Miso ramen, takoyaki, & watermelon soda.

When in Rome, eat Japanese food! Kisaki to the rescue when you need a break from Italian cuisine. Food is very good. Their broth is just right, not too salty like some other ramen places & their takoyaki is legit, perfectly done. Staff are very nice. It's very pretty inside. Bookmarking this place next time I'm in the area.

Food was good, service was great and fast, spoke english well. It's located in a small piazza which was quiet yet a good place to people watch. We needed a break from the meats, pastas and croissants lol!

I'm so glad I read the positive Yelp reviews and decided to have dinner at Kisaki. I specifically went for Shojin Veg Ramen and it was excellent. A big bowl of steaming broth, perfect noodles, pickled ginger, fresh mushrooms and scallion, plus lots of spinach was just what I wanted. The staff was gracious and the restaurant itself is pretty and peaceful. I might have to go again and try something else! A wonderful alternative after days of pizza and pasta.

Can't say enough good things. The fish is very fresh and they even offer gluten free soy sauce. Wasabi and ginger are tasty too. I kept it simple and got the nigiri tasting with toppings and the pairings were done really well. The passion fruit seeds on the shrimp was a pleasant surprise but my favorite were the tuna and salmon.

What a sweet surprise here in Rome. The food was fresh and delicious. A refreshing change to the normal pizza and pasta found along this strip. The staff was courteous and attentive. We have a winner here. Enjoy

Excellent ramen and rice dishes. Wish I had more room for sushi this time. If you need something a little different from local cuisine this is a great place for that.

Asians cannot live on pasta alone. So when in Rome you don't have to do what the Romans do. After having some of the best pasta of our lives, we craved something else for our tastebuds. We were blown away by the quality of the food here. The soba noodles here is probably one of the best I have ever had. And I have been to Tokyo before. The dashi broth was outstanding. As soon as our lovely waitress placed it in front of me, the aroma was intoxicating. The sushi chef expertly prepared the Usuzukuri Moriawase. Each slice was heavenly. There was a bit of pepper taste which required us to not have to use any wasabi. To finish off our meal, we had the Matcha Doramisu. It's like a Tiramisu but Matcha flavor. So yummy. So if you want Japanese in Rome, I highly recommend this place!!!

Delicious!! Super cute modern clean decor. Efficient service and authentic Japanese food. My steak was perfectly cooked and delicious, my son salmon was excellent, my husband sushi fresh and firm! Highly recommended!

I walked in and was instantly greeted then sat. The ambience is very quaint and enjoyable that makes you forget how hectic is it right outside . Ordered the edamame and the crunchy California tempura. Edamame could have used just a bit for salt for my personal preference, but a generous serving for one- two people. The sushi was delicious and the sauces served with it were flavorful. It was a bit more on the pricey end for full rolls which is the only reason I took off a star.

Had a nice dinner while I was in Rome visiting. Definitely worth it the food was amazing and the service was great too. Servers spoke English. It's a very dark and moody type of setting but makes the perfect dinner ambiance.

I loved the quiet music they played, the ambiance, the decor, the service, and the food! They have udon, soba, ramen, sushi, and sashimi, desserts and drinks! The sake sushi was so soft to bite into, a bit more rice than I like, so a larger rice to fish ratio, but it was still yummy & the presentation was great! The udon is different from the udon i usually get in the U.S.. The broth was super salty, so I would avoid this if you wanted something similar to udon in the U.S., and the udon noodles are skinny, and thin. It was good, just not what I prefer for udon. The servers spoke English so I was able to order with ease. I'd definitely visit again, maybe to try the ramen & definitely get more sushi. Also to grab a dessert because I was so full from my meal.

ordered Katsudon, loved it. I was fancy for some rice, this was perfect. there was only 1 waiter working, so slower a bit.

Food was good, not great. Ambience was very pleasing. Service was bad, not the welcoming type, needs improvement.

We asked the staff at the hotel but they only wanted to recommend their restaurant. We almost gave in until we finally go a recommendation from the bartender. You know they always know what's up! After a short walk from our hotel we spotted That's Amore! A cute, quaint restaurant conveniently located! I wasn't expecting much as I know they say there are a lot of "tourist traps." I was socially so pleasantly surprised! I didn't want to write this review until I tried a few other pasta spots and I can confidently say this is one of the better ones...much better! I tried the Fettuccine al tartufo nero e funghi porcini( €13) as it was one of the few pastas that came with handmade noodles. And truffles?! A no brainer. The fettuccine came out perfectly al dente and don't even get me started on the sauce... DROOL! My dad liked it so much we signed up for their cooking class for tomorrow. I hope it's just as epic!

It was one of the rare sushi places that was actually open on Monday. It was also quite warm in the restaurant. Admittedly, we were in Rome during a major heat wave, so maybe their A/C just didn't have the power to keep up. As far as the rolls go, they had the typical sushi rolls that you find in most sushi restaurants. It tasted fresh and was pretty good basic sushi rolls. Maybe it's me or maybe my sushi has become to "americanized", but I like places that have specialty rolls. I like the ones that have spicy mayo sauce, or smelt roe, or avocado slices on top, or tuna/salmon on top, or spicy pepper, or etc etc etc. In my opinion, Rokko was simply basic sushi. Don't get me wrong. It was good, just basic. Bottom line - Open on Monday (at least during the summer months). Good but basic sushi. I wanted more variety in the rolls. Personally, if I want sushi the next time I'm in Rome, I may try a different place first simply to see if they have better variety. If you do decide to try Rokko, I think you'll be treated well by the staff. They're friendly. Bon appétit.

They usually take reservations only; but you can sometimes get lucky (like we did as a table for two) by waiting before they opened for a walk-in spot. We did have to get there before their official 6pm dinner time opening and wait 45 min to get a seating time on a weekday (a line was already forming prior to 6pm), but it was well worth it. (Plus it was nicely air conditioned! Which was rare in center city Rome) Food wise, we got their zucchini soup, braised duck with plums, carbonara, and tiramisu. My husband really enjoyed the braised duck, and I ordered the carbonara, which was especially delicious -- it was a perfect pasta texture, nice and eggy, with small bits of crispy fried pork mixed in!
