This location is on the bottom floor of the Pioneer Place Shopping Mall. The employees were nice both times that I visited. While a franchise, I've never been to a Kung Fu Tea before and I was happily surprised to see such a wide variety of drinks, even though they are currently soft opening and don't have their full menu just yet. Kung Fu Tea offers a range of drinks, such as milk tea drinks, punch, yogurt based drinks, and my new favorite sweet treat, their Oreo "Wow Milk" drink, made with lactose-free milk, oreos, and a bunch of their absolutely fantastic boba. If you like Oreo shakes/McFlurries, this is definitely a drink you need to try. The tea itself tastes fresh and wasn't over-brewed. I've tried their honey oolong tea and their winter melon tea, and both were so refreshing on sunny afternoons. There are 6 or 7 different types of tea that will be available once Kung Fu Tea does their grand opening on July 16 (Important: They'll be offering buy one get one free drinks on that day!) and I can't wait to work my way through them...and the rest of the menu on that note. What really makes this place a standout, however, is the boba. It's the best. The tapioca balls tasted fresh and had the perfect balance of chewiness and softness. Even more importantly, the boba actually has flavor! They are soaked in honey, adding a wonderful amount of sweetness to otherwise flavorless tapioca (as most other places do). This is the second time I visited te newer location. The first time was the soft learning where they only took cash and ran out of a majority of items and toppings. This time they had everything in place, which was good. The interior is small and there us no room to lounge, which is not needed since it's in the mall near the food court area. Although I do find that their drinks are a bit on the sweeter side so I always ask for the sweetness to be adjusted. The staff is also super friendly. I like it, I think it offers the best milk tea within its price range in downtown area. The milk tea tastes far better than surrounding food cart's. They advertise they use real leaf to brew the tea, and it tastes like real tea instead of powder. I am not sure about the milk though. Their milk tea is a little bit sweet for my taste but it's manageable. I am still glad we have a decent milk tea shop near my office. They also offer a lot of variety for different type of drinks. For $3.75, it has a good value. FYI: Tea house milk tea tastes a little better but their price is 25% more expensive than Kung Fu Tea.
