After a quarter of a century I broke that policy with Dim Sun in Rome and I was pleasantly surprised. The sun sun was serviceable. Good tastes. Nothing off-putting at all. And the nice atmosphere, great service, and air conditioning on a brutally hot summer day didn't hurt either. An enjoyable experience all around. Hit it up when you need that small lunch to tide you over until your late dinner of carbonara or cacio e pepe.

Their dim sum menu wasn't too extensive as compared to dim sum restaurants in Chicago, London, SFC, NYC, Toronto, etc. We tried a couple of dim sum items, beef chow fun and hot & sour soup. The soup was really good. The beef chow fun and dim sum wasn't bad although not the same level as most big cities that have Chinatowns. I would say for Rome it's good given there isn't a huge Chinese population. If you need your dim sum or Chinese food fix, this isn't a bad choice.

My husband and I split a box, we did udon noodles, a dark soy and ginger sauce, and picked a few veggies to add (in addition to the cabbage and egg it comes with). It was awesome to see them cook it right in front of us. The space is small and definitely tucked in amongst the bigger restaurants in the square. We were delighted at the variety of the menu and wanted to give it a try. EVERYTHING was fantastic!! At lunch hour it was busy but we managed to find a seat for two right away. The hostess told us the specials for the day which included an entree, coffee and dessert for 12 euros! My Husband got that and I decided to do a few of the small plates to try different things because everything sounded so good and it was! I wish I would've taken a picture but we couldn't wait to dig in!
