if ever I get a chance to move back in the area.

What I really enjoy about working with him is that he helps me focus on things I would normally overlook or never think to train. There are exercises that target and strengthen muscle groups I didn't even realize I needed to work on. He also helps me achieve a full range of motion on certain movements that I honestly don't think I could properly do on my own. I'm someone who is extremely frugal with my money, so I don't spend on things like this lightly. But if you're on a fitness journey and can afford the sessions, I highly recommend giving it a try. Heck, at the very least, go in for the free intro session so you can see what you've been missing out on.

I've tried so many of the instructors, and everyone has their own vibe. Some are harder than others. It's really cool to figure out your favorites, and switch things up when needed etc. Unlike many other Lagree Studios, when you walk in, you enter a lobby first..Not just boom there's the machines and a cubbyhole for your things. There's a full lobby with seating and a separate room to place your items. The machines are further in the back in another room, which disconnects you from the entry door and windows. So when you're in session, you're not distracted by cars driving by or anything like that. I also really like the ambience. I prefer dark over squeaky bright studios. When it's time for class, the music is blaring and you lock tf in. The instructors are good at correcting your form when needed, and you can tell that the studio has a great deal of respect for Lagree. I've heard people complain about the parking, and I totally get it. But typically if you arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your class, parking shouldn't be an issue. Ive only ever had an issue when I'm running a little late. You can have private events here too which is nice. I celebrated my birthday and it was cute and something different to do with my friends.

The space isn't bougie; it's clean, functional, and designed for training, not selfies. It creates an environment where utility comes first, and you never feel intimidated walking in.
