I've been here three times since I have been in Rome (Will be here for 4 months) and after the third time, I have to say I will never come back.
1st visit: Now before I start, I have only tried the sushi here so I cannot critique the Chinese dishes. I am a sushi addict and I stumbled upon this place from yelp. I saw it had pretty good reviews so I decided to check it out. My first visit I had a pretty good experience. The staff was very polite even though we could not communicate due to the language barrier. I ordered two rolls and kept it basic ( Spicy Tuna, Spicy Salmon) along with a miso soup. The sushi was good by Rome standards, I was satisfied. Now.. this place offers an all you can eat option where you can order as much as you want from the menu for 15 euro. Now just like in the states, they say they will charge you full price for any dish that is not completed. However, due to the language barrier, I did not know this option existed.
2nd visit: I came here about a week later on a weekend and it was packed. I decided to do the all you can eat option. I ordered egg drop soup, spicy tuna roll, and another specialty roll with salmon and tuna. No complaints, the sushi was better than my first visit.
3rd visit: Now due to the language barrier I couldn't really ask the wait staff about the particular rolls (though there is an English menu it is very vague) It looked as if a lot of people were ordering crab rolls so I decided to try a few. This time I ordered three rolls ( one spicy tuna and the two other had crab in them but I cannot remember the names.) The rolls came and right away I noticed that the crab looked very strange. It looked as if it was dried up and not fresh at all. I took a bite and it was completely vile. Now, I know it is not as common to complain/return your food in Italy as it is in the states however I had to say something. ( Now remember, I chose the all you can eat option so I didn't want to be stuck paying 13 euro for each role.) I called over the waitress and told her that the fish is definitely not fresh. She didn't understand and gave me her phone to translate it to Chinese. She then apologized and took only one crab plate away instead of both. Now I wasn't going to complain more. She came back over and asked if the other sushi was bad too. I told her it was not good. I then got the bill and I was charged for just the one sushi I didn't eat and the soup. The bill ended up being 18 euro instead of 15 ( Which I did not really care)
Now, I gave this place a chance but I will probably never come back. The quality and freshness of the fish they use is questionable and your better off going to a place that Is a little bit nicer where you know the fish is fresh. read more
