Ok HELLO?? The aesthetic is so zen and charming inside!! I swear Taiwanese tea shops are so calming…read moreand peaceful. And the place is so fragrant with the natural aroma of tea. While we were waiting for our drinks we sat at this really cute window nook and just took in the peacefulness. The server was very helpful with tea selections and knew which teas paired with what flavours. I got the non caffeinated tea (picture) with honey, no sugar, with grassy, and no ice. My wife had a mango tea with foam. Our drinks were perfect. I love that it was zero fuss. Surprisingly not very busy but we did just have a killer snowstorm. I'm definitely coming back here more often.

I noticed this Chicha San Chen and wanted to check it out. Jason joined me to work off some of the ramen that he had devoured. I've been to the Chicha San Chen at CF Markville. This store is at least twice as big as that location. There were plenty of places to sit down and enjoy your tea. I had a couple of fruity sparkling drinks at the CF Markville place. I was going to ask the man behind the counter if he had them. Instead, he said that he'd be back and I could look at the menu. It was delivered in a not-now-I'm-busy tone. It was odd. It's the only reason why this place doesn't get five stars. I'm so glad that Jason was with me. He said that the woman at CF Markville suggested that he get the high mountain pouchong tea with lemon juice and konjac. I decided to go with this drink. I got this drink with less sugar and less ice. I paid with my debit card on my phone. I tapped and was done. It didn't take much time for this drink to be made. It was nice chatting up a storm with Jason as we waited. The moment of truth was here. My drink was ready. I took a sip. It was awesome! The foam tasted like lemon meringue. The tea was perfect with the lemon juice. The konjac was chewy. I haven't had konjac since I visited Song Tea eons ago (rest in bubble tea peace). I wish that this drink came in a larger size. I drank it too fast... haha! I had a great experience with my friend's recommendation. I like that there's lot of parking in this plaza. I'd return again for more good bubble tea. Maybe staff will be more cheerful then. (437)

We popped by after a night at the movies and saw they have end of day discounts on their baked…read moregoods. We picked up a mango swirl croissant and a tiramiau swirl croissant. Despite it being end of day, it wasn't stale or hard to eat. Thw outside was still flaky and crispy, while the inside layers were still moist and soft. The cream inside was a burst of flavor. I had cut the croissants in half based on the outer chocolate dip location and thought the tiramisu one was lacking filling, only to discover it all hiding in one of the halves lol

This is a joint Bake Code and Chatime. I know I'm not supposed to expect much from end of day…read moresales, but I was thoroughly disappointed at the dryness and saltiness of their savoury Taiwanese sausage bun. I feel like they could either cook it to be more moist or store it better, and for sure don't add salt to something already salty. I visited yesterday evening at ~8:50PM after watching a movie as I was starving and tired and needed a little something for the commute home in north east Scarborough. Service was friendly and the staff was helpful with my questions. The store has booth - chair table seating so you could sit with just 2 people at a time at a table or join the tables for larger groups. Their bakery brand (Bake Code) features a variety of innovated desserts and baked breads. They have several different ongoing promotions, like if you buy 6+ buns, you pay no tax. If you buy 5 buns, you get one free. End of day sale for buns is 25% OFF. They have a VIP card for $20 that gives you 10% off buns on every visit for a year. The Taiwanese sausage bun was featured as the bun of the month. The promotions do not stack so you get the best available deal. In my case, it was the 25% off. 2 of the savoury croissants we had were just crispy dry. When I eat a croissant, I expect something moist and buttery. This was neither. I don't live in the area so I won't be back for the goods. Maybe the drinks.

Nobody ask how many times I got the 1L bubble tea... but overall loved it. There's no wrong moment to have bubbles tea. The sugar and ice level requests are seen in the photos. Pro: Drinks were made quickly Con: - the staff that took my order was impatient. I made one order and she quickly asked, "is that it?". - the jade jasmine milk tea was was supposed to come with sago. She told me that it was discontinued. When I asled her what other toppings there are - she impatiently said, it's right there (sign on the plexi glass) or up there (pointing to the electronic menu) - jasmine jade milk tea: 30% sugar tasted like no sugar, might as well have ordered 0% sugar - pearls: really hard for both drinks - we politely asked for a bag when we got our drinks. She looked annoyed, pointed at the sign and said "it's 15 cents!" Overall: 1/5 - Disappointing. I have had much better service at all of the other Chatimes I have been to. definitely will not be returning to this location.
