The Honey Lemonade with mango popping boba from Kung Fu Tea in Philadelphia is one of those drinks that immediately stands out after the first sip. The lemonade has the perfect balance of sweetness and tartness, creating a refreshing flavor that is especially enjoyable on a warm day. The honey adds a smooth, natural sweetness that makes the drink taste richer without being overpowering. read more

I placed an order thru mobile app on April 29, I have scheduled it for 3 PM. Around 2, I had missed 2 calls from Kung Fu Tea. When I calls them back, one of the girls told me my drinks been sitting there for 2 hours already. I told her why is my drinks sitting there when I scheduled it for 3pm? She was confused and told me she will give me a call back. Obviously she never calls back. So I call her back, she admit it that was her mistakes and she is remaking the drinks now. That was a TOTAL LIE! All of my 5 drinks taste water down. As I stated from other reviews, their onigiri were never the same. Which I never bought again from this location. But now I just won't ever buy anything from here ever again! Bunch of liars!!!! read more

Wait time can be a bit long, that's probably why they provide the experience of table games, music and tv. You won't mind the wait. The drinks are whatever you want them to be, there are so many different options and variations that you could never be bored. I usually get mine with 50% sugar and no pearls. And yes, it still tastes great without the extra sugar read more

Kung Fu Tea always satisfies my boba cravings. We ordered the oreo wow (cream with oreo cookies) and wintermelon tea with boba. Both were yummy, yummy! Service and staff were polite, they took my order quickly. I had questions about the difference of drinks and they struggled to answer which was not an issue and I was happy with what I got. The store is pretty spacious, there's some seating and space for you to do homework or sit and chat with a friend. There's wooden tables for working and the low top ones better for chatting. There's also a restroom which is convenient! The location is convenient, right next to the Roosevelt Mall. My friend and I went on a little walk and grabbed some to go. There is ample parking around so no need to drive around the block multiple times. You could also park across the street and walk over. read more

t, ensuring every bubble tea is crafted to perfection. The fresh ingredients shine through in each flavorful sip, all while keeping prices incredibly wallet-friendly. For their grand opening this weekend they had six drink options for a BOGO deal! I got the Cocoa Cream Wow and the White Grape Punch Drinks! With a focus on inclusivity, they offer kid-friendly options like caffeine-free and lactaid-free drinks. Ordering ahead via the Kung Fu Tea app is seamless, and you can earn rewards towards future boba cravings. Plus, with locations across the US, your Kung Fu Tea fix is never far away. The atmosphere is welcoming to all, and I was impressed to learn they offer catering for events and have ample space for large groups. They even have two claw machines in their store to win plushies! If you're a bubble tea enthusiast or simply curious, this is the place to be! I can't wait to return and share this delightful experience with family and friends. Thanks to Mei and her team for bringing such a vibrant spot back to Cottman Avenue! read more

I will give a 3 stars instead of a 4 stars. It was the first time trying them in Philadelphia. I have the eel rice ball, Kani rice ball, and the shrimp tempura rice ball. They even have some sauce on the side. It was a little disappointed. I wish there were some seasoning mixed with the rice. So without the sauce, it becomes a bit bland. But I do like shrimp tempura rice ball. It gives a sweet taste to it. The Kani riceball was good too. It has a sweet taste from the crab meat. The eel riceball was alright. I feel like I was eating more rice then eel. Overall, there was a bit too much rice. So maybe a bit less rice just to balance between the ingredients and the rice, might have been perfect. It just needs a little more improvement with the riceball. I would recommend to customize the riceball. Maybe add a little extra ingredients if people decided to get it. read more

Parking is definitely an issue. Some times I can park right in front of the business, other times I've had to park in a parking lot behind the plaza and walk up. Im not a fan of parking far away to get food to go so thats a bit of a turn off. The location doesn't have the most appealing store front and it even looks like the door is broke but everything inside is clean and quiet. read more

The chicken options here are different than the other Kung fu tea's. Curry chicken poppers here are insanely good. Sauce is crazy good. Tea is like every other place and prices are debatable read more

worst experience! ordered popcorn chicken garlic and was up all night throwing up , with a tight stomach . DO NOT GET

So this is my favorite bubble tea spot. I've never had a bad experience at any of their locations and I've been to a lot of them locally in Pennsylvania and Princeton NJ. What I love about them is the app, very easy to use, very quick, especially now with social distancing, you order, wait a few minutes, call or text them that you're here and you go to the door, hand you your stuff and you're on your way! Before social distancing, I admit I didn't really use the app much. But it was pretty easy just to walk in and place an order. read more

After coming here for years, I can definitely say that I love this place! The employees were very nice, and they greeted me when I came in. Their hospitality makes my day so much better. This one girl, who I think her name was Kayla, made my drink one day. She seems like a nice person! I really like how the atmosphere is pretty chill, and I love the music that plays in there. It's pretty diverse with what kind of music plays every day, but I still enjoy listening to it nonetheless. I ordered a regular milk tea with brown sugar bubbles (highly recommend over the regular bubbles), and it was pretty milky. If you're starting out your milk tea journey, I recommend getting their milk tea if you're in the mood for something milky. Overall, it's a fun little place to hang out and chill! Their drinks are pretty good, and their appetizers are even better! I definitely recommend coming here for the vibes. read more

Just ordered some rice balls and fried chicken. Waited for about 20 mins. They did not notify me before hands that they ran out of Spicy mayo for the rice balls. What the f***?! They need better training. This isn't the first time it happens in this KFT! Horrible. read more

Honestly, most kft are very consistent in the flavor of their drinks. I always order oolong milk tea here (and probably too much) the workers have started to recognize me and are always ready to give me my order (hehe boba addict) anyways, I'll be nice and suggest a good tip to order the drinks on the app for pick up. That way once you arrive the drink is ready and you don't have to wait in line unexpectedly. You can grow points and get money off your drinks, it works in most kft. Also it's good to know what order you like cause I tried the rose milk tea and it was horrible to me (xAx) definitely sticking to my oolong boba thanks :P Download the Kung Fu Tea Rewards app and get $$ towards a Free Drink! https://www.thelevelup.com/c/TW-QX0YBN7VAT read more

It's been awhile since I ordered a Kung Fu Milk Tea from them. This time I was somewhat disappointed because I didn't like the switch of their tea in their milk tea. They are now using Earl grey tea, which I personally not a big fan of that. read more

Came here on a weekday afternoon with my 5 year old. The place is spacious and organized. The staff are very young and asian. I ordered oreo ice cream and both types of chicken both came out good but I do have to say the chicken is dry depending on which piece you get. People: The type of crowd you will get are high school/ middle school kids from around the neighborhood. Parking: Street parking is available in front. Staff: Attentive, quick. Games: Many games are missing pieces and looks dirty, but at least they have them for people to play. Atmosphere: Young/Hipster. Bottom line: Get in, order what you want and leave. read more

Kung Fu tea has some really great teas. My daughters love coming here and I do as well. The teas are always freshly made and they have a large selection of Tea and Boba and other refreshments. They also have limited food options if you're looking for a quick snack. The staff there is always friendly and professional. They always have a smile in their faces. read more

I love the different flavors Kung fu tea has! My go to here is usually taro milk tea but when I'm looking for something lighter I order a fruit tea. Average waiting time is 30 to 40 minute since the staff are super-slow every time, no exceptions!

When I ordered a hot milk tea, it didn't come out hot at all. Even though it was in the correct cup for hot beverages, when you drink it, it comes out either cold or warm. I've never had this happen to me at any other Kung Fu Tea other than this one so I am quite disappointed because drinking something that comes out cold and warm at the same time does not do me any good. The same drink I order at another location actually comes out HOT so I'm not sure what happened at this location. read more

Not my favorite location of KFT I've been to. Kind of irritating that you can only pay with card after a $15 minimum. I do like that they've redone the place and it looks more modern on the inside. I usually stick to the same flavors of bubble tea, mostly the taro slush with bubbles and they do a good job with making it. The place gets pretty busy in the afternoon/night, but the workers are pretty friendly even though the wait is long. read more

Had to create a Yelp account because I was simply appalled at the poor service at this location. When they greeted me, it was a girl speaking in a monotone voice like she didn't even want me to be there. The high schoolers are not trained and always make my drink and get my order wrong. They are too busy chit-chatting and laughing at each other's antics than working. Also disgusting hygiene. I noticed they do not wash their hands often (I sat there for an hour and did not see hand washing once) and I found a curly hair sealed in my drink. They also wiped my drink with a dirty rag off the counter. I was appalled when they asked me to select a tip option! For what? Being dirty? This has happened more than once at this location. I recommend Starbucks, for their cleanliness. Also ridiculous that a medium cup is $6-7. read more

My least KFT location, but the most convenient, since I live in the area. The location lacks vibes, but it still somehow attracts the young kids as a hangout spot. My friend introduced me to her favorite drink, which is the Honey Milk Green Tea with Pudding. Since then, it's been my favorite go-to drink hot or cold. They do make it too sweet here compared to other locations. No big deal since I usually just add water to it when I get home to not only balance the taste, but to prolong it nah mean? The workers here work much slower than the other locations I've been to. It usually takes 5 to up to 10 minutes to get my drink even if it's not that busy. They usually run out of green or oolong tea, which can be pretty annoying. They have a minimum of $15 to use card, so make sure you have cash unless you're ordering a few drinks. Overall, a convenient location for some good bubble tea. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with KFT. They're teas for the most part are good. They have a ton of flavors and varieties but it can be a bit overwhelming. They charge for boba which is ridiculous. You're at a bubble tea spot! Bubbles should be included, duh. I tried their cheesesteak egg rolls and they were dry and I wouldn't order again. Another drawback to KFT is the $15 credit card minimum. I never carry cash so that's annoying. And lastly the employees here act like they're over life and being a tea server is so hard. Get a grip kids read more

KFT on Cottman Ave.! I like the one in Chinatown, and this one did not disappoint either. I had the medium oolong milk tea w/ bubble($3.75), 30% sugar. It was perfect! Creamy, nice tea flavor. The boba were a nice chewy consistency, and a little sweet. Just the right amount of ice. The young girl working there was helpful in answering my questions. Took less than 5 minutes to complete my order; but I was the only one in the joint. I shall return if I'm in the area. read more

My 'go to' spot for drinks!!! I love this location of Kung fu tea, everyone who works there always so happy and welcoming, (polite and professional staff), drinks are always on point and they will accommodate any of your request. This is a great little gem of a place that deserves more love. Tucked away on Cottman Ave. in that little stretch between the bank, steak place, gas station and that God awful medical center, you've probably been by it a bunch of times and not even noticed. But you should. I have never had a bad experience of item from here. I'll admit I am new to the food part. I like what I like, which is the coconut milk bubble tea, (always great!) but I ordered the Chicken Rice Ball as a nosh when I was in a rush and it was great! And when I went back, it was great again. I tend to stick to what I like, and I like these at the moment very much! I will eventually branch out but for now I'm good! The place has always been very clean. The staff have always been really nice. It's a bummer COVID changed things because it was always pretty full and seemed like a cool hang out spot. And honestly, there aren't many of those in the NE. But they make due and that's good. I feel like eventually that area is going to become a "thing" or at least an attempt and having a nice little spot like this bodes well. There aren't many places worth hitting up, let alone walking to around there and this is one. read more

I've been drinking bubble tea for so long in different places and branches of Kung Fu Tea but this location gave me a bubble tea that taste like COMPLETE SOAP. Aside from waiting for 20 mins to get our drinks, We tried going back to let them know that our drinks doesn't taste right. However, this girl who worked in the register shut the doors and ignored us. I would not recommend going to this location because, firstly, the offer bubble teas that taste like soap, and second, they have a really bad customer service. Don't waste your money on this location :) read more

We always come back to this KFT location on Cottman. We appreciate the consistent EXCELLENT Customer Service here: especially from Zhi, who knows us by name...and by our respective drinks! Besides her helpful recommendations, Zhi is especially conscientious about the sugar content in my drink, per my customized request, because I have to watch my sugar intake. I usually use the app when ordering and paying which makes it super convenient to customize and ENJOY. First of all, let me point out that this Kung fu tea location isn't even apart of the kung fu tea franchise like that. They just bought the kung fu tea name and made it their own because they do not even use the kung fu tea app and they sell different things here. I got to say that this is the worse kung fu tea location in philly. Their bubble teas are literally water, flavor, and powdered milk. Their drinks aren't even that good. I honestly would not recommend people coming here for drinks because their teas aren't even made out of fresh ingredients. read more

The latest ridiculousness at kung fu tea is their payment system. They have a rewards app that uses LevelUp, and links to your credit card to let you pay and earn rewards with a QR code. The part they don't tell you, is that you can only use LevelUp to pay for the drink portion of your order. If you have food in your order, you have to pay for the drinks using LevelUp and the food separately. And then of course, there's the $15 credit card minimum that applies to your food. So unless you only order drinks, or you make sure to order $15 or more worth of food every time, you can pretty much never get rewards at this place. Reducing my rating to three stars until they figure out how customer service works in the 21st-century. read more

Once you place an order, be prepared to wait at least 35 minutes for your drinks. It's been like this for the past 6 months or so.

This Kung Tea is weird being as though you cannot add bubbles to some of the drinks. I've never been to a Boba place that forbids you from adding a signature part of Boba to the base. Not to mention, a $15 minimum for card usage is a little ridiculous. But the woman at the front was very kind. read more
